Herman will stay behind in K16 so that if the charm works and the bridge collapses or the water trap is sprung, he will be close by to spring into action and shoot the enemy with his bow. If Cirrus signals the charm didn't work, he can then climb the chimney and reach Cirrus faster.
Ready Action: Movement (Dash) - Direction will depend on whether the charm works or not
(OOC: If he Dashes as a Ready action, will that give him 60ft of movement on his turn? Can use that movement to by-pass the athletics check to climb the chimney? If I'm not mistaken a creature without a climbing speed can still climb surfaces but climbing 5ft takes up 15ft of movement.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(ooc: Right I'm back with a laptop, normal service should hopefully be resumed)
Gilari turns to Vimak and says "If you're willing to shield him" pointing at Cirrus, "I will stay one step ahead of you both. Then when something unexpected happens there is at least another body between the lynchpin of our plan and the action." He smirks a little at the genasi. "No need to get you roughed up without good reason eh?!" With that last remark he turns and heads out across the bridge, his eyes struggling in the darkness, but his ears listening out for every drip of water in the cave.
Gilari will move across the bridge hugging the southern wall and scouting ahead until he reaches the cover of the stalagmite in H22. He'll stay there until either the rest are happy to move or an enemy approaches.
Cirrus will move to I-23, with his dogs 20 ft. because he wants to protect them even though the original plan was to use them to do the killing for us, out his pipes to his mouth, then he will raise his other hand and hold up three fingers...then two...then one...then he will jump to J24, point at Klarg, and play a generic JRPG "<character> joined the party" tune, and say "Woah! are you THE Klarg? Terror of the Sword Coast? I'm such a huge fan! Let's talk! Don't sic your wolves on me!"
Cirrus has cast charm person. Klarg must now make a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by me. He does not have advantage because I am the only one on the doorway and I am not attacking him.
You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
(Sorry cirrus, I did forget to include that, but more or less yeah, i forgot to put in that essentially the goblins wont help because if you fail, they're next. And if they help you with a deal.... then technically the deal is void, because its not 'you' doing it. I'll allow it Herman.)
Due to a severe lack of warning, Klarg wasn't ready to ambush anyone, as he was unaware that anyone was there. The waterfall makes a lot of noise as it fills into the water trap. Meaning if you want to be heard by allies, you'll have to shout.
Klarg raises his morningstar, and slams it into the ground about 20 feet away from Cirrus as he speaks, blustering like a gorilla making sure its dominance wasn't challenged. The ground and rock near Cirrus splintered and cracked with the force. Then Cirrus began speaking... weaving a spell into his words (Save: 1) Klarg falls completely under his spell, with no chance of escape. Hearing Cirrus' words. The wolves nearby got up, growled menacingly but Klarg signaled for them to stand down.
OOhgh.... Ooogh... Klarg not remember you... but.... Klarg know you friend.. How Klarg forget you? Klarg charges forward, picking up Cirrus into a bear hug dealing -1 damage. Klarg begins chewing at Cirrus' hair, much like a monkey would if looking for fleas and ticks. Klarg gently pats Cirrus head after. If Cirrus' could see right now, Klarg would have stars in his eyes at Cirrus' very existence.
(Yeah, Cirrus might feel a twinge of guilt when we kill him, but he believes Yeemik's promise that he will put a stop to the ambushes.)
Cirrus looks excited and relieved that his spell worked, and also a little grossed out at the current state of his hair. Cirrus responds a bit louder than he needs to, to let any number of his allies know what's going on, "Well!...Friend! It's about your latest ambush. You see, the cart that you took some supplies from, I was hired to protect that cart, and so I dearly need those supplies back. I also need to inquire as to the whereabouts of the dwarf that you captured who was preceding the cart? The one that was traveling with a yellow-haired human? It is critically important that I get him back."
How much supplies are here in this cave from our cart? Specifically how much does it weigh altogether?

You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
Herman remains at his current position, changing Ready action from Dash to Move and Attack. He doesn't leave his spot. He will either attack if the bridge is broken. If the bridge is not broken, he will do something else.
Klarg frowns, thinking. You not know? Black Spider pay Klarg. Find dwarf and human. Told ambush, steal them. Send dwarf to Cragmaw Castle.... we do that yesterday..... Gave human to goblins to eat. Other stuff here... he says, turning to point at the mass of barrels, chests and crates in the area. Easily looking like it was mixed within everything else.... Making it harder to find Grol not want stuff, just dwarf. So we keep stuff. Throw in pile. It belong to Klarg now. But Klarg share with you. Not all, it still Klarg but you can take some....
Between everything in total here, it's probably about 1000 LB's worth of 'loot' but the supplied you all would have had on the cart, are probably 275 LB's. But finding them will require investigations.
"Yes I see. Now Klarg, do you have any idea how some black spider managed to gain the ability to speak Common, let alone acquire gold to pay you with?"
*Gets answer*
" I see. Klarg, to the best of your knowledge, where would you say the Black Spider is right now?"
*gets answer*
"Mhm, mhm. Okay then. Well Klarg, I would really appreciate it if you could give me some very detailed directions to Cragmaw Castle, perhaps you could draw it on a map?"
In the meantime, Cirrus will whistle and call, "Robin! Ronin! C'mere!" As his wolves come bounding into the chamber.
If Klarg recognizes that these are the wolves he keeps in the chamber near the mouth of the cave:
"Yes Klarg, these are your wolves, but if you'll pardon my language, your goblins were treating these creatures like garbage. I'm just letting them a snack and let them get some exercise while I'm here, after all, animals are my area of expertise. But you already knew that. After all, we have such a long history together."
If he doesn't, then that thing in the spoiler doesn't happen.
Cirrus then walks to the pile of stuff with his wolves as Klarg writes out the directions. Cirrus will take off his leather armor, have the wolves smell it, and have them help Cirrus by searching the pile for anything that smells the same. Investigation: 20 (w/ adv.: 15).
Cirrus raises his voice again for this next part, "Well Klarg, it's been great catching up, but my time visiting is coming to a close. Maybe before I say goodbye you could help me carry some of this stuff back to my cart? I understand that you can't give us all of it, but any help that you can provide your good buddy would be greatly appreciated."
You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
When Herman hears Cirrus raise his voice again he will do one of two things based on Klarg's response:
If Klarg agrees to carry the stuff to the cart:
Herman will leave his post and move out of the cave. He will still stay near the mouth of the cave so that he can jump to action when the "lift it in the air and kill it" phase of the plan starts or if the plan somehow manages to fail at the last possible second. Ready to shoot and/or move when the time is right (i.e Bugbear in the air or plan goes sideways)
If Klarg refuses to carry the stuff out:
Stay where he is and still be ready to shoot Klarg when bridge collapse. Readied action is same as last time post: Move and attack.
Gilari smirks at the bugbear and his current condition, the ease at which his magicks took hold was impressive. A thought occurred to him whilst the Genasi continued his conversation was his newly find compatriot. And he quietly leans in to say "You know better than I how long your spell will last, but getting him to carry our supplies to the cart... won't that push the spell to it's limits?" He shrugs a little "Unless that's your idea to lure him outside?"

Black Spider not spider. Black Spider human.... Klarg think...? Look human. Weak caster... Easy to smash.. but he provide help.. so Klarg not smash him yet. No need waste good thing right?
Iunno... Black spider come, Black spider go. Always just appear and vanish.
Klarg no know what map is. Cragmaw Castle that way... he says, pointing North-East, long long walk, in forest. Klarg only be there before he came here. THis klarg kingdom now. Klarg is warlord of these lands. None can stand before me! as if to emphasize his point, he smashed the ground with his massive morningstar again, splintering the rock farther. Then beating his chest. Klarg seems not to recognize the wolves. Likely because they weren't his, and he didn't frankly care about anything but himself, his two wolves who had, at this point, stood down, and began preening themselves again. And of course.. for now, Cirrus.
(OOC - Eh... thats now how canine scenting works, lol. All that would lead them to, is you. If you're tracking someone in leather armor, you cant just give them a piece of your leather armor, you'd have to have something that smelled like the person or thing you were tracking. I really want to give this one to ya, but .... yeah, sorry)
The wolves look at you confused, twisting their heads left, then right.
You copy Klarg. You have wolves. Wolves good help in fight. And good food if hungry. Klarg respect you, because you respect Klarg. Klarg looks at you curiously as you investigate the pile, and on some of the barrels, you notice a lions head emblazoned on a shield for a design, likely an insignia. And the same is on several other barrels. They look similar to the symbols on Sildars and Gundren's armor. There is also another one with a similar symbol but not quite the same. The chest is bright blue.
Eventually Cirrus asks Klarg to help move the stuff. And Klarg flexes You good friend.. but you puny. Klarg understand, you weak. But Klarg help good friend. Cirrus points out the items with the insignias and the light blue chest, as well as several other chests and crates, at random, though he has no idea what's within them. Cirrus himself taking a small chest out, that seems to be locked tightly. No insignia, logo, or any other identifying marks. But spillage from within indicates a soft, silken cloth inside.. if it can be opened.
Klarg, using only a single hand drags the cart out of his cave, down the stairs, and as he reaches near the bottom, sniffs... then looks around 7
Instantly noticing both Vimak and Gulari.. Raising his morningstar, ready to strike......

Cirrus was following behind Klarg as he inspected the chest he found, looking up from the chest to see Klarg raising his morningstar in the air. Panicking, Cirrus shouts, "KLARG DON'T HURT THEM! IT WOULD HURT MY FEELINGS!" he then hurries between Klarg and the pair of goliaths, "these are two of my three...associates I suppose you could call them. He then turns to Vimak and Gilari, "Watch and learn as this real strongman shows you how properly drag some barrels and things."
