Scar will finish his meal as he listens to the rest of the group exchange words. "Looks like tomorrow we go investigate this camp Bho discovered and some dark hole, wherever the money leads us on this adventure is where I go."
Pushing himself away form the table and getting up, "Time for sleep." As Scar walks pass the bartender he will toss him a GP to cover his tab and chuckle to himself and accompany Obsben to a room as he will not take up too much of the space Scar needs.
The next morning greets you with the smell of bacon and fried bread. The morning crowd gathers early at the Ol' Boar Inn. Mostly bachelor miners getting a hot meal before disappearing into the gaping maw of the silver mine. The murmur of low whispered conversation fades as Scar makes his way into the main dining hall. There is an air of reverence in the room.
"Mornin' to you," Garon calls out from behind the bar, "pay no mind to the lookey lous. Grab yerself a plate and tuck in. You never when the next hot meal comes. I could be a day or ten of salt beef and wayfarers bread, I dare not test ya temperament after a week of indigestion." He laughs to himself.
On the bar sits a bowl full of peculiar looking fruit. The size of a large marble but bright orange. "I just got those up from Chult by way of Waterdeep. Got me a friend in the shipping business. She brings me interesting things now and then. I believe they are called Kumquats. Try one, ya eat the whole thing. Tart little buggers."

Geth picks up a kumquat, eyes it for a moment, and bites into it. His face shows no reaction whatsoever, as he continues to eat the whole thing, just as Garon predicted.
Anton wakes up, does 20 minutes of exercises and stretches (Van Damme splits included), then meditates to calm his mind and get focused for a day that seems likely to include some action.
With a nod Bhuraelea greats Anton and Geth befor he grabs a Kumquat and some other fruits on his way out of the inn. After a moment you can hear a sharp knock from the back of the building. Again and again and again. Then a moment off silence and it starts again.
If you go outside to investigate, you will see a wooden log hanging on a rope at the back of the building with several arrows stuck in it. Bhuraelea is standing around 100 feet away practicing with his bow
Adalbricht well go straight for the food once he wakes up, taking some of the normal food and a piece of the fruit. While he does eat the fruit he seems to be much more fond of the bacon, eating it with gusto even as he is the epitome of proper etiquette the entire time.

(OOC: If you guys needs anything at the general store there is still a chance. I am just going to drive the story forward a bit. Obsben is going radio silent a few days, FYI.)
After a meal and some calisthenics your group is ready to depart for the ruins. With Boh retracing his steps northwest, you come across the abandoned wagon after an hours walk. The sun is still low in the morning sky and a silvery mist cloaks the the peaks of the mountains above. Beyond a copse of trees, a broken pillar is visible covered in Dwarvish runes.
Adalbricht you recognize the letters as Dwarvish, but the language is not known to you. Scar, however, recognizes the language as goblin. They are warnings against intruding on goblin territory. Following the line of pillars leads you to a large ravine. A new(ish) lengh of rope is securely tied to a pillar and extends down into the chasm.
Climbing down the rope requires an athletics check.

Boh- The wagon is a small single horse drawn cart. The wooden wheels are well made and attached by an iron lynch pin. There is little else in the cart except leaves and fallen branches. Underneath the cart, you find evidence that several small rodents have made burrows using the wagon as cover. There are some tracks leading away from the wagon to the campsite, but none returning besides yours from last night. At the camp site you count places where at least four people rested. The fire pit has been dug especially deep to block light from being readily seen and has been completely buried by dirt and rocks in an attempt to conceal it from scrutiny.
Geth- As you are prostrate in your magic circle, you expand your magical awareness past your normal senses. The only auras you can presently sense is the Driftglobe in Cassius' pack. It radiates evocation magic.
Bhoraelea drops his adventure gear and only keeps his armor and weapons. Then he secures his rope around his waist and through a piton, that he hammers into the ground. He passes the loose end to Scar:
I will go first, if I tug once on my rope something is wrong and you need to pull me up again. If I tug twice the area is clear and the rest can follow.
Whith this Bhuraelea starts to climb down the left over rope that is still secured to the pillar.
Boh- You easily slide down the rope. The crudely carved hand holds provide easy support to control your speed. The air grows a bit cool as you descend 50' to a ledge. You land soundlessly and tuck into a crouch. You count a few cycles of breath to let your eyes adjust to dim light. The far wall of the chasm is barely visible at the edges of your sight, as is the floor of the canyon below. Though you can tell the floor is closer as you can see stone stairs zig zag away into the void. Small rocks and animal bones litter the sandy ground you stand on. In the gravel you can make out several humanoid footprints and very large rat prints. Movement catches your eye in the dim light. Your darkvision reveals the forms of several Giant Rat. They have not noticed you yet...
"I do not think I would do well to climb that rope as I tend to spend more time practicing my magic then I do using my psychical and martial skills." Adalbricht says as he stretches and seems as if deciding if he wishes to attempt the climb.
