Ivy suddenly grows with an unnatural speed all around the Goblin, who is entangled by it. Looking around, he sees you and snarls as he draws an arrow and tries to hit you (hit 11 for 5 damage).
Kai gets a slight glimpse of Hazel a short distance away before turning to look into the forest to try to catch a glimpse of either Mal or the Goblin Leader.
Perception: 11
-If she can spot Mal, she will attempt to keep him in her vision and follow slightly behind him into the forest, making sure to be able to also see the edge of the forest.
-If she can spot the goblin leader, She will instead head towards them as close as possible (30 feet) to attempt to get in spell range of 60 feet. If she can get in range, she will attempt another sacred flame and throw the aqua green fire at him. If he is too far away, she will keep a sharp eye on him and use her action to dash after him.
Sacred Flame Dex save DC 13 - Damage:6
-If she can not see either, she will shout out to Mal. "Mal! Don't go too far or we can't follow after you. I think we killed all of the others." She will then look to Hazel. "We need to gather the others. We can't stay here if that one decides to bring reinforcements. Good job out there. You took out more than I could." Kai will attempt to locate all of the other members of the group.

The adrenaline courses through his veins as he tries to pinpoint the Goblin's location. He wants to continue giving chase but his training takes over. He forces his mind to calm down. He then realizes that he's getting deeper and deeper into the forest.
Probably leading me into another trap. Find one goblin, you find a warren of them and those are odds I'd rather pass on.
Mal makes his way back to where the two dead Goblins are.
Unable to further aid the others now that the fast waning conflict spread so far, Nobody sits back in his seat, head in his hands, but ears open to any outcries of trouble nearby. "Fare the well, Lord Biscuit. May we yet meet again another day."He whimsically utters tracing a symbol in the air. It is there he remains until the others returned, or more trouble finds its way to the wagon.

Moss, you walk easily up to the traped Goblin, towering above him twice his high. You can see the panic in his eyes as you bring down your quaterstaff on his head and he collapses lifeless on the ground. You look around for any more danger, but all you can see is Ostran a bit north of you.
Kai, Hazel and Mal, you regroup around the two fallen goblins. The danger seams to be over, but you stay vigilant always scanning the thick forest next to you for any sights of danger.

Kai will nudge one of the bodies with her axe slightly before looking between the two. "Anyone want to investigate these bodies? They might have something useful if they took down those horses." She will look between the two before moving over to one of the goblins, kneeling to search his body for anything of use.
Investigation: 9
She will carry anything she finds back to the cart as soon as Mal and Hazel are ready and wait for the rest of the group to loot and arrive back to the cart. Once at the cart, Kai will look to Nobody and hesitantly put a hand on his shoulder. "Sorry about Biscuit. But he did very well as a lookout. Thank you for watching the cart so that Betsy did not run off and strand us."
Kai will then lean against the cart slightly (and almost a little awkwardly) and clean any dirt and sweat off of her glasses with a small ball of water she lifts out of her canteen, drying them carefully with a small cloth that she keeps in her gold pouch. She will look to the others (after putting her glasses back on) once they decide the group should continue forward, waiting to assist if she is needed.

Once the vines and weeds subside, Moss will thank them for their aid and carry the body back to the others before investigating it herself. "He should be with his people," she says.

"Are we all unharmed?" she asks as she returns to the cart with a slow and steady stride.
Mal will also search the bodies of the dead Goblins for anything valuable as well as anything out of the ordinary.

He'll join Kai and whoever else has returned to the cart.
We shouldn't tarry here for long. The leader, the one with the longbow, got away. As best as I could tell, he fled into the forest Northwards.
We should head to Phandalin as soon as possible before he brings his relatives back here. Goblins are not the most forgiving creatures and I don't want to be here when they come back. By Tymora, we were lucky today. Let's not test the goddess now.
Let's clear the road of the dead horses so the cart can pass.
"I can aid with the horses," Moss says solemnly. She heads towards the horses to help move them from the road. Taking a moment to run her fingers through their manes and wish them well in their afterlife.
Kai and Mal, you don‘t find anything special on the bodies, the armor is poor quality patchwork and one of the shortbows is broken. You collect a scimitar, a shortsword, a dagger and a shortbow as well as 18 arrows. All low quality and poorly cared for but functional. You still may get a few coins for it.
Moss you move the body of the goblin you killed to the one Ostran killed earlier and search both bodies. You also find nothing beside the basic weapons: 2 bows with 18 arrows, 2 shortswords and 2 daggers.
Everyone comes together at the wagon to talk what to do next, while Moss moves up to the dead horses and starts moving the bodies of the road.
When Moss returns to the group after moving the horses, Mal begins to speak: I think we should make our way to Phandalin double time. Apparently this is why we were hired so let us get to town and get paid. The Goblin that escaped will most probably get reinforcements and I for one don't want to be anywhere near here when they arrive. We are not even sure there are not more of these ambush points further along.
As the initial danger seems to pass Leona first moves to retrieve her longsword from where she dropped it. As she sheathes it she moves to the wagon where she listens to the others reports of the situation. As Mal describes the leaders escape she frowns as a look of deep concern crosses her face. After he suggests they make all haste to Phandalin she speaks up herself, standing as she does and grimacing in pain from the recently healed wounds.
“While I can say with certainty that I do not relish another encounter with these foul beasts I find that my conscience does not sit well knowing their leader still lives to prey on others. We have a chance now to track the beast while it’s trail is fresh, do any of you posses the skill to hunt it?”
Ostran retrieves the single bolt he fired from the motionless dead corpse. *Sqeeenk* the bolt spat blood as Ostran yanked it from the unwilling skull. Without a word, Ostran simply walks over to the cart and retakes his seat. He needed gold, but he doubted monsters like these would have much - if anything, his goal was to get this cart delivered - and get paid. He looked out over the field as his teammates looted what they could and in a stern voice, more to himself than to the people immediately around him he said, "We should get moving, light is burning."
Kai will look between everyone before at Leona. "The leader was very injured. Enough to flee and call off the fight. He would be idiotic to come back anytime soon. However, he could send more reinforcements without attending himself. I do not think we currently have the power to take out a whole goblin army. Even if we take out that leader... Who says there aren't more anyway? We do not have the time to track him into the unknown."
Kai goes quiet after speaking her opinion, putting the extra loot in the back with the mining gear, keeping it separate to be able to determine what was theirs. She will then glance to the sky to try to determine what time of day it is while also doing another check for any returning goblins.
Perception: 6
Nature (if needed to tell the time): 11
She speaks absentmindedly as she looks. "Did anyone check the horses for anything to determine whose they were? What they had?"
The sunlight glints off of her freshly cleaned glasses and Kai is unable to see anything temporarily. She frowns and tilts her head down to stop the blinding glint.
Aside from a brief smile in appreciation to Kai, Nobody had largely stayed silently during the debate. For all intents and purposes, the tiefling appeared deep in thought on the matter; no doubt carefully measuring the pros and cons from a more analytical view. "...Horses? How many?"Nobody hops out bench at this point to have a better look at the corpses. "Two of them?... barely eaten, if at all... used as a trap..... Why not use logs? Laziness? Prior issues?"
"Hmm.... But he was fairly armored.. Would explain the increase number for an ambush, but... Curious--"Nobody clears his throat loudly, interrupting any immediate chat, and raise a hand in the air. "I.... Well, I am... can't really say >that< per se, but -- *ahem!* I could be wrong. But considering the evidence I believe it can safely considered that Sir Sildar and Gundrun ran into these goblins. Or at least, ones belonging to the same clan. They were but a day or so ahead of us." He looks back down the road towards Phandelin.
"Even if by some chance they did managed to slip the proverbial noose, there might've been others weigh-laid in a similar manner. Either which way, we need.. should follow the trail after a short rest to gather our strength. For if I'm right, it means doing a our due diligence. Or for the more mercenary minded of us, it is a chance to renegotiate a largely reward for the rescue."He said, looking to Ostran and Mel.
"And if I'm wrong, there are enough of us here that escape would be more than doable for such a capable group!" He smiles and claps his hands; but, after a pause he rolls his eyes. "Though of course I will surrender my cut as well to make up other losses. But honestly, Goblins tend to be... survivalist. I do not wish to be rude, so let us say that. So, now that their ambush failed, it isn't likely they'll return hoping we stuck around. It just too risky even injured some of us may be. Even with greater numbers."
"And considering how many fell when the odds /were/ in their favor, its all the more reason any of them need to wait at least until nightfall to reset this ambush point."
Hazel’s shoulders slump as the remaining goblins disappear beyond reasonable chase. The halfling walks back to the cart and sits on the ground surrounding himself with the rest of the party.
Leona’s proclamation and Nobody’s investigation intrigued Hazel, who wanted so desperately to keep practicing his... capabilities... and thinking goblins where the best test subjects.
“Well I for one agree with Leona, even if Nobody is wrong about Sir Sildar and Gundrun, It would still benefit the realm if we took care of this infestation now.” Hazel smiles up at Leona and gives a sly wink, then continues “but I am just a simple man, and can’t pursue this threat on my own, I will defer to the groups disunion.” With a sigh and a shrug, Hazel crosses his legs beneath himself
