I am a DM but I also like to play so I want to recruit both a couple players and a DM if all goes well we can recruit more players and more DMs. The way this will work is members will be invited to a discord group I will DM group 1 another DM will DM group two I will be a players in group 2 and DM 2 will be a player in group 1 up to 6 lucky fella’s will be split to play in either campaign. First 2-3 will go to group 1 the other 2-3 will go to group 2.
group 1’s campaign will be a faction/conquest campaign
group 2 will have their own choice as to what campaign is done but I encourage also doing a faction/conquest campaign (I can provide resources)
I would like to join 1 of your campaigns with my gnome wizard. As a child he was not that much of a people's person so he started reading books. His parents got him a job taking care of the books in the city library. For years he did what he liked (reading books and keeping them nice and proper) and not mind people to much. Then one day he finds this book about the basics of magic. He devoured it and a new love and interest is born. Shortly after his parents ( he's an only child) die under suspicious circumstances. He wants to find out the truth and learn about magic. To do so he has to get out into the world and talk to people.....
Interested here, lots of ideas already kicking around in my head :)
Do you have any specific character creation details we should abide by? Level, gear, stat generation, etc.?
I have no issue DM'ing, but I unfortunately have a bad track record of campaigns fizzling out. I just got a copy of Strongholds and Followers which is an amazing supplement for building bases of power for seasoned adventurers.

Characters:
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
I would also be interested in playing, in either group. Normally, I would offer to DM but I'm currently a DM on a different site. If time frees up else where, I could potentially pick up a game further down the line.
Looking to get away from the more barbaric life she was born into she leaves her tribe to learn more about other civilizations and ways of life hoping to one day return to her people and teach them a better way to live. Sumazura traveled to villages, towns and cities to learn different ways of life often working at temples to make ends meet in between.
I have a tiny bit of DM experience and it's in a different rule set but if quality and consistency are not requirements, I'm up for it.
Are you expecting the two games to run at the same pace?
If yes - what's the pace? will time zones be an issue? Also what's the tone?
(As I DM I find myself to be jocular and spiteful.
Will characters (other than DMs obviously) be able to cross over between games? Similarly will players be expected / allowed to have characters in more than one game? Is it a shared world, and if so (especially if it's your own handcrafted bespoke world) how do you feel about game 2 changing that world in ways you have no control over?
Do you have house rules you expect the other DM to adopt, and will DM rulings in one game affect the other?
Also are you talking about playing on discord or using discord for coordination and chat but playing on DnDB? If the former, is knowledge of Avrae required? If the latter, are you ok with a deadbeat sub-less content-less DM?
How do you feel about players who ask a lot of questions? Have I talked myself out of a seat? :)
If you're still recruiting, I'd like to throw my hat in the ring, willing to DM.
Rather than giving you one character, I'll post a couple of concepts and you can pick the one you prefer.
1. A young master tactician who recently graduated the military academy and is ready to put her skills to the test
2. A veteran naval captain bound to a man he despises through an oath of honour
3. An old monk who is weary of the conflict around him and wishes to sow peace and end hostilities
4. A noble girl who seeks the thrill of adventure by becoming a masked vigilante at night
5. A goblin cleric who believes in wholly unknown to anyone else. No one is sure if this isn't just his imaginary friend.
Please let me know if you would be interested in having me along, and which character sounds like the most fun to DM for.

Rendell, half elf warlock
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to

i'm intersted! I have a dwarf paladin that I think would go well in a faction campaign :)
If this is truly play-by-post, I'm interested. I've been interested in the idea of two simultaneous campaigns that affect each other for a while.
I'd be interested in playing:
I have a dragonborn fighter that would do well in either campaign.

A few ideas:
I'm newish, but enjoy role play. Not ready for DM portion yet though.
Though not currently a member, seeking admission to the really long and important signature club. Please consider this as a current CV.
