"We do not know anything about a mask. Perhaps that was the item he was searching for using OUR pool." the priestess says. They throw him on to the floor. "Take him. And be gone from this place."
Astrid turns to Red Bull with Wings (aka Edward), and comments “Hey big guy, don’t just stand there. Make yourself useful, show me that hunky six pack of yours, and carry that useless sack of potatoes outta here!” while pointing to Varram’s body.
"Very well. We will depart." Messalina will lead the team out of the caverns and once the team has gotten far enough for Varram to come back, she begins to get him ready for interrogation.

"Don't celebrate too quickly." Messalina says, as she pulls Bell out of the bag. "This one will destroy your genitals if you prove uncooperative. Now tell us where the white dragonmask is."

Varram laughs at the notion, coughs, and burps. "The divination pool told me what I needed to know, and the rest of my cultists who lived through this place found it, and returned it to the Well of Dragons. You are too late. Do with me what you will. Severin will kill me if I return. Losing a dragonmask, even though it has been returned, is punishable by death."
Ka'ralya shoots Bell a slightly appreciative look, then smiles coldly and says to Varram. "I wonder what you think we'll do if you don't tell us what we want. Tell us now, and you can go have a nice life in the countryside under a different name. Make us work for the information, and we'll take you along and hand you over to Severin ourselves. I'm sure he can come up with far more painful ideas than us for your death."
Varram scoffs. "Severin? You would all be slaughtered before you could even step foot near the Well of Dragons. Tiamat will rise again, whether I am alive or not. Ask your questions, and be done with me."
SESSION 1: THE FIRST SESSION / VARRAM THE WHITE / THE SEA OF MOVING ICE / THE CULT STRIKES
Nearly all of the faction delegates are ecstatic to know that you have brought Varram back alive. The Emerald Enclave would have preferred him dead, but this is just as good, they suppose.
MISSION COMPLETE:VARRAM THE WHITE: One of Remallia Haventree’s, the sun elf Lord of Waterdeep, first acts in her fight against the Cult of the Dragon was to encourage the Harpers to focus all their resources on the cult’s activities and its most powerful members. Those efforts have been successful, and Leosin Erlanthar reports to you all of the movements of Varram, the cult’s White Wyrmspeaker. Varram was last seen in the trade settlement of Boareskyr Bridge, near the Serpent Hills. Varram has been found and returned to Waterdeep.
MISSION: THE SEA OF MOVING ICE: The sounding of the Draakhorn weighs heavily on all the leaders of the Sword Coast. Seeking more information on the horn and its whereabouts leads the party on an expedition to the frozen North. Travel to the Sea of Moving Ice and investigate the matter.
With the first session attended, and Varram brought back to Waterdeep, it's time to set off on the second objective of the first session - the Sea of Moving Ice. But before, GO AHEAD AND LEVEL UP!
SESSION 1: THE FIRST SESSION / VARRAM THE WHITE / THE SEA OF MOVING ICE / THE CULT STRIKES
Dala Silmerhelve, a noble of Waterdeep and present at the Council, explains, "The Sea of Moving Ice was the last known location of the Draakhorn. No one can pinpoint its present location from the sound, or even verify with certainty that the relic is still in the northern sea, but the search must start there. The one person who could tell us more is a tiefling sorcerer called Maccath the Crimson. No one alive knows more about the Draakhorn than her, but the Arcane Brotherhood, of which she is also a member, hasn’t seen her for three years. She was investigating the Sea of Moving Ice when she disappeared.”
"Maccath!"Camilla blurts out, loudly, in surprise - and realizing what she did, turns red and stays quiet.
Dala continues, “Maccath reported her progress to the Hosttower by way of sending spells. Her last report spoke of seeing "Ice Hunters" paddling their sealskin boats toward a huge iceberg, flattened like a plateau across its surface, but ringed by icy peaks. She had intended to follow the Ice Hunters and investigate the iceberg. After that, no more reports came. Attempts to find Maccath using scrying and other magical means located only her ship, adrift and heavily damaged. Some of the ship’s crew were seen dead, but no sign of the tiefling sorcerer was ever found. If Maccath is alive, in addition to the lore she can share regarding the Draakhorn, the Arcane Brotherhood would be most grateful to get her back.”
THE JOURNEY NORTH
Far to the north, beyond the Spine of the World and above even Icewind Dale, lies the Sea of Moving Ice. Gigantic icebergs wander listlessly through this glasslike sea, or are sent smashing and grinding against each other by bitterly cold winds, the sea spray transformed into fantastic frozen shapes around them. Only creatures adapted to severe cold can survive such frigid extremes, but many beasts — and even people — make their homes in the Sea of Moving Ice.
Captain Lerusta of the "Frostskimmr" is your guide. With favorable winds, the Frostskimmr reached the Sea of Moving Ice in a few days. From that point, the ship slowed down and proceeded cautiously. Even bundled in furs and thick coats, the cold was nearly painful and sharp, and Camilla, especially, was heard clattering her teeth together and trying to keep her glasses from frosting over and breaking.
"We're going to have to be careful now." Captain Lerusta mentioned, "People known as the Ice Hunters are nomads that have lived among the icebergs far longer than any other humans. Short, dark-haired, broad-faced, and with light brown skin, they cling stolidly to their culture and their traditions of fishing and whaling on the Sea of Moving Ice, and of hunting for seal, walrus, and polar bears among the ice floes. They travel by dogsled on land and ice, and paddle seal-hide boats. Most dangerously, I've even heard them mention of an ancient white dragon that lives around here that they serve. They are his eyes and ears. Be cautious. The sooner we find the iceberg described by this..Maccath..the better."
Camilla, teeth chattering, said to Astrid and Messalina, "I haven't seen her in years. We went to the same school together, for a lack of a better word. She is a talented spell caster. Loved dragons. I had no idea she went to the Arcane Brotherhood, but now it makes sense."she smiled.
"Hells, I could set this boat on fire just to get warm."she laughed, kinda serious, flicking her fingers - creating wild sparks.
As they travel Fred is practically clinging to Edward. Being cold blooded these icy environment doesn’t agree with the poor Kobold. Edward doesn’t seem to mind as he cuddles with Fred and keeps the kobold close and warm. Staying his normal silent though.
"You say that, but then you'd have to swim there, and I'd say that the water is at least 20 degrees colder than the air. I bet the Bag of Holding is pretty warm. Maybe Bell has eaten enough chips for you to have some room in there."

Varram is beaten nearly to death. He is barely conscious. How do you proceed?
Messalina has him restrained, so that she can cast Healing Word on him so that he won't bleed out while he's being interrogated. 8

Li'riya is also quiet during the ship, huddling in her cloak against the cold. "I hope we find her," she says softly.
