The first guard stumbles back a bit, dazed by a club strike. The second guard holds his ground a bit better, though he's going to have a nasty bruise across his face.

The commoners standing near Ulfgar look at each other carefully with a slightly nerved attack (Note: 11 and 12 have disadvantage on attacks next round if they can see Ulfgar)
Holding your action is correct, Garrin.
Guard 1 attacks Commoner 4 with his spear. Attack: 19 Damage: 5 Guard 2 attacks Commoner 8 with his spear. Attack: 14 Damage: 7 Commoner 4 and 8 are down.
Falcor watches as the thugs and mob attack shocked at how quickly things escalated. Regaining his senses he holds his hand out as a rod of blue energy appears in his had that grows into a whip of crackling energy and with it lashes out at thug who stuck Bherab yelling out “Fine have it your way then!”
The Lightning Lure wips forward wrapping around the Thugs leg and with a pull he is dragged forward towards Falcor and is shocked by the wip
Commoners 1, 2, and 3 suddenly drop their clubs and slump to the ground. Their eyes slowly draw shut as the fall into a deep slumber.
The guard captain shakes his head at Garrin. "If we knock out the ringleaders, the rest'll all scatter. Quickly now!" He rushes forward and strikes out against Thug 2 with his longsword.
As the heroes and guards begin to smack down the assaulting mob, some of them begin to flee. The crowd begins to disperse as the drunken man who'd started it all screeches, "Get back here, you cowards!" right before falling flat on his face. The thugs turn and bolt as well, though the guards quickly flank them.
The captain smiles as his men begin to round up the unconscious rioters. "Thank you for your assistance. Saltmarsh is again a bit safer for now. The Traditionalists in town aren't happy to see dwarves as of late. Think seein' your friend there was what made 'em mad. We locked up one of the Fishing Families sons today. He was involved in a slaving ring. Shipped 'em here and had some Drow to pick 'em up to take to the Underdark. Nasty business. Unfortunately, the Families have nearly rioted as a resut."

Well..Ulfgar composes himself. I can understand maybe some confusion. But not all dwarves, no sir, not all dwarves behave in this manner. Have you interrogated this man for further information about this slaving ring?
Garrin watches as the crowd scatters. This was typical. The crowd had worked each other up, but at the first sign of strong resistance their resolve broke. The guards would have to watch carefully though for people plotting over their drinks for the next few days. This was just a symptom of a much deeper issue that needed to be resolved.
Garrin nodded at the words of appreciation from the guard. "I grew up in a town like this. I know things can get tight, but the sea always provides. Times must be very tough if people are turning to slavery."
Beside him Ulfgar seemed to be pulling himself together. Was he affronted by the view of the villagers?Garrin had traveled with him a few days now, and he seemed a good sort, even if he was a little too passionate about his god. The dwarf spoke saying very much what was on Garrin's mind.Have you interrogated this man for further information about this slaving ring?
OOC: Editied to fit in with the post that went up while I was typing :)
Falcor being exceedingly glad the fighting stopped almost as soon as it started takes a minute to breath and listening intently to the conversation. Upon mentioning of the slave ring he beings to seriously consider why he came to this town, after all that took place there's even more corruption ...very troubling.
Ulfgar looks around as he waits for an answer and notices that Bheran has not gotten back up Oh my. He rushes over to Bheran, drops to his knees and places his hands on Bherans head Great Moradin, breathe the spirit into this man that you once gave me. Heal him. A pulse over glowing energy emirates from his hands as Ulfgar Lay On Hands and gives him 3 hp.
"The Dwarves aren't the ones enslaving people. The Dwarves are here to open a mine in the area. The Fishing Families feel threatened by the dwarves because the silver they'll bring up will take power from them, and thus when your friend was sighted, that put them over. The Fishing Families consist of fishers, smugglers, and sometimes pirates," the captain replied, "We've rounded up his band and they won't be doing any slaving anytime soon. I'd better get these clowns rounded up. Thank you kindly for your assistance. I hope to see you again soon, preferably not in a cell, though."
