"No one I guess..." Elra pockets the coins and pulls her blanket back out of her bag. Balling it up, she uses it as a pillow again and uses her cloak to cover herself up again. "Goodnight," she yawns as she tries to go to sleep.
Tarjaalso settles down to rest, satisfied that the threat is gone for now. There's not much to be done now besides setting a watch and moving quickly onwards the next day.
After checking in on each of his comrades to see how they are faring after the fight, Zeke finds his way over to Tarja. 'I was glad to have you at my side as those monsters bore down on us. It was nice to know I wasn't going to die there alone. Your bravery is an inspiration to the others - I hope it gives them the strength they need to face the horrors to come.'
Once he concludes his conversation with Tarja, Zeke settles back into his watch for the night, setting himself up about 60 yards away from the bulk of the camp.
It's only once he settles in for his watch that he notices the arrow sticking out of his shoulder, reaching up to snap off the shaft and slowly working the barbed head out of his flesh.
Yes, it was good to be by your side. While I have spent some time as a wolf, I rarely spend much in a pack, and this is a strong one. Whatever horrors are to come, the land is strong, and it will endure.
Fae would be amused with Ethan’s scrapping habits. It was refreshing to see someone value material over coin. Elra’s modesty of her find was also refreshing. Sometimes people can squabble over the littlest of coin. Fae would just nod in their direction if they looked to her, encouraging them to enjoy their treasures. Arvel was a great host, keeping their extra company entertained. It was great for morale. She’d catch Tarja settle in for the night and watch Zeke step away to take his post.
Fae would smile to herself, before stepping her way into the cart. She’d make her way to her perch to settle in. Instead of going straight to bed, Fae would sit up, journal on her lap with a dimmed light pebble on the page. She’d begin catching up on her notes and illustrations from all the excitement. Eventually she’d close her journal to put it away for the night. Unsatisfied with her performance today, Fae would pull out her spellbook to begin studying and brushing up on her spells. As time would pass, Fae would slump further and further in her seat, reading until she fell asleep.
All is now peaceful on the grasslands despite the burning bodies back near the road as the night passes without further incident. Most are well rested when the sun rises over the crossroads the next morning. Finnan and Farnin are particularly busy on this new day as the wagons are ready to roll at the first rays of light, the halfings even having already prepared more bacon to share with their guardians. As the party stirs they encourage everyone "ok, ok, rise and shine, gotta move!" "Don't want to be out here for another night and we have a tough road ahead!" Finnan contributes with a very helpful comment about "yeah you best hurry up and wait for my brother's sorry oxen to plod along up the trail."
The Captain from Leilon approaches all of you and comments "we best make haste as well. Thank you for your good company." He looks out over the previous night's battlefields and to the slightly smoldering pile of worg bodies as he says it. "Best of luck up the road to Phandalin. If you're ever in Leilon, ask for Torrin Wester." He shakes hands with anyone who seems willing and turns back to his men as they ready their own wagons and horses before pausing. "Oh, and I may have a crazy old uncle up there in Phandalin still. Haven't seen 'em in years. Don't let 'em get under your skin, or lend him any coin for that matter."
OOC Anyone need to do anything before continuing on your adventure up the Triboar Trail?
Tarja would wake up refreshed and ready to go, to get to a town without spending another night guarding wagons against goblins. She would grab some bacon from the halflings, thank the soldiers and Torrin, and help with any final preparations.
Zeke makes his usual rounds checking in on everyone to make sure they are ready for whatever the road may throw at them today. As has become his custom, he makes one last wide sweep around the campsite to check for any tracks that might have appeared in the evening.
As the soldiers leave the camp, Maxie'svisage fades away and Arvel is present again.
"Not to be indelicate, Tarja, but is it possible for you to take the forms of animals other than a wolf? If so, would you have any objections to taking the form of an ox? Finnan, Farnin, would an extra ox aid our travel in any way?"
Tarja agrees to lookout in front, per Zekes suggestion.
She contemplates Arvel’s idea.
I can take other forms as well, true. I could not stay in animal form for more than an hour at a time, though - and besides, I don’t think our wagons could accommodate an extra animal pulling them! No, I think it is more useful for me to keep my eyes and ears open and keep the road clear for the beasts Finnan and Farnan already have.
She overhears Elra mentioning searching for herbs.
If you are in need of herbs, I could help you out. I’ve spent many days out here, and would be glad to look around the local plants for helpful ones.
Finnan and Farnin look at each other awkwardly, surprised at the question and idea of Tarja being a beast of burden. "Would she have a heartbeat? Then she'd be better than either of Farnin's lame mules back there." Farnin ignores his brother and says, unsure "I suppose we could rotate..."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Fae would wake up to a beam of sunlight shining directly in her face. She'd groan and squint before sitting up to rub the sleep out of her eyes. Noticing the book on her lap, she'd remember that she fell asleep studying. Fae would pull out her spell book, open it up side by side with the one she was studying. She'd begin pouring over her prepared spells. After a few minutes of furrowed brows and quiet contemplation, Fae would close her eyes to take a deep breath. She'd tilt her head back slightly and focus on her breathing.

After about 15 minutes of meditation Fae would open her eyes to the smell of bacon. She'd hastily jot down some quick notes before snapping her books shut and tucking them into her bag. She'd shimmy her way out of the cart, following her nose to the bacon, nodding her good mornings along the way.
Fae would grab extra helpings to go around the camp, offering some to those who may not have helped themselves to breakfast yet. "Make sure you're well fed!" She'd encourage.
"'Oo is stopping vous?"

"I didn't mean to assume..."
Ethan looks a little chastised, looking around in case anyone else, did want a share of the goblins leather, or the dagger.
(He is hoping no one wants it and he can keep the treasure all to himself :D)
