Drueze hears a call to drop, but he barely stands....like in a dream an instant seems to stretch for minutes and hours as he recalls his training and how many sparing matches he lost. He remembers the words of his mentor the first time he didn't get up from a fight when he could have.
Snapping to awareness Drueze tries to attack an unoiled centipede. Staff Attack: 22 Damage: 8 and knee Attack: 23 Damage: 6.
Afterward if he isn't in melee with anything he will slowly back up, staff on his shoulder muttering "I can do this all day"
Drueze crushes the last few centipedes with a few powerful attacks, leaving the way open to continue. The kobold's eyes are bulging, seeing how easily the adventurers dispatched them. "Shoulda warned you 'bout 'em," he squeaks, rubbing his chafed neck. He then scuttles off to a running start, and just scrabbles to the far side of the pit (still tied up).
Jharn leans over to Drueze and quietly says,“ I think he’s going to take us seriously from now on. Next time let’s not be so hasty to kill off the help. Especially since it turns out he was telling the truth.”
The pit is about 15-20 feet deep with sheer walls. There is no way around. Jumping/climbing it is on the easy side, but no guarantee. On that note, I'll need an Athletics check from Jharn.
Necria slips off the far edge and hits the bottom of the pit, taking 4 bludgeoning damage. The kobold shifts nervously, lashing his stumpy tail, but he's not running away, at least not yet.
Drueze is the only one to clear the pit; Jharn and Belleres suffer 3 and 1 damage respectively before they climb out. The corridor is eerily silent. Feel free to take a short rest and let me know when you're moving on!
Jharn climbs out of the pit after slip down the sides a bit. She is a little cut up, but not enough to stop her. She looks around at the others to make sure they are ok.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Necria climbs out of the pit and grabs the kobold’s leash as soon as she can. “Yes,” she says, “you should have told us about those centipedes, although with all the noise they were making, we should have known better ourselves, I suppose. Don’t go running off again, or I’ll stick a javelin in you.”
She then sits down to rest, regaining 4 hit points after an hour.
The kobold crouches, gnawing at some strips of meat pulled from somewhere in his tunic, and taps his tail impatiently. An hour passes. Ready to move on?
(OOC ballpark how many are left?)
The swarm was already halved before Jharn's attack...now only a very few remain.
Belleres is unable to recognize this particular type of centipede.

OOC: how deep is the pit? Can we get up again easily if we jump down? Is there any way around?
Belleres will check over Dreuze's wounds. "I can heal you, but it would be the last spell I can do today," they will say. "How are you holding up?"
Jharn leans over to Drueze and quietly says, “ I think he’s going to take us seriously from now on. Next time let’s not be so hasty to kill off the help. Especially since it turns out he was telling the truth.”
Jharn scrambles through the pit after the kobold.

Hoping to catch up with the kobold and stop it from alerting the dragon to our presence, Necria takes a running jump across the pit.

Belleres will sit down and meditate for the hour.
(I don't bother rolling hit die for 1 HP damage)

Belleres stands from their cross legged position, and indicates that they're ready to move on.
