Maxine, the spell takes some effect, but less than you would expect. You notice that the three cuts on your arm don’t seem to be closing up despite the spell, but you do feel more refreshed in general.
Professor, you’re still unsure where the party finds themselves currently, but you’re sure of heading in the right direction, North by Northwest.
After making good time over the rocky terrain and the rough ground for another three hours, you start to notice the sky above you turn to a bright orange filtering through the dense canopy above, indicating that the sun is starting to set. As if by some infernal command, you notice the humming in the air by thousands of insects, starting their daily activity and looking for prey. Within minutes, you’re all getting stung by the mosquitoes around you, and after fifteen minutes of further travel, and the continuous sound of people slapping away the insects, you come across a small clearing.
Do you want to push on into the night, or make camp?
I also need Con Saves from everyone. Berrus, you’re rolling at disadvantage.

Maxine was the first one to suggest to call it a day. "Can we stop?" Her voice was weak and expression a bit distracted. She stiffed yet another hysterical laughter and explained: "If we are to make fire, it's better to start before darkness fall." Before she had a chance to interrupt herself with another laugh, she added as quick (and blunt, as a result): "Also, I probably have warn everyone now - I made a mistake and there is a chance I will become that zombie described in Professor's book." "Shae knows", was the last thing Maxine could add, before nasty laugh finally caught up with her.
Professor S. starts with making a fire in the center of the camp/clearing to help drive the insects away. With his cantrips and clockwork device, starting a fire is quick and spreading it to the available fuel even quicker.
As he has time, the professor looks through the items on the disk. A compass--that will be useful tomorrow and could have been useful today!. He pulls of a block of the insect repellent and passes it around, belatedly as it turns out...He starts boiling the river water and transferring it to the "clean" water barrel as others prepare the evening meal.

Shae would help gather any sticks, twigs and leaves (for smoke) to fuel the professors fire. As she does, she will also gather any of the mushrooms in the area. She would mostly focus on gathering the stems for food, but she would harvest the water from the caps into the ‘to purify’ barrel. And as always, she’d do a sweep around the camp area to catalogue any new plant species, referring to the Professors Gazetteer here and there. Shae’s really hoping to find some replacements for the med kit.
It was a relief to see that no one even so much as bat an eye on Maxine's shocking (as she thought) revelation. Or everyone was simply dead tired and did not process the information. Maxine did not went too far from the camp, not sure what to expect of herself, but tried to stay close to Shae - the only one who truly understood what is going on with her and was sympathetic on top of it. Identifying plants around was also a good way to distract her mind from the potential horrors of the near future (and - who knows? - may be prevent it?).
Faekin now also really glad to take a break since he has to walk quite fast for his size to keep up with the others, helps gathering up some firewood and as soon as the Professor ignited the fire, Faekin looks for the cooking utensils, takes what he needs and starts his cooking process, quite unpatiantly hoping the others will find some more mushrooms.
Yet before he starts the actual cooking itself he ask into the round "Does anyone here have some liquor or even some wine? Could really use it to deglaze the pan and improve the taste significantly!
Having just done an inventory of the supplies, the Professor remarks to Faekin, “There should be a cask of Tej in our supplies somewhere. Maybe a bit of that will work for your purposes?”

Shae is looking for herbs and leaves, or other plants with medicinal uses. She is certain to have identified two mushrooms as Torchstalks, and she also finds a small bushel of Wildroot plants.
Wildroot
Introducing the juice of a wildroot into a poisoned creature’s bloodstream (for example, by rubbing it on an open wound) rids the creature of the poisoned condition. Once used in this way, a wildroot loses this property.
Torchstalk
A one- to two-foot-tall mushroom with a combustible cap, a single torchstalk burns for 24 hours once lit. There is a 1-in-6 chance that a torchstalk explodes when lit, bursting into a cloud of fiery spores. Creatures within 10 feet of an exploding torchstalk take 3 (1d6) fire damage.
Beyond that, she too finds a few fragrant leaves and flowers which she harvests, but which she can't identify completely.

Faekin prepares the mise en place before adding heat to the eqaution. He cut the mushrooms, cleaned the meat one last time, and prepared the herbs. He starts to brown the Meat in it's own fat, little later he adds the mushrooms and herbs. After they take a little colour he takes the bottle of Tej deglazes the sitzling Pan with about 2/3 of the bottle, then emptys the bottle himself with few big swiggs and adds "Yep, that stuff will work for the stew". After the alkohol evaprated he adds some of the preboiled clean water and lets the stew develop falvours and to the end adds some more fragile herbs to round it off.

Shae appreciated Maxine's company while they searched the local flora. Truthfully, Maxine was better at spotting the plants and pointing them out to her, so it allowed Shae to focus on looking them up, sketching and taking notes. Together they were able to gather a good variety to bring back to camp, excluding the mushrooms. Soon enough, she could smell what Faekin was cooking, and it caused her stomach to growl and gurgle. "I'm famished. I think it's time to munch!" and Shae would look to Maxine with a huge grin before practically skipping over to camp for her share of stew.
Shae would plop herself down on the ground near the professor. She'd be close enough to the fire, yet still enough of a distance away where she could safely sprawl out the unfamiliar plants gathered, with her notes and any texts available to her. She'd use rocks to pin anything down in case the wind would pick up. She'd just stare at the items in front of her, then look around the area, then back to her notes while she took the first couple bites of her stew. Her eyes would widen, pleasantly surprised by the stew. "Faekin! This is really good. Thank you!" Shae, you're eating monkey. "Mmm the sweet taste of victory." She would kind of sway back and forth as she ate. Shae would resume studying the plants she could not originally identify while she finished her meal, and would continue to do so the rest of the evening when able.
She would wave any one over to join her at her 'station', mostly to encourage no one to eat alone, but to also review what she did learn. Shae would point out the Wildroot they gathered, "This is Wildroot, it can cure poison. Definitely keep an eye out for this, it's worth keeping on hand in our med kits." She'd look to make eye contact with Maxine, thinking it may be worth a shot trying on her wounds to see if she feels any improvement. "Next, we have something on the other spectrum." Shae would gesture to a sketch of a tall mushroom with a large combustible cap they identified, "I think a couple of you might find these fun actually." Shae, like yourself?A mischievious grin would fade to a more serious expression, "These are Torchstalk. Much like its name, it can burn for hours once lit. But, it can also explode." She'd look around, "I recommend we have a 'code phrase' to warn everyone if you're about to light one. Fair 'nough?"
Seeing the others exhausted, Shae would offer to take first watch.
Shae would take an extra watch or two for the most exhausted if it doesn't impede on her receiving her long rest benefit.
"I have nothing to loose," at this point Maxine would try anything, and known antidote from a local flora sounded as an unexpected blessing in their miserable adventure. Not interrupting Shae's meal, Maxine just set near by - not too close but in a proximity for an action if things go wrong (books is one thing - reality is another), and rubbed the juice of the Wildroot into her wounds (reopening them, should it be necessary). The effect probably has to take some time, so, she would stay awake checking it up anyway.
Shae's was already on the watch when Maxine, deep in her self-monitoring, joined: "Can not sleep - every time I close my eyes I see myself transforming into a zombie. Too vivid imagination, you know. I'll sit with you, ok? Or you can rest if you wish and I'll take that shift myself".
Shae, they're eventually going to figure it out, if they haven't already. "It's not like I'm trying to hide it though?" Shae would have been 'talking to herself' when Maxine would approach. She'd look up at Maxine and kind of chuckle a little before dusting off the ground beside her and giving it a pat to encourage Maxine to sit. "I can understand that. Please. More company, the better. Helps pass the time." She'd smile. "Though I may be guilty of falling asleep on you eventually."
