"Home, I think," replies Minton. "To Sorenden. Now that I've been healed, I will be able to enjoy the travelling and the crowds of New Nineveh won't be such a trial... And it is not like I am much use here any longer."

"You will be greatly missed I'm sure. Have you seen Wamzut since the day he ran past. I hoped to see him again. Or is that see her?"

Minton frowns and says, "No. Have you? I fear that he was involved in the death of a Seeker of the Temple of Donai, which means they will be searching for him. Seeker Harlan was an odious man, but still... Killing is never right."

"Maybe it wasn't Wamzut. Lots of things are going on in the city at the moment and some people seem to be trying to exploit the situation for their own ends. I have no idea what is going on but I don't like it."

"I hope not," says Minton. "But it does not bode well that I haven't seen the woman since. Either he is in trouble or he is in hiding... Could you do me a favour, Guilliame. Keep an eye out for the alfaren woman. You must surely be out and about in the streets more than I, so you are more likely to run across her."

"I certainly will do. What should I do if I see her?"

Minton hesitates for a moment and then says, "Come and tell me. Or, if not me, the archmagus; I have told him everything I know about the situation."

"How can I contact you if I see her?"

"I will be here in the School," replies Master Minton. "This is my home. I might take a holiday and go back to Sorenden for a few months, but unless the School kicks me out, I will probably come back here to work in some capacity, even if I am no longer the gatekeeper."

"Well I hope you are enjoying your new found freedom. We should go for a drink sometime. In the meantime I'll keep an eye out. Goodbye for now."

"Goodbye, Guilliame," says Minton as he lets the dog drag him back to their walk.

Continuing on his way, Guilliame leaves the School and is soon at home. 

"Hello, Guilliame," says Granny Naomi, who is sitting on a chair in the shop smoking a pipe of jartinal weed mixed with tobacco. "How was your morning?"

"Successful. I'll show you after I rest up. Do you want to go for a drink at the scholar's retreat tonight. I am meeting Velma."

"You really want me along?" asks Granny Naomi, brandishing her pipe and grinning impishly. "Surely you young folk don't want an old woman like me around while you're courting. No, no, I'll be right here. I'll smoke a few more of these and be out like a light until dawn."

"OK. Are you saving some for sale? Have the new racks arrived yet?" 

"Oh, yes, they came this morning while you were at the School," replies Granny with another grin. "But you said they were supposed to come yesterday."

Then she chuckles and says, "So, I told them off, I did. Told them service is nowhere as good as it used to be. And there was nothing they could do about it, me being an old woman and all."

She laughs again and then adds, "I'd get you to set them up upstairs, but there's no use in that at the moment, because it's going to rain in the next day or so. I can feel it in my bones."

"Fair enough. Do you want me to go to the markets and buy some jartinal weed this afternoon? Or we could wait for Sam and both go sometime. Especially if we won't be able to dry it for a few days."

Granny Naomi just smiles and says, "Don't worry about it. After the rain will be soon enough. Maybe you spend the afternoon with your books. Or perhaps go arrange for that sign we talked about."

She then gets to her feet and asks, "Are you ready for some lunch? I put a pot of broth on earlier and we still got some bread."

OOC I tried to embed an image but i can't see how to do it from a file on the computer rather than the internet. Any ideas?
