Damaia will also join Kodiak in first watch. Not because she wants to but because she can't find a comfortable resting position between the bad weather and the painful orb.
Damaia looks up in the direction where the noise came from. She decides to be ready for attacks in case a bear of something attacks them after passing through the other camp. Her hand glows with a pale orange aura
Perception to spot any movement headed the party's way: 15
Ready Action: Eldritch Blast. Attack first hostile target that appears: 8 Dmg: 6
As the silence looms, there is a crash, Damaia fires a blast that glances harmlessly of a stone as a silver scaled Dragonborn crumbles into the circle, covered in boils and blackened vine like growths. (I am turning in.)
Jasmal slowly creaks to her feet. "A visitor! I get so few visitors, come dear boy let me put the kettle on."
And then realises her cave is gone "Which one of you bastard whippersnappers stole my cave! A plague of boils on you!" she cries, shaking her staff threateningly ...and then notices the boils on the dragonborn."IT WAS YOU!"
Tri allows the shouts to enter the front of his thoughts, releasing his meditative trance, coming to his feet in one fluid motion. He spots the Dragonborn, noting the diseased appearance it brings to the campfire. With a few steps he moves to stand in front of the elderly lady, but not so much as to block her line of sight, and holds up his arms in a calming gesture.
"Slow down, sir. What ails you? Can we help?" As he speaks he looks the Dragonborn over a bit closer, and almost immediately comes to the conclusion that speaking to it would likely be a futile effort.
Despite being on watch Kodiak is one of the last to react, startled by the dragonborn's diseased look and unsure of what to do. He stands up and advances past the dragonborn to look for a sign of anyone else out in the darkness using his darkvision.
Perception: 8

The Dragonborn is wheezing on the ground, struggling to move, it's then you notice the vines are slithering into its skin, they are trying desperately to move toward the stone.
Jasmal, who's never really had the knack of talking to plants, scolds it instead in druidic "Now you stop that this instant!" gathering up any bits Damaia cuts off using appropriate tools from her herbalism kit for cultivation later.
"Hold on,"Tri says as Dimble moves to remove the stone. "Kodiak, did you say this stone can cure ailments? Perhaps we should bring the diseased man closer, then?"He moves away from Jasmal and goes to stand closer to the Dragonborn, though making sure not to touch it's skin in any way, but trying to discern if the poor creature is conscious as all this happens.
DM & Sidewinder:
DM: Does the Dragonborn react at all? Does he speak, do his eyes move?
Sidewinder: Hope you don't mind me 'taking control' of Kodiak for a second there, seems like the information only you have is important here, not sure if you missed that. If not, apologies and I'll avoid it in the future :)
Kodiak turns back to the group at the mention of his name. "Yes, they cure some ailments. Most of the mind or soul though. I'm not sure vines counts as one of those."
(OOC: No problem Mat. It was a good place to bring him back in from the watch and get the information he has.)

Damaia steps back as she doesn't want to be caught in any possible """healing""" explosions that might come out of the sphere. Her hand still glows in a smoky orange aura. (Still holding on to the Eldritch Blast)

Kodiak will take the first watch. He has been riding in the cart all day and isn't that tired.

You both hear what Jasmal heard in my last post. (Using passive perception and rolling in secret.)

A crash loud enough to wake us up?
If so, upon seeing the dragonborn, the first thing Dimble does is check if the orb is still there and goes to stand near it
After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)
OOC: This gives me an idea.
Damaia shouts "WHAT THE SHIT IS THIS!?" loud enough to wake everybody up and readies another Eldritch blast aimed at the dragonborn.
Readied Action. This will fire if the Dragonborn tries to attack anyone: 25 Dmg: 3
Dimble will stand near the orb and will be watching the dragonborn to see if it has any effect on it

Does anyone know anything about if the stones vanish after some time? Or if they lose power when moved?
After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)
No, Kodiak knew the most and what he knows is posted.
Dimble Arcana 18
Dimble can surmise though, that the stone seems to be the source of power so removing it will only break the connection to the circle.
In that case, Dimble will be ready to grab the stone and move away if it looks like the vines would reach it
