At this point, the Gnome is apoplectic. "How... dare... you... pull... a... dagger... on... my... FRIEND", he hisses through gritted teeth.
See previous post for rolls attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm on the hapless human-spawn. Clearly his outrage has affected Zanryn's aim, but the Halo of Spores is at least down to you to defend rather than my rolling!
Your necrotic damage hits home sending him falling to his knees dropping the knife. He moves to stand up again but is disorintated and falls against the wall trying to draw his sword.
Percentile 51-100 he passes out and you guys and move him to someplace more quiet if you like. 0-50 hes gonna need a love tap to not kill him.

He gets his hand on the blade and he passes out from the infliction of damage you have caused.
"Lets get this sorry sack of flesh out of plain sight", Zanryn pants, snatching up the fallen weapons. He's not entirely sure by what eldritch means he caused the evildoer such pain, but he knows he did and he's not sorry about it.
Zydalia grabs the man under his armpits, motioning to Bethozus to take him by his feet. She looks around for somewhere they can take him, or a quiet route back to the inn.
Any way they can get the guard to Zydalia's room at the inn? Or is there a suitably vacant building nearby?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
> Perception: 7 > Edit: I'm speechless.
Please stop rolling :p
Deciding that Zydalia is still in a rage-haze, Zanryn also looks around for somewhere they can take the senseless guard, or else a quiet route back to the inn.
perception: 7 (do not fail me now, o fickle dice gods)
(Edit: Please can Durmatl & Bethozus roll instead from now on? We're clearly cursed)
I am thoroughly confused. What is this Guard doing here all of a sudden? Did I miss him getting introduced in the text, or is it meant to reflect the boy's stats? I'm assuming the latter, but please let me know if there is a guard involved in all this and I missed it somehow.
Durmatl is just following the boy, his good mood only slightly burdened by the fact that he made his way back into town, when he catches Zydalia and Zanryn jump the child and bully him into submission. Shocked, surprised and caught off-guard, he quickly hurries up to them and hisses in their ears, "What are you doing?"
Seeing them struggle to drag the unconscious body further into the alley, Durmatl shoves both of them aside and starts dragging the body away by himself."Am I unaware of something? He is just a thief stealing food, why are you attacking him? You'll get the guards involved!"
Mechanics:
Strength score of 17, not sure if I need a roll to drag a boy somewhere. If so; Athletics to drag the body deeper into the alley: 24
Realising that Durmatl knows more about what is going on than they, and that they may have been a bit hasty in their anger, Zanryn reverts to what he excels at.
"Young lad, are you all right? Looks like you just had a terrible shock, like you just saw death himself eh? Good thing we were around when you took ill like that."
Deception: 21 (I await the result with baited breath!)
Zydalia joins in on the charade, acting her most motherly, stroking the boy's hair back and pressing the back of her hand to his forehead. Embarrassed by Durmatl's reaction, she elects to stay silent and avoid making things worse.
Realizing a Lizard looking down on you after having been knocked out would not make for a pleasant surprise, Durmatl moves off a few paces to let the others handle the boy, but he motions to Zydalia to come join him.
"I followed him out of town," he says quietly to prevent the boy from overhearing,"He didn't kidnap the girl, nor did those he met out there. They said they are just pinching food, and the kid was sent back to pick up on a new lead. I was trying to figure out what that meant, when you all jumped him. I don't know, try and get him to talk? He seemed harmless to me."
"We were planning on getting him to talk," Zydalia explains. "He pulled a dagger on me." Rubbing at her neck, she elects to leave out the information that it was her who had yanked him into the alley in the first place. "But, yes, I agree. We should speak to him."
She turns from Durmatl and goes back to the boy, crouching beside him.
"Hello dear," she says. "How are you feeling? No wonder you fainted. It must be a hard day for you, what with your friend missing."

With that role no you are still angry and cant see a way. luckily there is no one coming. just yet to investigate.
To roll that badly, my anger bar must be matching Mel Gibson's in Payback.

His stat you were not confused.)
You are able to get to the back of the alley with your roll. The boy is out but is coming to as you reach the end of the alley.
