Larry will investigate in particular the creation of the world diorama, but will be careful not to touch anything. "Errr...maybe we shouldn't touch these...how can they still be here after all this time has passed"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
If you allow players to attack from the same space as an ally so long as they don't end their turn there:
Opal flies along the north wall, drawing two shortswords as he goes. He slips around Shieldbiter and swings both swords at Figure2, then steps back five feet behind the dragonborn.
If you don't allow players to attack from the same space as an ally so long as they don't end their turn there, Opal moves along the south wall, stops five feet to the right of Larry, and takes the dodge action.
NOTE: It's a bit unclear from the map what is left or right of him as the cells are combined....but he will move towards the corner of the cave-in if he can. (lots of ones rolled today haha.)
Shieldbiter bears down on Figure 2. Griping his shield and sword, he steps into the attack. Bashing the Figure with his shield to throw it off balance, Shieldbiter goes in for 2 attacks.
(OOC: I allow attacking from another allies space with disadvantage. Using both of your rolls as the disadvantage rolls you still hit.)
Opal moves with nearly supernatural reflexes, nearly reacting to the threat before the rest of you were even aware of it. With agility to spare, she slips along the northern wall and moves in close with Shieldbiter, driving her blade into the figure closest to him. Her blade easily slides into the figure of the commoner now life-sized. There is no blood as her weapon cleaves into the figure, but still the figure crumples to the floor. Instantly it shrinks back down to figure-size, but now is crumpled and broken.
Ethan steps away from the dome display and casts Booming blade on his long sword as he moves in to attack the second figure.
Attack: 13 If it hits: 15
Ethan's long sword easily slides past the commoner's guard and cleaves into its body. Again there is no blood to speak of, but, upon impact, a thunderous boom rocks the commoner. It falls to the ground as Ethan's blade withdraws, instantly reverting to figure-size, but now is shattered on the ground.
We are out of combat. I figured this would go quickly... Let me know what everyone is doing now...
"Well that was rather impressive. Anyone have any clue what the heck just happened? And obviously no more touching of the minis unless you want another battle."

Anyone who wants to try to figure it out give me an arcana check...
Ethan's Arcana: 26
Wellt hat does it I guess...
Ethan glances from the figures to the floor then shrugs. "Clearly if the figures hit the floor they are transmuted into the full-sized version and then animated." He glances to the one still in Cas's hand. "Removing them from the display does not seem to affect them the same, so it must be only those who actually reach the floor."

Which display are you at?
Ethan studies the central display while the others are looking around.

Never mind, rolling the display you are checking out through random selection...

You are checking out the...
Niche. In a river scene, a dozen commoners gather rushes, fish with nets, and carve a dugout.
Number knocked: 1
As Cos is picking up one of the commoners, he knocks two others of them over, and they fall out of the display and hit the floor.
As soon as the figures hit the floor they instantly grow in size, until they are human-sized and, yelling a battle cry, attack.
Everyone roll initiative...

So far this session I have hit my teammates twice, flat-out missed 3 times, and only hit the enemy twice. Trust me, you don't want to borrow my dice.
Ok, we have initiative... Here is the map, I have placed people according to their posts here, let me know if their is any real issue with it.

Some of you were having trouble with the map before. Can you see if this version is better?

"So we should gather all the figurines and loose them on unsuspecting enemies." She says with a wry grin.
"I doubt if they work outside of this room." Ethan says with a shake of his head.
