The complex looks to be well preserved mainly due to its situation rather than design; it steady cool, not too damp and steady gentle airflow.
Due to the lack of doors, its high ceilings and its ridged yet graceful stonework design, you get the impression that this was once a church or temple. To who simply cannot be discerned due to the lack of remains. Nearly everything of worth is simply missing; there’s an odd broken vase or a stone bench. Strangely, etched depictions on the walls seem to be have eroded away by wind or wave
The bodies are of able-bodied civilians; soldiers, guards, hunters or something similar. One is half-orc, the rest are human; none of which you recognise. Apart from the one dead, the rest are stirring very slowly.
However your inspection is interrupted by the rushing in of three bandits. Upon seeing the half-orc and dragonborn up and able, they draw their weapons with a roar of frustration.

Bart
(Surprise Round) Bart will duck behind the door as they come through, quietly drawing his shortsword. As the last one enters, he tries to stab him in the back and shuts the door.

(Surprise round) Taking advantage of the bandits' cluelessness Khazan unsheats his Greataxe and lets out a loud warcry, trying to intimidate the three.
As the bandits come rushing in, Aazel chuckles a little to himself and gives his longsword a quick swing to loosen up his muscles. "What? Only three of you?"
If one of the bandits rushes at Aazel, he will stand his ground and fight that one. If none are within melee range he will move toward the closest bandit and engage him with his longsword.
Caught unawares, the bandit with a bandanna (3) takes a slash to the side, bloodied. The bandits already on edge flinch at the cry at the dwarf and are frightened.

Bart blinks slowly as he wasn’t entirely alert as someone started talking. He sees the trouble and gets the gist of what’s happening.
Without a word he holds his finger to his lips goes to the door to crack it open and peer out.
