Choir scoots upstairs, happy that orders are being given clearly. Fairly clearly.

Polly was still pondering the lyrics of the song when Fran comes by.
First the captain Zodge mentioning the hell riders and now the elven spirit. It can’t be a coincident.. but what does it have to do with her? Or her ‘team’? We should maybe go speak with one of those ‘Hellriders and see what they have to say about this...
She’d have to talk it over with the others after finishing this business. “Okidoki!” She reply to Fran and runs after Choir.
At first, Tarina's face expression was more than skeptical, but she managed to restrain herself from any comments - she knew better than to judge fate's gifts. Instead she fills in the newcomers about the situation.
"There are people coming here today to kill me. You need my information - I need to stay alive. You help me with that - you get what you came here for and I will owe you."She glanced at Adray. "Your guy over there said you can do it. Now, those who are coming - they are pirates. The crew of Uncivil Serpent in the best of time was a scum, nowadays they are animals, all of them. (Ordrag can confirm the reputation of the ship and it's crew) There will be at least five, but Dead Eye does not like risk, can be more. Still would not expect more than eight. And all fight as dirty as they sound."
Ordrag nods his head at Tarina's warning, but his reply is in the same casual laid-back tone help always uses.
"Ah yeah, me heard of them fellas, eh! Nasty lot. Maybe we should set up an ambush or something, surprise em. They be expecting you to ask for help, lady?"

"Do not know, to be honest. If they managed to track me here as they did, they likely know I did not find the help. Might as well try to kill me fast, to make sure I would not."
Fran would nod, agreeing with the ambush. She’d remain silent for a moment before thinking out loud, “Tarina. Which couple of us would look like some ‘regular suckers’ you’d play a game with? Others can hide or blend as a guard?” Of course she was assuming they may need to take off their Flaming Fist tabards to blend in better. She’d look to Adray, honestly wondering if she’s completely off the mark of her suggestion.
It sounds like bad people would be coming. Choir looks at the stairs. The bad people will need to come up through there. (OOC: Is there a balcony, railing or overlook on the tavern below? Or just stairs coming up? Are there windows? Anything like a heavy chandelier overhead?)
She starts pulling chairs and any other useful-looking heavy objects toward the top of the stairs, tying them together with her rope to build a barricade.

"Right... 5 to 8 you say..." he repeats while drumming his fingers on the table while thinking. "If it was me... and Id already know where you were at, Id send a front runner to keep tabs on, keep you in sight but then hang back to report when the main force arrived. Likewise, after the main group did show, I'd send several to cover all exits. Only then would I push the attack."
"That is, if they are smart. If we are smart, we control the where it takes place. Seems like you picked the a public place in Hope's that they wouldn't attack. Sounds like they still are. We can hope that they wont risk burning this place down. Seems popular enough that that might cause more trouble than just your death. So... let's control the field. I'd say we set it up so their numbers mean squat. Funnel them up step, line them up to be shot down with a hail or arrows or blade, hell, bust up some bottles and drop them on them. I'm open go creative suggestions. Plus, Captain gave us approval to...not be nice."
OOC: Before moving any furniture - keep in mind the tavern does not belong to Tarina and there are people living in it and visiting it. Maps are under the cut: left - First floor, right - Second floor. You should be in E8 right now:
"Honey, no offence, but to play you need coins and none of you look like you get any. But I like your idea to mix with visitors."
“I might have an idea of how to deal with this in a peaceful manner.” She looks at all of them and gets a little nervous. “I know a spell which can put them to sleep, so if we can lure them in to a 20ft area i can cast it on all of them maybe?”
Turning to Polly, "That's actually wonderful if you can put them all to sleep but we should have a back up incase you can't. Such a knocking out those that dont sucome to the sleep."
“Yeah that would be wise. But how do we get them all together? Do we use bate” she looks over at Tarina. “Or do we try to corner them when they get up through the stairs?”
"Do ye people only gamble for coin? Can't we look like people gambling fer favours? Our life? Tryna think of a way to keep at least one of us close to ye." Fran would look to Tarina. She was gambling her life on us right now. "I can offer distracting tactics. Light, visuals, recorded messages, sounds, heck, even smell." Fran would shrug.
"Mage, eh? Had one in old crew. Did not long last." Tarina thought for a bit. "Dead Eye would not care if we play for real, that's true. He sees me - he attacks. Aye, it's that bad. We can play, or just sit here - no matter. Alan and anyone here knows better than jump into someone elses fight to the death, they'll stay out or hide. That bottle neck idea with the stairs might work but they are pirates - used to close quarters and stairs. Still, meeting them on this floor can be better, I agree."
Ordrag has his feet up on the table as he listens to the suggestions.
Yeah, me reckon the stairs is a good place to bottle 'em up. Can't get more than a couple of 'em at once, and we can have about 6 of us around the balcony. Have 'em surrounded and we get high ground. If we're lucky, once the first couple drop the rest will scarper. Me and Adray can handle the top of the stairs. The rest of ya can be around the balcony shootin arrows or chuckin spells if ya can't reach em wiv swords and stuff.

He nods, "That sounds about as good a plan as any. And if Polly can put some to sleep then great. Might be a good idea knock on the doors of this floor and let them know to keep themselves behind lock doors until further notice."
Well, this sounds like something Choir can help with. She gives up on the tangle of rope and chairs and runs around knocking on doors. Whenever someone answers, she makes sure to inform them-- "There are people coming here today to kill -- they are pirates. The crew of Uncivil Serpent," in Tarina's voice, and in Adray's, "Keep...behind lock doors until further notice."

Polly, you have magic to back us up, put them to sleep, freeze their bones but for the love of gods dont use fire. I bet the floors here have soaked up decades of alcohol and I bet the pirate scum wont care if she dies of blade or burn. " finally he turns to Fran, and says. "Fran, you've not said much about what you can do but I see you got a crossbow and if you made it past initiation I know you know how to use it. Put some bolts into them. I'd also like you ready to intercept in case someone comes through a window or such."
He looks at them all again and gives a brief smile before saying, "Nothing brings together a crew like a life or death battle." Then his face goes back to his normal stern looking glower. "Now, let focus and get this done..." he then stands and positions himself at the top of the steps.
