Rixtonwheels around again and fires at the same target, trying to keep his shot in the snake's blind(er) side.
Short bow Attack w/ sneak attack damage: 11 Damage: 13
Once again, his arrow sails past the snake skittering off the ground instead. He curses under his breath and then he then withdraws to the other side of the street, against the wall of the building next door to the tavern.
As the snake bites down on her shield arm, she grunts in pain and grabs its neck with her other hand and pulls it close so they are eye to eye. Her eyes sparkle with blue-white energy and she grits her teeth.
"Boom."
The charging energy bursts into the snake's neck in a cascade of lightning and she flings the serpent off, smoke trailing with tendrils of electricity.
(DEX 13 save: 16 lightning damage on a failure, half that on a save)
The snake as it bites down begins to sizzle but this time with electricity its vibrates and convulses sticking straight out before it extinguishes and falls smoking to the ground at Kallak's feet.
The human puts his back to the wall, perspiration gathers on his forehead. He fumbles with his hand crossbow and loads a new bolt. After a moment to catch his breath he pops back around the corner of the building to fire at the nearest snake.
Deception19 (trying to look like some bloke with a crossbow he shouldn't have)
Stealth26 (hiding round the corner for sneak attack and damage)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing Kallak run up, Song will move out of cover and cursing continuously, aims to position herself where she can get just the remaining snakes in a 15ft cone, trusting Kallak’s shield arm to keep them from her.
She casts Dragon’s Breath on herself, channeling into her bronze dragon heritage to spit an arc of crackling blue lightning that catches everything in range.
DC13 dex save - half damage on a save: 8
Song is going to use 1 sorcery point to reroll two damage dice - 7 + 4 from the original roll
Kallak, trying to shake her arm and stop the bleeding from the snakebite, looks around for crown's guards, and what else is around her. (Perception: 7)
She starts to give a salute, but then stops herself and awkwardly turns it into a head nod, at the giant-er goliath next to her, and the others who rushed out to meet the threat.
"Kallak,"she says, closing her eyes and putting hand to heart.
Has she seen anything like these fire snakes before, or heard of them?
“Where in the ever-living hells did those come from? Can anyone see?” Song shouts, electricity still crackling around her face - she’s not willing to let the spell drop until she’s certain the threat is over, scouring the surroundings for clues that might suggest a cause (Investigation 16)
Kallak looks around to notice anything out of the ordinary. There doesn't seem to be anything down the street from where the Fire Snakes came from.
Kallak probably knows about elementals -- especially being from the north and favoring storm magic you probably have a working knowledge of elementals existing. You've probably never seen one up close. You may have seen an air elemental from afar at some point. You're aware that on the scale of elementals these Fire Snakes are fairly low on the totem pole.
Song starts to investigate the scene and notices now that as she looks at the snakes they all turn to dust and blow away.
Song looks down the street to the west and east she see's the Crown's Guard fighting their own elementals. They look just to be wrapping up too, but the elementals they are fighting are not snakes, but some other creature of fire.

Olivepushes herself off the wall and hands the tankard back to its owner. "The king here summoned them. No idea why, maybe it's practice maneuvers for the Guard."
She goes and knocks on the door of the Inn, "You can stop barricading it now, it's over. I'm hungry."
Kravek looks around and sees all the snakes are dead and turning to dust. He then reverts to his normal size again seeing Kallak extend her hand and he puts away his hammer and shakes her hand. Not really bothered by the awkward movements, he assumes it is a drawback from the thunder abilities.
I am Kravek, you fought well today. After putting his shield on his back again he pulls out his waterskin saying This might sting a bit and poors some of its content over Kallaks bleeding arm not waiting for approval, the waterskin contains some alcoholic drink from the north (which she might recognize if shes from the north).
The drink is called the Mountain’s Bounty A fine liquor made using water from a glacial stream. Always refreshing, and always makes you feel cold no mater the weather
This will clean the wound and help against the burn.
The drink will be unnaturally cold considering Kraveks been carrying it without any means of cooling it.
Kallak heads down the road where the crown's guard are fighting the other elementals and looking for a way to fire off a spell to help take them down, or a healing spell for the guards.
Rixtonstows his bow, retrieving one of his arrows, the other one broken. He overhears Oliveand his curiosity is instantly piqued.
"The king summoned them? Why do you say that?" he says, approaching the group now. They are all obviously strangers to each other, what with the introductions they are making.
Keeping an eye on the guards - even a fight that’s mostly won can turn bad in an instant - Song will add “Yeah, that’s an interesting thing to say - how come you know that? And which King - Fireheart? Why’d he summon elementals to attack his own city?”
Palisade lowers his hand and looks to the imp that is next to him, waiting for it to return to the form of a crow as it lands on his shoulder once more. He will calmly return to the table to go back to his maps muttering to himself as he pulls out a smoking pipe. The object looks to be of dwarven make with several rin s carved into it. If one were to look they would see the name Cormac Brokenforge on it. To those from the Homeland of the dwarves he was known as a famous Smith and artificers about 50 or so years ago.
The crow shakes it head and squawks a bit before turning into its imp form as it sits on his shoulder with an annoyed look. "Are you going to talk to them so we can recruit them for this new venture of yours. I am tired of this damn place and want to find some magic to grow my... I mean our power...."

This is out of the ordinary. You’ve never heard of this happening before. He is a good king who cares greatly about his kingdom. And because he needs the people to flourish for his kingdom to flourish he largely goes out of his way to make the population happy.
