For Those Going Looking For Travel ((guessing Clavorus, Gaerich, and Cyrus))
After eating a breakfast made up of eggs done on order, cooked beans, fish sausage, a loaf of toasted bread, and some roasted potatoes or a lighter breakfast of just fish-fin soup, plus a couple of rounds of cider you decide to venture forth into Murran and look for a ship to take you on your trip. From the previous night, plus a quick chat Salty, you have some prospects. You know you can try your luck with Vereenigde Oost-Faerun Companie and ask for Martel. Their base of operations is not far and Gaerich has been by their building before, only realizing the location because of the address on the coin. You also know, because of Cyrus's knowledge of being an experienced sailor, that you could go to the Dock Master and ask whoever is in charge if they have heard of any captains looking for a crew or an owner looking to sponsor a ship for the chance of some riches. Then there is the local bazaar when Gimble and Maggie plan to go, where you can purchase basic items you might find yourself in need of.
For Those Going Straight To The Bazaar ((guessing Gimble and Maggie))
After eating a breakfast made up of eggs done on order, cooked beans, fish sausage, a loaf of toasted bread, and some roasted potatoes or a lighter breakfast of just fish-fin soup, plus a couple of rounds of cider, or if you're Maggie, you drink Salty's special hair of the dog, you then decide to venture forth into Murran and check out their local Bazaar for exotic and local items. Salty points you in the direction to head and it's only a few Murran city blocks away towards the Bazaar from Salty's Oar Rest Tavern & Inn and you manage to make it there without getting lost. Along the way you see the town of Murran become more alive as street vendors hawk their ware and locals quickly head towards their business by briskly passing you by, sometimes bumping into you innocently, yet with some hidden aggression towards outsider like yourselves, and it can become quite annoying. However, you find yourself in the Bazaar where there are stalls set up selling items ranging from local and exotic foods to fabricated clothes and textiles, a variety of weapons, and stands where charlatans are trying to sell random potions, trinkets, and some espousing their religious beliefs trying to find new converts.
((Clavorus, for now in any major town yes that works, but once in the wild I'll need you to do some nature and survival checks to make sure you are able to find and gather the herbs your require))
As the three set out to find passage, Cyrus turns and responds. "To be honest Gaerich, unless necessary I'd like to avoid conscription, mercantile or otherwise. I've had my hand on a couple ships, what say we go down to the dockhand and try our luck commissioning a voyage in some rich airhead's name? If the wind's not our way we can always try Martel. What say you?
((Back from break, hope everyone had a good holiday))
Clavorus, walking next to Cyrus and Gaerich says: "I'd like to try to not be anyone's servant as well. I hate being in debt to others. Plus, then we'd have to stay near the boat, do what a captain tells us to do... the entire idea of that makes me feel bombtingly mad."
Maggie enters the Bazaar with Gimble, not paying much attention to the aggressive passersby. Now that she was outside the tavern, she has her usual appearance. A cloak covers most of her features, aside from her red skin and her horns. Her rapier and dagger are hidden in her cloak, and her lute is on her back.
She walks towards the vendor selling potions. “Good morning, sir. Would you mind explaining to me about these items you have?”
Cyrus nods. "Good to hear we're of like mind." The aqua-skinned half-elf leads the way through the town west toward the Sword Coast, his barnacled rapier dangling from his hip. The three adventurers make their way to the docks and Cyrus looks around appraisingly.

After some discussion, Cyrus takes the lead and leads the three of them down towards the docks. Seagulls blanket the sky and the sounds of bells ringing get louder until the three find yourselves standing at the dock's entrance with a fleet of ships ranging from small rowboats to large galleons are tied up and bobbing in the sea. Ship recruiters have set up stalls along the docks, yelling out those who pass by promises of adventure, exotic locales, and riches to retire on. You all see dockworkers loading and unloading ships using handheld dollies. Merchants try to hawk their goods at the sailors on leave and one gentleman has been walking around to ships and passing out a flyers to everyone he can.
Gimble & Maggie
After quickly scarfing and drinking down breakfast the two of you split from the gentlemen and then head over towards the Bazaar. You notice stalls filled with all types of items and one particular, a stall filled with random potions, and you approach and ask the man a question.
"Aye, Madam. What I got ere' for ya are me and me uncle's potions we made ourselves. We got yet basic healin' potions, a few potions o' climbin', and fer da sailors we have a fair amount of potion o' water breathen'. Then we have some rarer exotic items, worth a little more than usual, but it's their unusualness that makes em' so unique. Like dis potion o' Animal Handle."
((After each bump, wary of theives, Gimble would stealthfully feel her coin purse to see if it is any lighter, slight of hand - 10, perception check - 21))
Gimble gets more excited as she and Maggie approach the Bazaar. She is a bit disheartened by the treatment of the locals, but that does little to dissuade her enthusiasm.
As the merchant starts to talk about the wares, Gimble gets bored and starts to look at the nearby shops. She looks at brooches, hair accessories and sturdy fabrics. She also looks at the fabricated clothing looking for clothes that make sense to her. She also looks for sheets of flattened metals or scrap metals. All the while, she keeps Maggie in view. She also looks for a small book to use as a journal.
If the conversation takes too long between the merchant and Maggie, Gimble will keep running up to Maggie wanting to show her the newest find.
Gaerich looks to Clavorus and Cyrus “this looks interesting.” He walks over and takes one of the fliers from the man, examining it as he rejoins his comrades.

Gaerich and Cyrus
"What does it say, Gaerich?" Clavorus asks. Clavorus scans the docks for anything that is being sold, unloaded/loaded, or otherwise out and about - that might have been from an ancient tomb, temple, ruins, etc. Basically, he's scanning the ships and crews and merchants for those that are actually worth their talk.

Still at the Bazaar, so just Gimble:
Maggie considers the potions, picking them up and looking at them. After a few moments, she says, “I’d like 5 healing potions. How much would that be?” Having dealt with charlatans and frauds in her past, Maggie carefully watches the potion vendor.
((I’ll do an insight check (+2) and perhaps perception (+3), you can pick whichever you think applies. I put the bonuses in case you want nat.))
Cyrus glances over Gaerich and Clavorus' shoulders as they inspect the flier. He looks up, catching the eye of a halfling maiden walking by with a grin. "Let me know if anything catches your eye?" he says over his shoulder to his companions as he takes their leave, crosses the halfling's path with a sly nod, and begins perusing past the rows of ship recruiters with an intentionally poorly affected air of disinterest.

Maggie:
((Gimble will buy some clothing, a set of traveling clothing and something a little finer, but all clothing must allow mobility. She doesn't want to spend more than 2 gold for either. ((Persuasion - 5)) Also, please let me know what she finds for accessories as well as scrap. Once I know prices, I will determine which she will purchase.))
((Also, start up conversations about where they obtained their wares, focusing on which trading companies are the most reputable. If they seem to balk at the question, not wanting to give up their sources, assure them that I only mean to join as a guard or crew member. Also, ask around about where postings or who to talk to for jobs, like an escort at sea, would be.))
Gaerich, the flyer you were handed by the nobleman reads the following: Are you brave in the face of danger? Skilled in combat and trained in survival? An expert in hunting large game? If so then you may be the perfect candidate to join and become an official guide for Lord Hammand's Bush Expeditions. Lord Hammand's Bush Expeditions, the number one big game company for the Lords and Nobels of Faerun. If interested please contact Captain Muldoon at 2042 Knotts Way, 2nd Floor.
Clavorus, your eyes keep scanning the docks, focusing on the cargo as it's being loaded and unloaded onto the docks and ships. Nothing unusual at first grabs your attention, but you do gather that most of these ships are trading vessels owned by large trading companies, but then there are a few independent boutique trading companies and the boxed cargo coming for these liners have unique writings on them that do pique your interest since they are unfamiliar to you.
Cyrus, you continue walking as you cross paths with the halfling maiden and you walk by the several stalls of captains looking to hire crew and merchants looking to sell sailors equipment. The Harbor Master shack stands at the center of the docks and is being operated by a grizzled human with a grey five'clock shadow and wearing an eye-patch. Next to the Harbor Master shack, you see a large bulletin board. At closer inspection you read the following:
-----HELP WANTED----- The Church of Waukeen is looking for a group of brave adventurers to provide security for our fellow Brothers and Sisters as they embark on their missionary journeys to the far off Misty Archipelago. Please ask for Brother Ruggero at the Temple of Waukeen for additional information.

Gimble & Maggie
The vendor smiles at Maggie and says, "I like your face. It's very pretty. I give you "the pretty" face discount. Let's say, 325 gold pieces for five potions of healing, plus I'll throw in this Goodberry Juice for free." The vendor's smile is very welcoming, but Maggie, you get the sense that like many charlatans, unless he knows you, this guy is probably screwing you with these prices. He keeps smiling and he has a look of desperation in his eyes.
Gimble, while Maggie is bartering with the potion vendor you scamper around the Bazaar and come across various stalls selling reams of silks, kinds of cotton, and wool as well as vendors selling foods with exotic spices that please your senses. A few stalls towards the outer ring of the Bazaar have more random items and one, in particular, that has a sign outside with Digby’s Dungeoneering burnt into it, seems to sell a variety of random knickknacks, tools, and metals.
Gaerich reads the flier over “This Muldoon could be our man. He’s a hunter of dangerous game. It doesn’t get much more dangerous than giant cold blooded creatures with dagger mouths. Maybe we could convince him to take us for the price of high adventure.” He hands Clav the flier and looks at the for sale sign “Unless one of you has 13,000 gold you haven’t told me about.”
