 Overall, people seem to be more interested in the exhibits than your group. However, the “treasures of the old world” is what catches your attention. As that isn’t something the government is usually too keen on.

Roland visibly struggles not to announce his arrival in bold letters. He keeps his hands on his belt buckle, bites the insides of his cheeks and just nods along as he waits for Deshi to answer the moustachioed gentleman.

Deshi gently pushes their way forward. "Professor Walton, sir? Greetings and well wishes from Master Tenar. You have not heard of Deshi, Deshi is sure, but Deshi is Deshi." Deshi shakes their head, suddenly recognizing how cumbersome the pronoun thing is getting, and resolves to use the first person every now and then. They then touch the tube hanging from their shoulder and lower their voice to a stage whisper. "Deshi also brings a certain item that may be of interest..."

 Walton thinks for a moment, looking you over, and then raises his eyebrows with wide eyes, “Ah! Yes, let’s talk about that!” He quickly pulls you in and closes the door behind him to the rest of the party.

Meanwhile, you all are left outside...

After a few moments of murmured conversation behind the door, the latch suddenly jiggles and it swings open. Deshi smiles and beckons the others in. "Come! Let us discuss secrets!"

 As Penny slides a foot forward, the door swings back open as Deshi shouts for you all to follow in. The door walks Penny in the nose... That’s gonna sting.

“Ow.” Penny slips into the room, looking about to get her bearings. 

Roland waltzes into the room and pats (or slaps, really) the professor on his shoulder. "The tortle says you're a big nerd on old world stuff, and we brought some stuff related to that stuff." He looks overly polite, painfully so even.

 The inside room is a decently-sized office space. It has a fine desk, a few bookshelves, and numerous, NUMEROUS books. There are two chairs off to the side that you can move in front of the desk.

Penny will take a seat on the corner of the desk (if there is any room, if not she will carefully move a pile of books so she can sit there).

 Walton sits and removes his glasses to clean them, “Yes, we briefly discussed. My colleague, if you can call her that I suppose, has underwent great personal expense to deliver this map to me. Something, for which, I am deeply grateful.”

Her? Penny blinks. "Good, then we'll expect our payment, and be on our way."

Deshi extends their neck to interject: "Dr. Walton need not pay us, of course! The map was delivered in the spirit of scholarship and to safeguard the knowledge it contains! However, Deshi fears the militia may be, ah, quite interested in meeting with us. Perhaps you have a spare room, doctor?"

The tortle blinks. "Oh, wait. Penny, were you not chiefly interested in making your way to," they look around the office furtively, "the world below??"

She looks at the tortle and rolls her eyes. "Like Dr. Dusty Books here has anything of value. Of course what I want is to visit the," she gives a stage whisper, "world below. That's where the treasure is." Then she looks around the place, seeing it with new eyes. "Unless he has treasure maps. Do you have treasure maps?"

Walton pushes a book away, “No...”

Roland grabs the book Walton pushes away and opens it, flipping through the pages. "I want a treasure map.. please. I can sleep on the floor if you'd rather give me a treasure map. I can even give you an AUTOGRAPH FROM THUnder hippo.."  Roland catches himself mid-boast. 

Ormond asks, "Dr. Walton what is your interest in the map Deshthi delivered? You also don't seemed overly concerned with the Militia - your museum has on display items that the powers that be would rather not have displayed. Do you have a relationship with the Militia and government?"
