Wilson salutes (Not as sharply as Morgan) standing next to her, then ever so slowly on wing extends and begins to tickle the back of her neck with a feather trying to get her to break. His attention snapping back to the captain at the mention of Payment.
"How much and when do we set sail?"
After he has been given any information the Captain is willing...
"I'll take first lookout " spreading his wings he launches the distance to the top to the single mast perching there like a gargoyle.

Abigail steps up into the ship, "Good to be on board. The terms sound fine. I will go stow my stuff below deck and then will be ready to push off. Just tell me what needs doing."
While stowing her gear, Abigail relishes once again feeling the gentle rock of a ship under her feet. "Too long."
She places her own footlocker down, and places the rest of the equipment she might need easier access to in her backpack on the ground next to it. Finally, she pauses a moment to reflect upon Alul, before placing his sword reverently next to her gear. "Revenge will be mine, eventually."
Moments later, Abigail returns to the deck, stretches, and then asks, "Where do you want me, Captain?"
Rollo looks at everyone as they begin to set up and find positions. He looks up at Wilson with a nod before over at Morgan, making a head motion for them to get back on board.
"Abigail, I need someone who knows their way around a map. Head into the cabin and begin to plot a course."
Mr. Firmin springs into action. Motioning for the rookies to come with him. "Tie off these knots, cast off these lines..." he pauses, correcting their ways. "Morgan, push off the dock. We'll get sails up once we're away from this port."
The Windhook begins to set out on it's first journey with a new crew.

Morgan tries to keep a straight face as the feathers brush up against their neck and is moderately successful.
When Mr. Firmin gives the order, she salutes again, "Aye, Aye! Mr. Firmin, sir!" And gets to work.
They'll come up behind the knew crew members and check on their work, "no, no no! Like this!" And give advantage to the first person they can. If the Captain or Mr. Firmin tell them to quit it they go to the row station. Athletics17

Lafetha goes with Sim. She lets Sim know, " I'm not to sure about this Mortis Foundation." She doesn't tell him why. She just leaves it at that.
She looks around at the buildings to see if there are any symbols or such that she might recognize on buildings that could give her an idea of the lay of the land. arcana27

Abigail heads into the cabin and starts charting a course.
As she measures and calculates Abigail is reminded of happier times - standing around maps with a dark-haired human, her unkempt wavy hair, her olive skin, and her pertinacity to foresee things others failed to. "Marissa, wherever your spirit is, I could really use your help right now so I do not end up making myself look like a fool..."
The Windhook sets sail. Morgan pushing off with the oars, Wilson in his perch, and Abigail looking through the various local and regional charts showing water flows during time of year. Lafetha glances around, trying to notice anything on the buildings as they get smaller and smaller in the distance, but.. nothing. They all seem like usual buildings.
Abigail seems to incorporate herself easily into the routine of the crew; her ease on the rigging, to her insight into the maps that leave many puzzled. Sim offers some help during the hours of the day as well, noticing the shifting winds and expected clear skies.
Mr. Firmin gives the newcomers some lessons; on how to row. How to climb the rigging without getting caught. Best ways of tying a knot and removing any sort of river gunk from the hull without causing too much drag. Where the supplies are. What goes where on the ship. That night, under the stars, is a fairly clear night. Bugs do swarm around, biting every so often. Sounds and calls along the shore of the river from the various creatures that move throughout the forest. Those that sleep in the crawl, sometimes hearing the bumps of large reptiles swimming under the flat-bottomed keel boat.
The Captain doesn't seem to harp on anyone just yet. Letting the others find their legs on a moving vessel, learning to sleep in shifts and rotations in a effort to keep everyone on their toes. But on the eve of the second day...
Wilson notices some kind of... breathing muck-like-sand dune under the water from his perch. The Captain turns the wheel hard. "Mr. Firmin, get the sail!" The tiny man uses his hook to undo and pull. Hoisting the sails up, bringing the boat to a stop.
The forested shoreline is about 10 feet away from bow and stern. A small channel seems to be to the right of the... blob.... but along some rocks and other debris. Ripples travel along the water of whatever it is that's there. "What in the four towers is that?" the Captain asks.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Morgan looks at the blob, "Is the issue that it's blocking our easier path, or that we want to figure out what it is? actually never mind my solution to either answer is the same. but before I do the thing that solves the problem but makes everyone mad at me... " Morgan looks for anything else that might be of interest or danger perception13 If they see something they cast Armor of Agathys
Morgan you take a look around. Whatever is in the water is behaving like it's breathing. Although you're not entirely sure of what. In the water, you see two crocodile noses sticking out. They could be a threat on their own if someone just jumped in.
Continuing your scan, there's a flick of metal catching light. You think whatever the blob is might be caught - or chained - up by a few metal hooks.
"Whatever it is, it's pretty big. Makes me nervous," Captain Wednesday says. Squinting his eyes to look over at the thing.
Morgan points out the crocodiles to the team, and the chain to the Captain, Mr. Firmin and Wilson ((if he's around))"sir, I don't like this. If someone is keeping this thing here on purpose... Feels like an ambush. On the other hand if this thing wants leave and can't, I'm not really interested in killing it unless we have to."
Since Lafetha isn't able to tell what the blob is, she cast speak with animals she asks the crocodiles, "hey there, do you know what this blob is? Is it a threat to you? We noticed that it might be trapped, is it trapped for a reason, do you know?"
One of the crocodiles eyes flicks over to Lafetha. The creature swimming a bit closer to the boat; eyes never blinking or moving away from the person somehow speaking to it.
"It is not food. It is hungry. It will eat when awake." The crocodile continues to just sit there looking at the crew of the boat.
Abigail eyes the situation and then says, "Permission to disembark, Captain? I would like to take a crew to investigate this creature further from the Windhook."
