Yam takes 3gp from the purse. As he ties it back up to pass on to the next person, he palms another 7gp, more out of habit than anything else. Not even looking to see if he was being watched. If no one notices or takes the purse, he'll hesitate a moment and then leave with it, wordlessly turning to head toward the inn.
Slight of hand: 22
Edit: To be clear, Yam is holding the closed purse expecting someone else to take it. Not holding it out to everyone...just pausing to see if anyone's waiting for it.
As he waddles off, Yam can be heard muttering to himself, "...this place better have decent food. If they've ruined all the fish by cooking it, so help me Norgorber..."
Once he's out of sight, Yam beelines for the inn, eschewing roads and paths...even bridges. He walks through farms and swims across the river since he hasn't had a chance to swim recently. Shaking off the water on the opposite bank, he continues through yards finally arrives at the Outward Inn. Still tracking mud, he walks in and finds the proprietor in hopes of procuring a room.
Kendra smiles and thanks you for the offer of an escort, but assures you there is no need.
"Those farm hands are mostly harmless, I'm sure they have either scattered back to their properties or headed to the Laughing Demon to balm their hurt egos in a pint. But the Outward is on the way to my house, so if you want to walk together as far as that I won't complain."
She holds her arm out to Dragutin, apparently expecting this escort to be of the walking side by side/arm in arm variety. (you can decide if you give your arm to her or not in your post...either way here's what happens next).
It is a brief walk on the southward road heading to the town square and the outward inn. And now that the rain has ceased, it is almost pleasant, save the numerous puddles of water and mud dotting the dirt roadway until you get to the cobblestone of the town proper. Kendra walks with the 6 of you to the outside of the Outward Inn. A sign hangs from the awning with the words lettered delicately, but no icon as often pictured at most inns and taverns, apparently the artist had no idea how to depict the contradiction of terms provided to him.
"This is where I carry on on my own, but thank you for the escort. I'll see you at the house soon. Don't be late, I don't know what is in father's will. But the council made it clear you should be there. Apparently Councilman Hearthmount was the solicitor that helped father prepare the document, so he already knows what it contains."
Her eyes scan across the group of you, ensuring that you all understand the importance of your attendance. They do seem to linger a moment longer on Dragutin, but that is not out of the ordinary for him.
Parasol closed and hanging at her side, she turns and walks further south towards her home.
As you all turn to head inside you are met with a small reception area. Off to one side is a fair sized sitting room with a number of chairs, but it is unattended by patrons. In front of you is a middle-aged woman behind a large writing desk, working on some paperwork. To the right is a staircase heading up to a second floor and a hallway heading deeper into the building.
The woman working the books looks up as you walk in and smiles. Her red hair is stunning and offset by green eyes and points of ears indicating her to be a half-elf.
"Welcome to the Outward in...don't stay out, come in come in!"Her smile brightens, clearly a joke she has told too often and one she finds more funny with each telling. "My name is Sarianna Vai, I'm the proprietor. My, there's a mess of you isn't there! We don't normally get this many visitors in one go. What can I help you with?"She closes her ledger, giving the group of you her full attention.

Dragutin hadn't expected to go strolling arm and arm with a refined woman, older though she may be, and his slightly awkward rigid steps were unlikely to go unnoticed. Likewise, if she had noticed his odor, she had been too polite to say anything about it. It was nice, though, in its own way. Her father had been the last person Dragutin had formed anything resembling a friendship with.
"Hello Sarianna Vai," he grunts as the group files into the Outward Inn. "I need a bath and a change of clothes."

Yam, facing Sarianna, jumps a bit when he hears the others enter right after him. Rarely spending time around other people, he often forgets that his stubby legs don't move as fast as most other humanoids.
Hearing Dragutin's voice croaking out something or other about smelling bad (it so hard to focus on what that one's saying...so creepy...), he turns back to the half-elf and smiles. "I think we all could use some cleaning up. And if you have 5 rooms available for the night it would be most appreciated."
Following Kendra's lead Eks finds his way to the inn. Having spent more than his fare share of time huddling in confined spaces Eks turns to Applebough "Tree, would you have room for one under your canopy for a fellow adventurer?"
Dragutin starts to interject as Yam asks for rooms, but catches himself. While he had no intention of staying in town overnight, if he had made enemies of yet another gang of pitchfork and hatchet peasants it would be best to let them plan on catching him someplace he was not. Besides, there was always the possibility that something could come up. If the rain worsened, he supposed, he would start just a little longer.

"Well, we have a washroom on each floor that can handle the needs of most. The use of those facilities is included in the price of the room. None of that fancy indoor plumbing that I've heard tell of though, so you will have to haul your own bath water from the kitchen. Because of that the one upstairs does not get used quite as often. As for clothes, I'm afraid I don't really offer such, but if you head over to the General Store (F), one of the Avanki's can probably fix you up. I know they do custom orders that take a few days, but they have a small stock of everyday work wear. And they have the best prices in town! Of course, they have the only prices in town, but that's the way it goes."
She opens her ledger again to check her availability, although she already knows it by heart.
"Let's see, travelling merchant will probably be in sometime later this week, maybe tomorrow, so he will want a room or two; depending on who he is travelling with this time. The Raspertine Brothers are fighting again, so Dadino is upstairs in the back room until he can make peace and go home...Yeah, I can find 4 rooms I think. Do you have a preference of up or down? For a single night a lower will run you a gold and an upper would be a gold 5 silver...better view. Of course, if you wanted to stay longer I could cut that down a bit...I have prices by week or by month if you prefer..."

"I'll take one of the upper rooms," Dragutin growl-purrs. Higher vantage meant quicker chance of detecting a mob if they came while he was there - and he could out but they couldn't get in, not without making a racket downstairs first. He gently hands the fire-wreathed half-blood two gold coins, waits for change, and then turns to leave. "I saw the place next door. I'll be back in a few minutes to draw water for a bath."

Dragutin exits the Outward in and walks around the square next door to the General Store. A human woman and two younger girls that are like miniturized versions of her are in the shop. The girls appear to be set to task straightening the stock in the show area, but are spending more of their time talking, giggling, and chasing than working. The woman stands behind the counter where the back wall displays even more items.
The store itself is simple, but replete in goods for sale. The store appears to mostly cater to the day to day needs of a small farming community like Ravengro. Various tools, bundles of rope, pots and pans, soaps and salts...all available. There also appear to be any number of kits, instruments, and gaming sets for recreation. You do not see much in the way of arms and armor at initial perusal, but there is a fine set of full plate on display behind the counter, posed to look like a knight standing at attention and ready to defend the store from intruders.
The woman behind the counter looks up as you walk in and pauses for a beat just staring at you before she speaks. "Girls, check in back for me would you? Your sister was supposed to be counting nails and I haven't heard from her in a bit. Make sure she isn't just back there reading again. GIRLS!! Go."
There is a frantic-ness to her voice...you've heard it before. The voice of a person pretending everything is fine while they work to get what is precious to them away from you while trying, and failing, to not appear rude.
The girls giggle at eachother, not giving you a second look as they scurry to the back room.
"Sorry about that. Children, they are a joy but also a handful. I'm Marta Avanaki, I run this store with my husband. WHO will be home soon I am sure. What can I get for you?"
Her smile is a little plastered on and and a little forced, and she did make a point of indicating her husband would be coming through the door any moment; apparently assigning some nefarious purpose to your visit in her mind. But she isn't kicking you out of the store immediately. You have encountered worse on a first introduction.
While Dragutin is at the shop, the rest of you that are staying in the inn are shown to your rooms and charged the appropriate amount.
Sarianna seems quite pleased to have her inn at half capacity for the evening, more full than it has been in a while apparently.
"Washrooms are at the end of each floor. Dinning hall's in the basement, supper served at 7 and again at 9...same with breakfast. No lunch service. Meals are not included in the room rate I should say, but guests do get a discount off of what walk-in customers pay. Plus there's normally some kind of entertainment goin' on down there. There is water and ale at dinner and water and coffee at breakfast. If you looking for a harder drink than that you will have to go to the Grinning Demon Tavern across the way. They've got food too, a wider variety...but you will pay more. Well, that's it I think...you've seen your rooms and you know the rest. Anything else I can get for you?"

"Hello Marta Avanaki," he nods in greeting. "Sarianna from the Outward Inn sent me. She said I could buy clothes here? I was caught in the rain and these clothes are looking a little threadbare."
He detects the fear but respects her attempt at civility. He wasn't afraid of her husband, of course. Actually, he may well be unconscious among the dead. He gives that thought no voice.
"I have good coin and it need not be fancy."

Telantha gives the innkeep a smile of thanks. "Well, can you answer some questions for me?" She asks, her curious nature reasserting itself after the too-long time being interspective. "What is this prison about? Why would the Doctor have been going there? Is it really haunted? Why did those people attack his daughter as we went to put him to rest? Why do you have wash rooms on each floor?"
