The drakes seem a bit confused and start looking about. When they see Rex, they take a tentative step forward, sniffing the air. Before leaving the shadows, though, they stop and look at Rex, half expectantly, half quizzical.
“Good... good...” Rex continues to try to soothe them, also taking a tentative step forward. Can Rex remember any commands that he may have heard in the past for these creatures?
(if one of the drakes is within 20 feet he will hurl the dagger at it and then move towards the back from the group, if not he will move just behind Fjordix and hold his action to throw the dagger once one of the drakes (or other creature) gets within 20 feet.)

After Arliden moves behind Fjordix, the drakes rush out from the darkness to the base of the steps, howling and keening at the gate at the bottom.
