So the Blackteeth need able bodies, the Scaleclaws need muscle, this "M" guy needs heavy lifters, everyone out too late needs protection from the Pursecutters, and the fishermen need... better weather?
Verrynia turns her head back toward the dwarves with an inquisitive look.
Seems this little outpost is still trying to find its legs.
Xarprax looks a little lost. "Robesy," he repeats with a half smile. He looks at the others. "I thought ... " He waves a hand, the worry leaving his face, and his grin returning. "Never mind. I don't know about moving boxes or breaking noses. Mostly I swing my pick at thieves and monsters. Adventurers sometimes call me a 'meat shield', but I don't really know what that means. But before I can return to the continent with Phaendar Yinqen, I need some drips and splashes or whatever to buy another ticket."
"Well yes, and no. As soon as you get within one of the nines favor or find your place within out "little outpost" as you call it, things are pretty good. The Pursecutters are pickpockets and thieves and usually don't threaten more than your coin purse. No daggers against throats and all that." He pours a drink for himself, a small glass of Pexian ale. He takes a sip and nods towards Xarprax. "If you're adventurers you could always join the next sleetbreacher or have at it on the other side of the mountains. The fog is a concern for both the fishermen, and a lot of the people in the city too. Fish and whalemeat is our main food resource, except from turnips, beets, kale and the odd potato here and there. So the fact that sometimes whole boatloads disappear over night is concerning."
One of the miners, a human man with greying stubbles and a very reciding hairline, on his way to buy another round of drinks for his table stops and looks to the party. He overhears the dwarfs final sentence. "Us miners need help exploring the caves too. Up in the mountain where we dig ore there are vast cave systems, but we aren't warriors and most of the help we get end up being sent home by the mistress."

The dragonborn smiles at the tiefling. "I mean I'm great at solving mysteries. I've been doing it since I was a vrak. Give me a mystery ... I'll solve it." He looks back at the barkeep. "I guess those fishers will be down at the docks tomorrow? I'll asks them some questions, and figure out why's up with that fog licking your slit!"
"Er ... it's the Draconic word for youngling," Xarprax replies to Krumdak and Gunnar.
Gunnar turns away and begins making his way out the door, “I was referring to the fog comment. Regardless, we all seem to be traveling in a similar direction. I will escort you all on my journey.”

As hammered as you got, I think you might be the one needing an escort. Either way, something entertaining is gonna happen with your group. Might as well watch.
Khurah finishes her coffee nodding along to your conversation in blissful silence with her fresh brew. "I'll join you. Getting to know the city is useful before heading out into the wilderness."
The barkeep nods along to your conversation, idly listening while fixing up another round of ale for the miners. "Aye, you'll find them on the northwestern side of the pier. Better get up early though, they head out to sea even before sunrise sometimes."
So, are the group heading out to find lodging for the night?

Khurah, feeling her spirits lifted by the unexpected coffee, raises a small something to her lips and whispers to it softly. A hanging globe of light suddenly appears before her, the image of a dark, rain-soaked shoreline swirling within it.
She grimaces. "I... I'll join you all for just one night. No sense in ruining my pack before I have supplies or a shelter of my own."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Verrynia follows the rest of the group, constantly looking around on the way to Mejin's establishment.
She's specifically looking for anything that might be related to the Pursecutters. If she sees anything, she'll take a mental note for later, but she won't stop to investigate.

Gunnar definitely meant any threats to the people that he could help put down. He is not threatening people... yet.

Xarprax points at the dwarf. "That sounds like a mystery! I'm great at investigating mysteries."
Gunnar just stares silently at that remark, before suspiciously speaking, “... Really?”
