The manticore stops bashing the door and runs to be in front of your group. "Deer that way?" it stops for a while, not knowing what to do next. "Want food now!" it roars, angry with hunger. It seems about to attack you when it catches the fresh meat scent produced by Xarroth. Not accustomed to magic, starts flying in that direction, hoping to catch something to eat.
"I think it has the scent now, just stop running and let it pass over you." Lia calls as her companion starts running back the way they came. "End what you are doing!" She calls, hoping he would end the spell he had cast.
The manticore ignores you, as you clearly don't look like deer. It flies over you and goes into the bushes. You can hear it trashing the place and reckon that any deer that may be in there will most likely run away from the noise. The noise gradually fades as the manticore goes deeper into the forest hunting for food.
Noticing that the maticore is fleeing the place, Adabra opens the windmill door on the first floor and urges you to come inside "I'm not sure if that beast will come back soon, but it's safer in here".
"Thanks." Lia says, walking inside and giving the herbalist a nod of greeting. "I'm Lia, and those out there are my companions. We were sent to make sure you were safe, and it looks like we came in the nick of time."
Rhok also enters the windmill. "Townmaster Harbin from Phandelin asked us to seek you out to come back to town to be in a more safe environment. Are you able to travel back with us?"
"that is correct, not to sound blunt, however, a white dragon has been seen in the skies of late. You would be much safer in town than out here by yourself"
The inside of the windmill is sparkingly clean, you see a shelf full of herbs and at least half a dozen cauldrons of different sizes stacked in a corner. There is a potent smell coming from the grinding stones, you can see the remanis of crushed roots between them, oozing a whitish liquid.
The woman looks at the four of you and introduces herself "my name is Adabra Gwynn, I worship Chauntea through healing". She does not appear to be afraid at the news "a dragon, you say. That would explain the manticore seeking food in these parts, they usually live in the mountains, but a larger predator would most likely displaced it out of its hunting grounds."
She thinks about the situation for a second "thanks for getting word of the situation to me, but I can't leave this place. You see, I need this windmill to make the potions that I use to heal sick people. I'll make sure to keep an eye on the sky and have my things packed to go at once if the need arises". She offers you a Potion of Healing to help you on your way and tells you that if you need more, she will gladly sell them to you at 50 gp. each.
Rhok turns and looks at the group..."i know I don't have the ability, do any of you posses the ability to send a message to townmaster Harbin to let him know of the situation?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rhok gratefully accepts the lotion of healing for the group and says to the midwife "my apologies Adabra, my manners escape me, my name is Rhok, we will put this to good use in the hunt for the dragon, but I beseech you, Townmaster Harbin would like to speak with you in Phandelin. We are in process of warning others to seek shelter until this threat can be neutralized."
"We were asked to urge you to come to town and are suppose to report in when you are safe." Lia says with a sigh. "Do you feel you are safe here? Wouldn't it be better to be in town?"
Adabra thinks about the situation for a moment, then replies "I really appreciate your concern. But if we have a dragon nearby, these healing potions that I'm brewing are probably going to be in high demand". She starts going over her ingredients, making notes on a parchment and muttering to herself "I'm all set for most things, but I still need to pick more mullberries and mistletoe".
She turns back to you "I feel that I'll be as safe here as I'll be if I were to move to Phandalin. If you want to ease the Townmaster I could write you a note saying that the warning got to me and that I prefer to stay here for a while at least".
"We can give him such a note and see what he thinks of it." Lia says with a nod. "Hard to say if he will just send us back here again, but at least it is not that far from town."
"are the mulberries and mistletoe nearby, or do you need to journey far to get? If so, we may be able to retrieve them in case the dragon is about" Rhokasks

Xarroth uses his magic to generate the smell of fresh meat and shouts towards the creature.
"Creature! Your next meal does not lie beyond that door, they are this direction! Deer! Plenty and unable to escape!"
The manticore stops bashing the door and runs to be in front of your group. "Deer that way?" it stops for a while, not knowing what to do next. "Want food now!" it roars, angry with hunger. "Bahamut's shiny scales!" Xarroth dashes as far as he can, still producing the smell, "Yes, creature! This way! The deer are this way...!"
Panicking, the dragonborn looks for the tracks the deer...
