Shaking her head with a mildly exasperated expression,
"Williard, you know I will never find the answers I seek sitting around here, so I don't understand why you thought I was merely speculating. However, I am glad that you have decided to join me, and not a moment too soon, as I am just now preparing to embark on an exciting quest with my new found friends. Let me introduce..."
Interrupted by a shout Daxori turns to see the approaching soldiers.
Oh bother!, she thinks upon hearing the Corporal's words. Putting on her most disarming smile, she speaks in a pleased voice,
"Dear Corporal Fellthrush, how wonderful to see you so attentive to your duties. I was just now asking these kind, newcomers how they had managed to enter Threshold without learning of its rules and yielding their weapons to the safe keeping of our fine, professional guardsmen such as you and your men. We have been unable to figure out how it happened, as they had no intention to contravene the law in any way. But no harm done, as you are here now to help them get properly settled on the right side of the law as they had intended."
Ruthor stands up and looks at Corporal Fellthrush and says aloud. "Ruthor Firebrand of Highforge be my name. Perhaps if yur soldiers were at the gate when I arrived it would have saved you this awkward moment. I know a thing or two about running a squad, I too served as a loyal soldier in Highforge."
Ruthor steps forward a few paces and hands his battle axe over to Fellrush and says "Rules are rules here is my axe.... Next time have your squad at their posts it will make it easier to find them next time, and yea really should pay attention to who just can walk in undetected in this er day and age. As for the chain mail I am wearing I am sure even ye can appreciate the fact we are all soldiers to the bone and its like a second skin to us." Ruthor turns on his heavy booted heel and walks back to his bench and sits down.
Not one to trust any local law enforcement with his freedom, Thurmun attempts to nonchalantly step into the shadows and circumvent any potential notice by "the man".
Corporal Fellthrush seems to not notice you Thurman as he is speaking to your companion "Ruthor Firebrand there are two outer gates, Sergeant Arthol heads the guards on the southern gate, and Sergeant Marek heads the northern gate guards, surly you entered by one or the other."
"But all is well and we all know our responsibilities now. you may collect your belongings on your way out of town." Corporal Fellthrust and his squad gather up the illicit weapons and head out.

"Trust in your friends, and they'll have reason to trust in you."
"Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing."
Stepping back into the street cautiously, Thurmun walks non-nonchalantly up to the group.
"I found sumpin at the Offal Clod's table...", he pulls out the partial map and presents it for the group to see. "It's half a floor plan for the castle. I'ma thinkin we should be well on our way and seek out this ere castle, clean out the goods n be off affor they get done gettin goods together for the job."
"We jus need some ridin lizards or steeders ta get us there n I'm ready ta go, though ye might be needin some vittles fer yerselfs. Time's a wastin!"
Thurmun looks about for the stables, hoping to find a good and trusty Underdark mount and mumbles. "I don trust them no-toed behemoths them humies ride..."
Pulling out a piece of paper, quill and ink, Daxori quickly makes a copy of the Thurmun's recently borrowed map. Upon finishing the copy she says,
"Now we have our own copy, so we should really make sure this one gets back to its rightful owners before they miss it. After that I'm game to head out as soon as everyone else is ready. I just need to nip back to my room to get my gear. And Thurmun, I wasn't kidding when I said I couldn't afford Mr. Clement's offer of services, so I highly doubt I can afford a pony and riding gear. Besides, from what I remember the castle is only about half a days walk from here along the road to Verge."
Looking apologetically to Williard she adds,
"Sorry Williard, no time for introductions now, but if you keep with us we'll all get to called well I'm sure."
Thurmun doffs his cloak as he says, "As m'lady says, I'll return this ere paper an be right back..."
He turns his coat inside out displaying an uncharacteristic rich and vibrant green lining that could pass as a servants liveries. Out of his pocket he produces a green and white slouch cap and a pipe. He looks back and his normally dour countenance has transformed into a smiling and subservient face, eager to please his master.
A strange an eloquent voice issues forth from the mouth of your not so subtle companion, "Madame, I am truly chagrined to advise that my master, Lord Codswallop, expects me to serve his evening wine shortly. I will bid you adieu as I must proffer a new bottle from yon establishment after these shamefully clumsy hands dropped his last bottle in the cellar only moments ago." With an elaborate and distinguished bow, and a wink, he turns and purposefully strides off back into the bar whispering "I'll be but a moment m'lady."
Ruthor looks at Daxori and says "Ye don't think these other adventurers are gonna have something to say about us beating them to the spoils and plundering what they were paid to do as a job? Surely Enzo and Belorin don't want to be on the wrong side of the law for something we could have prevented. I may be a cranky old dwarf to some, but I am not unwise to how this may play out. Second to this we haven't asked the land owners permission to just wonder in and lay claim to something that isn't rightfully ours for the taken. Ye all may be a tad influenced by the beverage you all have been gulping down."
Thurmun as you enter the Shady Dragon Tavern & Inn for the second time today you notice the Orpheus' Company has settled down at there table and enjoying a well earned meal. The by complete surprise the Tortle Belorin is still seated at the table you all just recently vacated nursing his cup of wine apparently oblivious that the rest of you have left.
The Tavern is still moderately busy at this time of day as the late afternoon crowd are starting to enter and take seats, ordering food and drink.

"Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing."
Meeting Ruthor's eye with a calm gaze, Daxori replies patiently,
"Ruthor, the new land owner clearly only has interest in the property itself, and not any artifacts that may be found therein as he was willing to pay for someone else to take them away. As for the Orpheus' Company, they will be paid the 100 gold each either way, and if we clear the place before they get there then it is very easy money at no risk to themselves, so we would really be helping them out at great risk to ourselves just for spoils that may not even exist. Also, they did not seem the type to be interested in preserving historical artifacts, which would be our main interest and the most likely things to be found. Finally, if you are really concerned about the land owner's permission, I will go and ask him for it. I really can't see any reason why he would not grant it."
Thurmun walks purposefully up to the bar, a servant on request of his master, and smoothly orders a bottle of wine for 1 gold. On his way out he plans to drop the map near the Company table and continue on out the door.
Enzo spends some time getting his gear in order, tightening straps on his armor, adjusting his boots for comfort. All the while paying attention to Daxori and Ruthor and their conversation.
"With faith the actions you take are always just!'
Belorin slowly stands well picking up he's things and says
"I thought we was going to be just doing some fighting, But we get help keep some people safe, save some heirloom and help clear out some baddies. This is look like it's going to be a very fulfilling journey"
Thurmun the servant has arrived back with the group with Belorin slowly following behind him.
Daxori knows roughly by looking at her map and some knowledge of the the history of the area that the old Antilles Castle is to the south west of town, so you will need to leave by the south gate and will need to travel approximately 10-12 miles by road.
Williard who has lived in the area for some time can lead you to the castle.
So if you leave soon you will arrive around late afternoon, early evening. You estimate that the Orpheus Company will leave in the morning and arrive there a little after noon.
Whats your next move?

Sensing that the majority are with her, Daxori brightens and changes tack,
"Right you are Enzo! And I have faith in our quest, but if anyone", glancing meaningfully at the dwarf, " is uncomfortable with attempting to rescue what history might remain at the keep, they are under no obligation to go there. I propose that we all go off and make whatever preparations we need to be ready, and meet at the southern gate in half an hour. If you don't wish to join us, then we'll see you when we return."
With that she bids Williard to follow her and heads off to her room to collect her traveling gear.

After waiting to be sure the squad is gone, Daxori lets out a sigh of relief. She then turns to Thurmun (Perception: 20), and says pointedly,
"My curiousity grows and grows."
Stepping back into the street cautiously, Thurmun walks non-nonchalantly up to the group.

On his way past their previous table, Thurmun bows before Belorin.
"Master, I have requisitioned your afternoon wine. It is time we depart to chill it appropriately. Let us quit this place and retire for the day"
With that said, he looks up at Belorin and makes an insistent and urgent 'LET'S GO!' gesture and heads toward the door.
Belorin looking down at the gnome, slowly blinking says
"You got wine, that sound lovely but we got a job to off to. I'd love to have that wine later tho."
Belorin not quite up to speed with Thurmuns deception he doesn't really notice Thurmuns use of the word master.
Thurmun the servant has arrived back with the group with Belorin slowly following behind him.
