Selthar takes a moment to make sure the man's weapon is not in reach. After a quick look to spot any other weapons Selthar then attempts to stabilize him. Medicine: 23
"Is your group part of a larger group that came to this world?" Selthar asks the leader assuming the stabilize works. Also assuming Kroneker does not shoot the man again for making him chase him down.
"We have a method to return to our world. Where is yours?"
If the man seems to be honest(Insight : 6) Selthar's plan is to bind him up using strips from the recovered jewelry bag and his own clothing. While out of earshot Selthar quietly lets Badrizar and Kroneker know "I plan to leave him bound and without a way back to his world. Let him perish with all the inhabitants we will be unable to save in this doomed world."

After the enemy falls unconscious, Kroneker cautiously approaches his allies. He makes it just as Selthar finishes his attempt to stabilize him. Once the warforged is done, Kroneker will proceed to unceremoniously strip the armor off of the unconscious enemy with the help of his short swords, without any concern for its integrity or the man's comfort - his priority is speed. Once the man is down to his underwear, Kroneker will tie him down. (Survival: 19 or Athletics: 4 check, whichever you think is appropriate)
Once Kroneker believes the man is secure, the goblin will proceed to use his breath as improvised smelling salts to wake him up. If it doesn't work after a minute, Kroneker will start slapping him, more and more violently until he wakes up.
Once the man is conscious, Kroneker will stand behind him with his swords drawn.
"Answer our questions, meat. Try to break free, and you're dead. Try to run, and you're dead. If you lie to us, you're also dead. Capiche?"
Needless to say, Kroneker will immediately attack to kill if any of these conditions trigger.
Intimidation: 20, Insight (If you want to say Kroneker has disadvantage on this check because he can't see the man's face use the lower number. Otherwise the first for a normal roll.): 22/12
The man rouses to goblin breath. He keeps his head down during questioning, letting his body sway weakly. "Yeah, there's more of us, a bunch more. My group, we chased a man. They shot him in the leg, but he kept running like it was nothing. What's it matter, right? They're all going to die anyway, they don't want to understand that the least they can do is give up what's still useful from them in death. He ran zig-zag through the forest. And the bastard lost us in it. We could have given him a clean death among the living." He shakes his head.
"My portal? Well," he shrugs, "I don't know. Somewhere that way," he motions with a tilt of his head.
"Yeah. It was a shadow, made sure each of us knew not to hurt servants of Lillaeas. Our expedition leader told it to go to hell, and he went rigid for a half a minute. After, he said we were to obey the banshee's demand... said that none of those trapped in time were Lillaeas' servants, just avoid anyone not caught in time. Don't suppose you're one of them?"
Hearing that, Kroneker quickly dashes to Badrizar, and whispers to him. "Didn't Lila-something tell us not to fight his servants? Does that mean he's one of them servant? Does it mean we are shadow servants? Kroneker doesn't understand. And use a health potion, stupid, you're bleeding all over. Makes us easy to track."

The cleric looks at his wounds again, then at Kroneker. "You are free to take what you will,"says Badrizar, quoting Lillaeas, "but do not get in the way of my servants. If, indeed, being free of the time trap means that one is a servant of Lillaeas, then I would like to ask that shadowy fellow why he failed to mention that to us. Seems like a rather important ground rule."
Badrizar pauses as he rummages through his pack, looking for a healing potion. "Banshee's demand?" muses Badrizar. "What could that mean?"he asks rhetorically.
He removes the cork to the Potion of Healing and drinks down its contents (6 hit points restored).
"Let me think this through. Lillaeas seemed to indicate we are here because he has willed it...or allowed it, anyway...to fulfill his purpose on this planet. So, in his mind, we could be his servants. Which would lead us to the conclusion that this poorly-dressed fellow that we've nearly killed and have now bound might be...could be...a servant of Lillaeas as well. Interesting, eh?"
"We are not servants. We are not frozen. Therefore others could be here that are not servants and not frozen. We were provided no way of identifying servants by appearance alone. We must assume others are what they appear to be unless otherwise stated." Selthar waves at the bound form "His group appears to be nothing more than opportunistic murderers. If they were anything otherwise we would have known by now. We can confirm though."
"Lillaeas. Is the one bound before us your servant?" Selthar states loudly while facing the bound leader.
Responding to Badrizar's musings "Also, I believe banshee was used as an insult in the context he described."
Hardly a moment passes before the phantom appears, standing at your height. The vague shape moves about in place, taking a moment. "Next time, wait for me to appear. I heard enough of your question to understand this time. No, this is not a servant of mine. I presume that is all you need." The phantom waits, dispersing if not asked another question.
"You've had enough out of my defeat, haven't you? I deserve death now." Says the warrior.
"Maybe tell us how to tell servant from not servant, eh?" Kroneker asks as he approaches the prisoner.
"Hold still now. This will only hurt a moment." Says the goblin as he grabs the man's head, pulls it back and slits his throat from behind.
After he's done bleeding out, Kroneker will collect the rope and the crossbow bolts still stuck in him. "A shame to let so much meat waste, but we have no time. It does taste like chicken, you know. Now let's go, we got treasure to find!"
Responding to Selthar, Badrizar says, "Ah, of course...banshee...I understand. A bit hard to think clearly when one is negotiating three stab wounds..."
Badrizar turns away, shaking his head as the group's captive meets his end. "Poor chap had to die twice today. Most unkind. Away we go then. Same as before? Selthar in the lead? With rope and all?
"The rope will not be needed. That was just used when attempting to sneak up on others and to communicate when we could not see each other. This environment is making stealth unlikely. I recommend we just travel as a group for now. We should follow the trail that we are on till we come to something to investigate. Structures and a population center would be best in my opinion."
"We had an earlier question about navigation in this place." At this point, Selthar checks to see if the star has moved. "I do not foresee getting lost as a problem. The device Badrizar has should be able to lead us to the nearest portal when needed. He just needs to be alive for us to all leave when required. We only need to not retrace our steps."
Selthar looks to Badrizar "If you are well enough to travel we should pick a direction." Selthar then examines the path they are on and attempts to tell if there had been traffic on it recently.
"Don't bother looking for tracks now, it's all just a mess. What we need to do is find the road, which is about 300 feet that way, and follow it that way until we find a sign that would point us to a city. Capiche? Let's move." Kroneker will quickly check his gear to make sure everything's in place and proceed to do what he just said they should do.
"You leave tracking to Kroneker, what you need to do..." Kroneker points at Selthar "...is make sure we're not ambushed with those freaky ears of yours. Kroneker will know where to go. You will make sure we get there."
The star seems to be about the same place. Kroneker already knows it is moving.
In the moment you have to look for tracks, you find nothing remarkable.
Kronker's sense of direction and distance proves to be on point, and climbing back up the hill to the plateau, you first find the corner of a smooth painted skyblue building, three stories tall, just barely able to see the roof from up close to it. The first floor has no windows, but the second has many light green stained glass ones too small for even Kroneker to fit through. The third features larger windows of stained glass set into crossed iron bars, also too small for Kroneker to squeeze in. You circle around the side of it, following it sixty feet before coming into view of a tall double door, nearly ten feet wide and looking to be made of smooth white stone. Motionless, two men in half-plate stand before the closed door, each holding a pike. They have pale blue skin and grey eyes, otherwise appearing human. The one closer to you has his head turned in your direction, looking slightly skyward. The other holds a hand to his mouth in the middle of a yawn, eyes half open. Free standing torches are lit at their sides, the transparent flames completely frozen in time. The same path you saw earlier extends from the door, proceeding out of sight.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
While Selthar is looking at the roof, Kroneker will pull out his crossbow, stand in front of the guards, take his time to aim carefully, and shoot them both right in the throat. Assuming of course he can execute them with one clean shot each.
If successful, Kroneker will say: "They're already dead. Might as well put them out of their misery, and kill a potential threat."
If not, I guess it would be time for initiative since Kroneker just attacked one of them and he unfroze: 22
Crossbow attack, in case initiative starts: 24 Damage: 8
The side of the manor has a flat edge, with a mild overhang with a small permanent rail. Still, you find the roof is peaked, visible from the facade aside two dormers at the third level.
(Normally a 'coup de grace' is only achievable within 5 feet of a helpless target and simply guarantees a critical hit. However, I'll permit a short-ranged coup de grace in cases where you are not under pressure and the target has absolutely zero chance to defend themselves, such as in this situation. It will still only result in an assured critical hit. Kroneker should have the understanding that they have a pretty good chance to survive such an attack. Given that, perhaps you guys could take more advantage of the situation before engaging?)

Wincing through the pain, Badrizar asks, "When you arrived here, did anything or anyone greet you? What did it say?"
Once the man is done answering Badrizar Selthar will let his companions know "His being a part of a larger group makes my plan an unnecessary risk."
