 Probably didn't need to cast shield that time either then.  His AC is 20.

Casts sapping sting.
DC 14 Con save or take 5 necrotic damage and fall prone. If you save you still take half damage but are not knocked prone.
He then flies upward, possibly causing an attack of opportunity. His opponent failed the save and fell to the groun, taking falling damage and then yields.

Brocc (aid) VS Harven
Attacks harven after moving in close, but misses on both strikes. The mount had to do a double-move so cannot attack this round. Harven's first attack will also have disadvantage, as the Spider mount will use its reaction to impose disadvantage. (Deflect attack.)

Bennin VS Cindrus
Yields as he is now at 3 hp. Next fire breath will take him out no matter if he somehow makes the save or not.

Saves against the hideous laughter spell.

Shoots at Balful then drinks a healing potion.

Harven (wrathful smite) VS Brocc
Attacks Brocc 3 times, missing twice and Brocc casting Shield to block the other.

"I have seen enough."  The Arena Master's voice echos throughout the areas.  "You are all worthy warriors.  Stand down and return to the barrier wall."  Once everyone has done so they are all teleported back to the observation area.  Those who were defeated find themselves there as well, their wounds healed and no isgns of the battle they just fought.  Everyone else's wounds have been healed as well.

"You will find your rewards in your rooms as before."  The Arena Master tells you, looking slightly less disappointed in you as a group.  "I will tell you that tomorrow's battle will be against undead, so prepare accordingly if you have anything to prepare." 

I head to my room, glad that i defeated that half-elf paladin, rejoicing in my victory, and hoping for a good reward.

(Yeah, no one wants to watch two old dwarves fail at hitting each other over and over again.)

Karnys touches the barrier wall.  Instead of an old dwarf though, a huge half-orc appears in the marketplace.

Said massive half-orc is wearing exquisitely crafted black plate mail, and carries an enormous greatsword on his back and a hammer that's nearly as large.  He's not currently wearing a helmet, and you can see his skin is darker than most of his race, and his ears more pointed.

He'll buy a potion of heroism from the shop, and a potion of greater healing if it's not too expensive.
