Symon would take two goodberries during the rest, pocketing them for now. During the rest he expends a hit die and heals 4 hit points. After the rest he lights his scimitars up again, and with an agile flip, pops one berry into his mouth. He is down 5.

The door opens easily (I believe it was already ascertained there were no traps).
This big, square chamber has been hewn out of the rock. In the center of the chamber’s west wall is a stone door that has a narrow viewing slit. Beside the door is a set of iron bars bolted into the wall about three feet above the floor. Ten oiled chains are secured to the bars, leading up to a hole bored in the ceiling. Another solid stone door is in the middle of the east wall.
An eight-foot-tall rectangular stone stands upright in the room’s center. The stone has an inscription on it that’s hard to read from a distance. At the foot of the standing stone, a small human is pinned, face down, by rocks placed atop his arms, legs, and back. He is barefoot and wears ragged clothes.
A tall half-orc stands in front of the western door, peering out of the viewing slit. He turns around when he hears the other door open, and his mouth opens in a comical expression of astonishment. He stands there gaping for a few seconds, then points at the western door (the one he's standing by, across the room from you).
"You can't be here. You have to go!"
At the sound of his voice, the pinned boy lifts his head feebly.

Short rest 911
Eating 1 Goodberry.
Kethra had been alone, patching up her wounds and cutting out a square from a spare piece of leather armor. But getting pretty flushed at hearing everyone talking about her, the cloaked girl suddenly speaks up.
"Ahem! Thank you everyone for worrying about me. I thought I could take a few more hits than that, but...yeah. Yes, I really would appreciate some help in holding the front, Symon! Adventuring needs exploring, and that means getting our hands dirty. Davian, if I get hurt again, I would appreciate trading places temporarily. But next time we face some bad guys, just go ahead and cast that spell...."
Kethra undoes her cloak and rolls up her sleeve, showing off an arm with toned but reasonable biceps complimenting her thin figure. "I'm actually pretty good when it comes to strength! Especially if I'm using my master's secret breath regulation technique (rp'd as rage). It's when my eyes get all scary and stuff."
Rolling her sleeve back down and she sticks her tongue at Davian, "Besides, I'm a gardener, remember?"
She finishes the patch of leather by striking holes at their pieces' edges with a javelin, stringing a cord through the holes, then pulling the cord taut into a new waterproof Goodberry pouch. "Here, take some before I pack it all away, Symon."
Upon entering the new room, Kethra nods at Jairus to show his new "allegiances" by revealing the cultists' leather armor he put on under the cloak Kethra offered.
“How do I look?” Jairus asks, showing Kethra the cultist garb. “I am a woe bringer! Beware the woe that I will bring! I worship some really old and awful and scary things you don’t even understand, and neither do I, and it won’t do me no favors but I’m prolly gonna summon it anyway cuz I’m cuh-raaazy.”

"Well we are here." Rubin says and marches straight to the boy, starting to move the stones off of him without delay. "Who did this to you and why?" He glances from the boy to the half-orc. "Why is he like this?" He asks the half-orc.

Jairus attempts to Help action Tyde on a Deception, using a subtle shove to push the more eloquent Wizard forward (--he is our most charismatic character--) and saying, "Master, don't you have new orders for this one, regarding the child?"
"I'll retrieve the sacrifice," Jairus says, glad Tyde fell in with the ruse and pulled it off better than he would have. He goes to check on the boy's condition, covertly, while preparing to "move the sacrifice," unless the Half-Orc intervenes.
"Huh? What in the Nine Hells you sacrificin’ him for? Didn’t have no orders from the elders about sacrificin’. He’s a nice lad, just a bit disobedient. I wouldn’t ‘ave reacted that harshly if I were his Da, but I’m not."

Jairus is confused, and looks to Tyde with a shrug, muttering so only his party members can hear, "What kind'a off brand cultists are these, that ain't into no sacrificin'? My bad. However y'all want to play this."

Everyone is up. Rubin and Jairus are 25 feet away from the half-orc, Tyde is 20 feet away. The rest of you I'm assuming stayed in the back of the room, so you're 50 feet away.
The boy is mostly unconscious, and is right next to both Rubin and Jairus.

Rubin would settle down and take a short rest with the others.
"I can help with scouting if it is needed as well." He offers as the group prepares to head out again.
“Never do mind a second set of eyes up there, lookin our for nastiness and hidden stuff,” Jairus says. “You’re more’n welcome.”
There are doors to the west and east. Which would you like to check out?
(Also, there are still 8 goodberries left. And, Kethra can spend a hit die if she wants to.)

”Do I sound like a real cultist?”
"Yeah, look at his armor!"
The room is 50 by 50, the boy 25 feet away. Half-orc is 50 ft away.
Jairus, are you saying this to the half-orc after you enter the room? Or is this conversation taking place before?

OOC: Before, I did not see the advance on the movement and the new scene, so assume Jairus' "cultist parody" was part of the short rest.
Jairus stands quietly, arms crossed, and waits to see how the half orc responds to Rubin's questioning.
The half-orc gapes at you.
"You can’t be here! I’ll make you leave if I have to!"
You get the impression he’s not fully aware of what’s happening, that he’s just following orders he doesn’t really understand.

"First, why shouldn't we be here?" Rubin asks, already removing stones from the boy. "That's a fair question isn't it?"
The half-orc looks increasingly confused and desperate.
"Why shouldn't you be here? Because you're not allowed here! Now you've made me make you leave."
He draws his weapon and advances on Tyde . . .
