He gathers his things and idles up to Kethra's side. "The Light will bring life back to this damned place. And we shall be the ones to shine it!" The comment, seemingly from nowhere but clearly directed at the warrior woman, hoping to portray his admiration of her skills and tenacity.
He waits ready to move when the rest do.
((SR taken))
Upon hearing this, Kethra snapped out of her depressed funk from staring at the sinking dragon. Turning to the Warrior of Light she timidly cleared her throat and raised her fist to the air in agreement, although it didn't really go up that high. Actually, without her cloak Kethra seemed to lose a few inches in height (or it was more obvious just how short she actually was).
“Yeah! We'll go through this fancy building! And when these guys are done looking at the outside, could I get your help with the door?”
Tyde looks at Xan's foot and then at the door, he nods slowly and takes a few steps back to make some room in front of the door for it to be broken down... possibly?
"Thinking it over now, maybe we should have checked the tower outside before exploring down here. But I guess if we had done so we might never have known about the prisoners."
Tyde holds the Orb of Seven Lightnings in his left hand and gestures toward the door with his right.
"Catch 22, I guess. Does anyone else get the feeling that there might be more cultists down here?"
As he muses over the building, Kethra runs to catch up to him, fixing a shield to her arm and her long white hair in a ponytail behind her.
“You’re probably right, Mr. Tyde. Can you send Allistair to keep an eye on the second floor? We can get the door for you, but....every tower and place here seems to have arrow slits punched out somewhere, and the fancy decorations up there could be used to hide something, you know?”

Taking Tyde's earlier nod of approval as 'Go Time!', Xanranzan thoughtlessly stepped back to firm up his stance for optimum kicking, before pretty much lunging forward to try and snap the door open on the handle side. If opened, he is quick to rush inside with blades drawn and yelling as his battle cry, "Knock, Knock ya skeevy sky rats!"

(Congrats on the nat 20!!)
Kethra clapped and cheered as Xanranzan bravely charged in and attack the door with such force!
With the new change of plans, Kethra grabbed a piece of debris, tossing it a few times to test its weight. With a mischievous smile, she threw it at the roof to loudly bounce around the "ornate" roof decorations if Xan breaks down the door to confuse whoever was inside.
"Just wait until the Blacksmith gets here... you guys are in trou-ble!"
Taking cover behind one of the walls where the door once was supported by, Kethra bugs out her pale blue eyes at the wizard for throwing her under the bus. She motions to her not-very-intimidating-looking face, peeks inside again, points inside, then bugs out her eyes on him again.

Catching on to Kethra's ploy, Marros adds to the confusion by attempting to imitate the sound of a number of people running past the door, heading in the direction of Kethra's 'noise'.

As you run in, you surprise 7 figures levitating above the floor and chanting. They drop down, caught completely off guard and scrambling to draw their weapons.
There's one dressed the same way as the outside guard, as well as one with slightly more drab clothing and 5 dressed like normal initiates. They're in the back middle of the hall, so about 60 feet away.
(Everyone roll initiative, you have a surprise round so can post your first turn.)

Xan's Initiative: 9.
While Xanranzan can only stride a mere 30ft compared to Rubin, he takes as long a stride as he could while trying to stay at least 15ft away from others, striking his blades against one another.
"Hope ya'll ready for boom, 'cause here comes the THUNDAH!" He called out, striking his blades so hard together that -- with a bit of subtle magical assistance -- a thunderous crack issues forth near the greatest cluster of cultist, shattering eardrums as surely as bones with the explosion of sound.
Action: Casting Shatter at 2nd level over largest group of cultist. Con Save[DC 13] to take half of 14 Thunder.

Kethra runs to keep pace with Tyde, quietly mouthing a "thank you" after seeing him cast Web. She smiles as her eyes crackle with red energy as she tosses a javelin at the same enemy as Rubin (but if that person is dead then, the next one tangled in web.)
Bonus action rage, action to toss a javelin: 23 Damage: 10
Kethra sidesteps and holds her shield in front to block any incoming attacks, in other words moves 25 feet forward to stand directly in front of Tyde to give him half cover.
(Are any of them unarmored?)
Oops, forgot to actually roll initiative so I'm editing it here ^-^ 5

Everyone's attacks land, and Xan's boom . . .
Saves: 13, 14, 8, 2, 7
Hurricane: 21
Skyweaver: 8
Proves surprisingly effective. All of the lesser seeming figures crumple immediately, and the skyweaver crumples to the overwhelming deluge of projectiles variously propelled his way.
The hurricane stands alone, and seems to be quietly pissing himself while he stands his ground.

Xanranzan looked about ready to charge in to finish the job. But although he stumbles a bit, he just barely avoids running headlong into the webbing in the process. "Ooooo Boi! Now that was a close one! But dang shoo, if that don't make this a bit of tricky business." He looks up to the Hurricane and grins. "For most people. Nighty Night, Ya." Xan swipes upward with a blade magically drawing and transforming any dust at the hurricane's feet into a fleeting cloud of sleep powder.
Actionah!: Casting Sleep at 1st level for a pool of 24. (Aimed to affect only the Hurricane)

"Drop the webs then, and we'll get it done." Rubin says, ready to tie this guy up and see where to go next. "I don't think carting him around with us is a good idea though, so how do you plan on dealing with him while we finish searching this place?"
"Ah... Seriously? Ya still think those guys up top.... wha..." This is about a thoroughly flummoxed Xan could say at first in respond to Tyde, before the air got cleared a little on the subject. "I mean, yea, that kinda was the plan 'n all. But, I'm with Rubin on this one." He admits, sheathing his blades once more. "I mean, the only reason I didn't make another air splitter -- aside from not really, uh..." He looks to the bodies, grimaces, and then turned back with an awkward smile. "Well, mainly I was figuring we find out what he knew about any prisoners, and how expansive this place is underground. Maybe even ask plainly if he knew anything 'bout the tower folk. 'cause like, I got a song that'll make sure he can't help but tell the truth 'round me. That way, we don't take him to the top, only to find out the hardway they ain't on the up 'n up, or worst yet, they manage to trick us into handing him over, only for him to go back 'bout his business... ya dig?"

To hit: 13 Damage: 7
To hit: 15 Damage: 7
To hit: 26 Damage: 7 plus 3 from dread ambusher.
(Note, Rubin, that you'd have advantage on all those attacks from Tyde's webs.)
