As the others move towards the man Lilandra notices he is bound.
His hands are tied. She looks around seeing the other body on the ground where Branlinn is headed to trying to judge by Branlinns reaction if the other man is still alive as well.
Lilandra will hold her hands forward with her palms hovering over the wounded man mumble a few words casting Healing Word on the wounded man not bothering to determine if the healing is truly needed. (5 healing to the wounded man, well gues we got the 1 out of the way :) )
Then she will try and untie his hands using a small knife she carries (unless its something that she cant cut with a knife)
Are you alright? What happened? she asks only looking at the wounded man for a second before looking at Branlinn again to see if the other person is alive as well.
As some of you surge forward to help the wounded man the others more cautious take there times to analyse the situation.
Evan the tracks are the same and lead straight in the clearing. There seems to be a patch of upturned earth further along but its to far to distinguish anything.
Lilandra moves forward casting her spell at a stance but keeping an eye for trouble.
The man is unconscious and has taken a severe beating. It is obvious that he has been tortured also.
Has you unbound his hand he slumps forward. And after getting some healing whispers.
"Run. It s a trap."
Ear aching cries of glee and the sounds of bows firing answers him.
Init for everyone.
Those above 12 can act. Goblins are hidden in the wood surrounding you. 30 feet to the edge of the forest from the man.

Those above 12 can act. Goblins are hidden in the wood surrounding you. 30 feet to the edge of the forest from the man.
Standing next to the recently healed man she is the among the first to hear of it and repeats it as she looks around hearing the sound of the creatures. A trap!
The first thing that comes to her mind is to provide cover, she turns to one of the sides of the path they are travelling in the direction that she hears the screaming. She then starts speaking a few words as she waves her hand towards her target May your vision be taken from you! casting Fog Cloud within the treeline. A puff of smoke starts to form about 15ft into the treeline, it quickly swirls around becoming bigger rapidly engulfing a large area (20ft wide circle). (effectivly blinding any goblins coming through that area forcing them to move out of the fog and in plain sight on the path in order to see us or prevent them from making accurate shots from within)
(this would be covering one side of the path but still leave us open on the other side)
Evan draws his rapier and raps it rhythmically against his shield while shouting, "Goblin archers are no match for you, Birel!"
Birel receives a Bardic Inspiration: 1d6 which can be used in the next 10 minutes to add to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. This can be added after seeing the roll but before knowing the outcome.
Evan prepares himself for an anticipated onslaught of arrows. He takes the Dodge action.
The fog covers a large area and screech of surprise and several guttural curses can be heard from within. There vision empided they struggle to make a path forward.
On the other side the creatures burst out of the trees sure to have the heroes in a tight spot.
Birel's arrow clips one sending it back into the trees green icorsih blood running from his grievous wound. The sound of a bell shakes the goblin who grips his head for a second before dropping dead.
Brannlin intercept a rushing goblin with his weapon effectively impaling him. A look of surprise appears on the dead eye creature for a brief instant before dissapezring.
On the fog side arrows fly way off the mark but on the other side several of them find their mark.
(since I m having trouble rolling the dices on my phone. It keeps on closing the thread without savings I ll let you rook each for the attack. Att bonus +2 damage 1d4. You get all hfire at once.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Several goblins appear and rush the party. They have crude knives probably scavenged from previous victims.
One goes for Kalas jumping at him with the weapon raised high. The wicked looking blade dented. Attack: 5 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.. (Problem with dice roller but since it doesn't hit… )
Another goes to attack Brannlin who struggles to free his weapon form the goblin's body. He has two little butcher knives in his hands and they look more poisonous than deadly. Attack: 5 Damage: 0 Con save DC 12 or take 4 as the poison takes effect.
In the back a yellow skinned creature moves with a cane to keep herself upright. She mumbles a few words in a surprisingly clear voice before pointing a finger at Birel. several magical missiles dart from her hand. One hits the string of the bow effectively breaking it, the others slam into Birel for 7.
It is obvious that had the two groups of creatures been able to attack at the same time it would have been more difficult.
OOC: They have moved, you can go ahead and finish your moves for the round and begin another.

Speaking to no one in particular, Evan says, "I'm no expert on giants, but a bound captive is not what I expected."
Evan will try to get a better read on the tracks they've been following -- how many giants, any other creatures, and if so, what kind and how many.
