The Champion claps everyone’s hand, and looks pretty embarrasse. “sorry everyone, that wasn’t on purpose.” He looks thoughtfully at Renzir and pats his bag. “I feel I should add that we took Selachai’s scepter. It’s an item which is clearly cursed, and in need of proper care. I’m not familiar with the isles, however.”
"Next time my good friend, ask for my help and I can do the talking for us. The Raven Queen may have granted you some powerful magics, but she has done little to improve your social skills."
I suppose, says Kenton slowly, that I should add my tale, as it is only in part the same as my colleagues'. I was victim of a sahuagin attack that killed all but one of my crewmates and myself, and was rescued by Lieutenant Commader Voskiir, as these folks were. I am in the employ of Jaxon Brand, searching for the ship of his daughter, one of several that have gone missing. And in that, I think, the scale of the sahuagin becomes clearer - though I cannot be sure, I suspect this sahuagin's attack is part of something larger, something that extends as far as Tal'dorei.

Renzir furiously scribbles down what she has been told and says, "I will pass this information on to Portmaster Fahreed. I am sure he will be willing to reward or compensate you all in some way for your service. I suggest that you take the cursed item to Faendal, he might be able to help you.... get rid of it? Un-curse it? I don't know, but he may be able to help."
Bryn asks "Can I get one of my staff to make aa copy of that?" [Renzir agrees.]
[Unless anyone objects, you all follow Bryn towards the Prawn's Pawn. I'll assume that someone brings up the party changing their minds on potentially doing some shipwreck salvage work.]
Bryn is very excited and says, "We will need to sort out the details when we get back to the shop, but this is very good news. I'm sure it will be a mutually rewarding relationship, especially with capable heroes such as yourselves."
As per this post, The Champion can make a free investigation check when he enters the shop, as something shiny catches his eye.
Given Bryn's trust in you, she will also extend you a line of credit in the store of 1500 gp (for the party, not per person). She will deduct sales from for items sent back (and any coins you choose to send back) via the air elemental and then the remainder would need to be paid off at the start of every month.
Details of the contract she is proposing are in this spoiler for anyone who wants to read through it:
In return for Bryn's part of the arrangement, you would need to explore at least two new shipwrecks each month and she would sell all magical and/or valuable items you find in any shipwreck (except Faendal's) on consignment and take 25% when the items sell. She will then provide you with the remainder (75%) of any items sold when you are next in Brokenbank. The only exception is any item worth less than 100gp which she will outright buy for 75% of the value. You would still get to keep any coins found in shipwrecks. The items that you would be required to send back from the wrecks are any magic items as well as any item worth over 10gp on the wreck explored. You would need to deposit all such items found in those wrecks OR pay "reasonable compensation" for any items kept by members of the party (she is happy to negotiate what that would be prior to the parties signing the contract).
There would need to be a "special contract" signed by all of the party which would bind you all to this arrangement magically for a period of six months, at which time you will be free to renegotiate and/or return the wand and helmets and terminate the agreement. Any month that you do not explore at least two new shipwrecks, you will owe Bryn 200 gp. If you lose or destroy the helmets or wand, you will need to pay for them to be created again and collect the components required (and she warns that will be expensive and difficult).
Those of you that have grown up (or spent a lot of time) on the Menagerie Coast know that there are a lot of shipwrecks in the Lucidian Ocean, so finding two wrecks a month should not be that hard, though getting to them can be quite dangerous.
You can use the wand to transport items you find elsewhere and want to sell via Bryn on consignment, though the contract does not bind you to do so. The upside is that you would only usually get 50% of the item's value selling elsewhere** rather than 75%, the downside is that because it is on consignment you only get the money if Bryn then sells any item (unless it is worth less than 100gp, which she will buy outright).
**An exception is that usually gems and artworks sell at 100% of the value, so you would lose out on those.
After explaining all of this, Bryn says, "I know that this might seem very restrictive and you do not have to agree to perform the work, but it could work out very well for all of our hip-pockets if you do agree."
She indicates that Faendal's arrangement will be different and he will be offering you all an additional reward just to find his (very odd) ship and return a number of items to him, but that he will explain that to you directly.
"I mean, I don't know about you guys, but that deal sounds pretty good to me," Beatrice says, looking up at the rest of the group. "Knowing our luck we'd probably end up near a lot of shipwrecks anyway, so we might as well get paid for it."
You find a polished piece of glass in the trinkets, knick-knacks and souvenirs for 2gp. It doesn't seem that special, but your eye keeps being drawn to it every time you try to look through the rest of the stuff for sale.
"I was under the illusion this would be a one-off job... I suppose two wreckages a month is not too bad, but what if we needed to terminate the contract earlier than the six months? And what exactly is this ... magical binding?"
I'm afraid I don't see a way to sign up to this,Kenton looks unhappily at the contract as he hands it back to Bryn. I am already employed, and on a much more urgent mission than merely scavenging for magic items. Perhaps my investigation will lead me to shipwrecks, and perhaps it will take me far from the sea. How can I say for sure? And Oden's question is a matter of great concern. Magical binding sounds dangerous and... a strange thing to suggest.
Kenton looks at Bryn with obvious suspicion, but backs away from being overtly hostile in case others in the party wish to take up this deal.

(Sorry, there’s a lot of names: do we already know Faendal? Isn’t he a magic shop guy? I don’t remember if we went there or not)

[Yep, he is the magic shop guy. If you are asking about going there last time, the posts are here.]
"Thanks for not jumping to conclusions before hearing all sides of the story, Renzir. We'll try not to cause any more misunderstandings."
[You are all free to leave the guardhouse, it is the one near the docks. You will be able to shop at Hektor's Hammer again as well.]
"Since we're all together now, should we go back with Bryn and discuss what we need to do to keep the helmets?"
Let us do so, Kenton agrees. And we should stick together, lest more surprises come for us this day.
Kenton begins walking back towards the shop with the others.
"We were thinking of going to this ship wreck correct?"
“Yes, but Leave time for Faendal’s so we can see about this gods-awful scepter.”

Bryn then explains that the arrangement would be that you would get to keep the breathing helmets AND Faendal would provide you with a very special wand that he has crafted, both of which are yours to use for at least 6 months. The wand would allow you to summon a small air elemental that would present a chest to you, which could be used to transport magic and high value items you find back to either Bryn or Faendal. The wand can be used every 4 days and can only be used to transport items to Bryn or Faendal.
Given Bryn's trust in you, she will also extend you a line of credit in the store of 1500 gp (for the party, not per person).
