"Well this is cozy," Thorin says as he tries to find somewhere comfortable to sit. "Seeing as we're here fer a bit, maybe a round of introductions and what yer good at in a fight? It might be good ta know before we get in a scrap. I can start off fer ya. Thorin's the name. Bit of a wanderer, but am pretty good with me axe here and hittin' with me fists. Tikea, what is it that you do?"

"I'm Abzerilan. I was a soldier in an army the next continent over. A while after fighting in a war, my home was destroyed and my wife was killed." Abzerilan says in crestfallen tone, gripping his amulet, "However, my daughter went missing. An old war buddy told me he spotted her somewhere on Inigus. This amulet here, is my inspiration to come find her and to take out whoever's to blame."
Thorin is able to realize that the Goblin from the corner of the tavern, Arkrius, is no longer with them. In fact, he can't remember seeing him walking to the Vaults with them either.

"Hey, hang on a tankard! Has anyone seen the goblin? I canno' remember seein' him since the bar." Thorin returns to the conversation after his outburst though, "Sorry 'bout that. An' I'm sorry to hear 'bout yer family too, Azberilan. Seems we have some dark pasts amongst us. Well, if I can offer my fists to help find yer daughter, I'd be happy ta help. Who's next?"

"Though I'd prefer to not have to fight at all. My primary skills lie in music and storytelling, though I doubt that those particular skills will be on display tonight."

At Thorin's invitation, Grix shares a little of his past "Well, where to begin and what to say. I grew up in Whitehelm, one of the costal towns here in Inigus. My father is a member of the local militia and I had recently joined as well and would be there now, but for the need to leave town and family behind. I don't really know why, but I felt that I would put them all in danger by staying. Since leaving, I have felt a guiding hand leading me here, and now that I am around I find myself at a loss as to know why. So I am here looking for answers to a mystery that I do not pretend to understand.....and that's me"
The first few hours progress without trouble. Sometimes the torchlight casts strange shadows on the wall that make you worry for a second, but they quickly pass. At one particular point, though, a strange noise, almost like a high-pitched howling or screeching can be heard echoing through Vaults.

Thorin will head off with the others, trying to be stealthy as a semi-drunk dwarf can be (Stealth check: 18), but all the while, keeping an eye out for anything in the shadows (Perception check: 10).
As he moves down the corridors Abzerian grips his amulet and utters "Guide us, Bahamut."
(Activating Divine sense)
Divine sense:
The presence of strong evil registers on your senses like a noxious odor, and powerful good rings like heavenly music in your ears. As an action, you can open your awareness to detect such forces. Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 feet of you that is not behind total cover. You know the type (celestial, fiend, or undead) of any being whose presence you sense, but not its identity (the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich, for instance). Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the hallow spell.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to 1 + your Charisma modifier. When you finish a long rest, you regain all expended uses.
As you move through the Vaults, the noises get louder. Some of the guards you pass look at you funny. You're not sure if they can't hear the same noises as you or if they just think you're crazy or weird.
(Results of Abzerilan's Divine Sense):
You do not detect any celestials, fiends, or undead, but you do detect some consecrated and a few desecrated items. These items are simply artifacts in the vaults, though.

It appears the noise came from an area further back in the Vaults. The screech continues, and so it could be followed to its source.
