Nimue looks at Dusty with a bit of bewilderment. She takes a breath to in preparation to speak, but pauses right before and exhales. She then takes a quick breath and says in a monotone to Dusty "Well, as long as your healing abilities are up to par, this 'ranger' will have you."
Leovold watchs next to Korvis as the ridiculous actions of the stumped man unfold. Finally as Nimue beckons them he says, "yes, that is a much better way to gather allies than comparing them to stacked shit. I'll be expecting you to treat prospective comrades better if we are really going to be friends Dusty. "He brushes himself off before looking in the dirction of the Nimue. "While i wasn't planning on getting started on work quite yet I suppose I could have Korvis and Vitna take care of the business with the mayor and come find me when I'm needed as the best time to begin solving problems is now. Those prospectors certainly will not save themselves."
”maybe i was mistaken about you old man!” the goliath says now walking alongside dusty with a smile. “allow me to join you? i see now. youre not just oldman... youre wise old man.”
the goliath leans in close, “my people, we dont have many wise men... no one lives long enough!” *HaHaHaHa*
“I am Kresh “FaceBreaker” Zhan-gin. Monk of the Zhan-gin monastery. We all kill dragon together, Yes?”
While not yet fully acquainted, the four adventurers begin to make their way southwest to the Dwarven Excavation site. After a 10 mile hike in the cool weather through grassy plains, they reach the entrance within a few hours.
The canyon's rocky walls rise to a height of eighty feet. At the end of the canyon, a twenty-foot-high wall of black stone has a broken gate carved into it, with one stone door hanging precariously by a hinge and the other door missing. Beyond this open gate, in the shadow of a great mountain to the east, lies a ruined settlement. All is quiet.
”Now to be fair baby we weren’t comrades yet! I would never compare my partners to a big pile of dookie dook. Not unless they did something real real dumb but then we wouldn’t be partners anymore.”
Dusty looks at the Ruined settlement ahead.
”Ya’ll hear that? Me neither. It’s too quiet for a dwarven settlement. Dusty doesn’t like it. Now y’all sit back an relax for a minute while Dusty fixes you up.”
Dusty pulls out a strip of white linen cloth and holds it toward the sky and points it at this three companions as he casts Aid. The three of them maximum hitpoints increase by 5 for the next 8 hours!
Nimue turns to Dusty after his spell and says "Hm. An adequate blessing. Hopefully it is more than just a parlor trick." She then flings open her black robe and places her quarterstaff in the dirt. She twirls her hand around the quarterstaff and murmurs a few inaudible words. A thin, black wispy substance briefly encompasses her before fading to be invisible." (Mage Armor)
She then turns to her left shoulder and says "Numquam, eyes around." She then turns to her right shoulder and says "Magis, get me eyes from above but be careful.."
Magis clicks his beak leans forward off of Nimue's shoulder. It spreads its wings and takes flight. It flies about 10 feet up in the air before it vanishes from sight and turns invisible.
Nimue turns to her group and says "I will see what Magis sees and relay his eyes to you. But don't think that I will be too distracted and try to use this chance do anything you will regret!" Nimue says making a side glance at Kresh.

Magis (flying invisible above scouting the settlement): 15
Flying high into the air, Magis sees the remains of a ruined settlement. Outlines of stone buildings are visible as collapsed walls, and rubble that seems to have been cleared from an avalanche line the canyon borders. It appears as if a campfire was recently used. Towards the back of the former-settlement, he can see a courtyard and temple facade.
A partially collapsed, ten-foot-high wall separates this courtyard from the settlement west of it. Three heaps of rubble are piled high in this area. Hewn from the canyon's back wall, a thirty-foot-high temple facade features steps rising to a stone platform. Cut into this facade is a ten-foot-high open doorway flanked by crumbling, life-sized granite statues of armored dwarves. Evil grins can be seen on their weatherworn faces. Two dwarves appear to be eating in the courtyard.

Nimue relays the information completely to her party and says "Well seems like we found our dwarves.. Interesting that they are out of their cave and seem to not know about the Dragon."
In her thoughts she speaks to Magis "Get close and see if they are talking about anything."
If possible Magis will try to perch somewhere in ear shot range which depends on the rumble and if there is any other noise such as wind that would hinder it but probably around 30 feet away. He will keep his invisibility active to try and stay out of sight.
Perception: 16
Nimue listens through Magis senses and hears the dwarves before telling Magis "Good work Magis. Keep track of them and notify me of they move. We will speak to them directly as a group."
She turns back to the party and says "Well what are we waiting for??"

Leovold laughs, " I suppose I remember officers of mine that spoke in your manner. " As you cast aid. " The power of your faith certainly speaks for itself."
Leovold struggles with whether or not he has been too trusting to run off at the drop of a hat with this group. He looks down and shakes his head before pulling out a long sword and donning his shining shield bearing the roaring head of a lion. Leovold looks at the ruins as they approach for any signs of life.

" I apologize that my chainmail will probably not allow us to approach quietly, but I do appreciate your attempts to scout ahead."
A low roar escapes as he stretches for battle.
" Oh, it has been too long since I felt the pulse of battle. My heart yearns for it. I was not cut out for these long days of paperwork."
"Did I hear you say there is combat ahead?" Leovold roars and charges off ahead. "Dwarves where are you he roars out! We have come to help! That dragon shall not have you while I am here!"
As the party makes their way through the ruins, voices from two dwarves can be heard in the courtyard. They are speaking their native dwarvish and seem to be having a merry time while eating lunch.
When Leovold appears just outside the courtyard, one of the dwarves abruptly ends his laughter and shouts, "Jae mot halag, en skeggorklar!!!" and drops his half-eaten sandwich to the ground. His companion looks at the sandwich and says, "Hjo, gotek waste denthar sandwich..." before looking up and shouting, "JAE MOT HALAG, EN SKEGGORKLAR!!!" with eyes wide open in absolute panic.
"Hello there, Leovold responds in dwarvish we have come to help your people. I am Sir Leovold von Catlan."
Leovold looks quizzically at the rest of the group for a second his face showing confusion.
" Wait am I the only one who speaks dwarvish here? What were you going to do without me?" He says in common. He chuckles once more.
" They simply said, :Oh, my god! A lion!!! Hey, don't waste that sandwich. OH MY GOD! A LION!!!! I don't think they have seen my kind before. I was fairly surprised how well you took my form." He seems to be barely containing another chuckle.
He once again addresses the dwarves in dwarvish. " Yes I apologize if my form frightened you, I'm here from the nearby town to warn you of a serious matter." He does his best to calm them down and translate between the two parties if the dwarves do not switch to common.
Nimue laughs and says under her breath "If they were scared of him " she gestures with a flick of her hair "I imagine they will soil themselves when we tell them about what has been flying around here."
She then speaks to Magis telepathically and says "To me but stay hidden."

Dusty hops up and down rattling his chain mail.
”You’re not alone in the noisy department.”
Dusty will take formation behind Leovold!
"Always good to have a man of the mail accompanying any group. Keeps them honest." He gives a deep rumbling laugh.
Nimue says "Well I'll let you combat craving meat heads lead the way then." She then gets behind Dusty keeping Numquam on alert.
"Did I hear you say there is combat ahead?" Leovold roars and charges off ahead. "Dwarves where are you he roars out! We have come to help! That dragon shall not have you while I am here!"
Facebreaker turns to nimue with a mocking grin
“HAHAHA Look at oldman and lion, so eager for fight...Dragon not even here.”
he shakes his head as he walks with nimue
" I was simply informed by a woman with a bird's eye view that there might be combat ahead!" Leovold calls back before issuing another rumbling laugh.
