Ondrej turns and looks over the other patrons as they join the conversation. "You all are after adventure too? I s'pose you can tag along with me so long as there's enough action to go round. Been after this kind of thing for weeks now."
He extends an enormous hand to whoever is closest. "I am Stormbringer, but since you folk down here in the lowlands like to use short names you can call me Ondrej. It will be good to have some company along, more eyes to watch the show I put on"he says with a grin.
He looks over and notices Lar-Dun watching the conversation in silence. "What about you, friend? Will you come watch the show?"
Summer already felt a small bond with her newfound companions. They were keen to travel together, which was something that put her at ease. 'Eager allies keep each other alive' her mother used to say. Summer nodded at Arisys and the dragonborn as well. She also noticed what looked to be a Goliath standing close by.
"I am Lady Summer of House Halo. Daughter of Severine and Autumn Red. I am but a curious soul eager for adventure and wonderment. I'm hoping my talents may find some use for you all?"

Lar-Dun perks up at being noticed. The Goliath is very friendly, and Lar-Dun smiles for a second before realizing that he has no idea of the destructive potential Lar-Dun possesses. But nothing ventured is nothing gained, so Lar-Dun decides to take a calculated risk.
"Yeah, I'll come. But I won't just be watching, I'll be stealing the spotlight from you." He says jokingly as he approaches the group.

Arisys looks to each of her new friends individually, she can't help but smile at this odd ball group of company, Fharlanghn would be pleased. "Did I hear talk of a magic apple? Do we know anything about it?" She says. Arisys's excitement turns to interest as she tries to recall reading anything about magic apples.
"Apparently this drunkard has a benefactor that wishes to acquire some magic apple. The gold sounds good, but I'm curious as to who this benefactor is. I'd prefer not to stick my neck out for a swindle." Genken wipes something off his shoulder, and sits once more on his stool.
"I think I heard mention of a down payment. I'm interested in why this person would want such an item and be willing to pay so much for it. What does it do?" Arisys thinks for a moment, with so little details, her mind wanders to all sorts of crazy ideas. "Maybe it has the power to feed a family on the brink of starvation?" Suddenly, reminded of her past life, her stomach growls. She turns to the barkeep and orders a tiny meal of meat and cheeses.
Ooc: Is it evening or daytime? Has the drunkard left? Also are we allowed to scheme a little? If so, I put in a spoiler, if not let me know and I will edit it out.
If we see the drunkard leaving, someone could follow him. He said he was going to try to ensure a downpayment, so he must communicate with his benefactor sometime this evening?

Ondrej's smile widens "That so? Well you can try" he chuckles as he sizes up the approaching human.
OOC: I don't think Ondrej is in a position to privately speak to the rest of the party, I don't want to blow the subterfuge. By all means the high CHA players should do some persuading, but Ondrej doesn't care who the benefactor is. He's just eager to get going on some real work.
Summer rubs her chin, wondering how they could handle the situation. She had a natural ability to get people to open up to her. Maybe this required a diplomatic approach. "I could try to speak with him," she said under her breath, but loud enough for someone next to her to hear her.
Summer has a high charisma and is proficient in CHA skills.

It's fairly late in the evening. The drunkard is still there, sitting at a nearby table and seemingly waiting for your response. You all are welcome to scheme if you'd like.
Arisys less concerned with the competitive nature of the Goliath and the human man, heard Summer's idea of speaking to the drunkard. "I think you should talk to him, Summer. I like the idea of having more information before running straight into a dangerous location. Caution before Chaos. But ultimately, I'm intrigued with this artifact and I think we should accept the mission. Let's just find out what we can."
If Summer approaches the drunkard's table, Arisys will accompany her bringing her meal of meat and cheese and climb up in the booth across from the man.
Ooc: Sorry I had to put this in a different post, my previous one wouldn't change back from bold to normal text.

"I have news for you friend, I don't 'try' things. I succeed." Lar-Dun replies jokingly. "Or I die trying." He adds, more seriously. He warms up on the inside as he finally can have interaction with others again, but he stays alert to if he feels any influence from his patron.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Summer walked up to the table where the drunkard sat with a warm smile in her face. She took a seat and gestured for everyone to keep a respectful distance to make sure the man didn't feel overwhelmed.
"Excuse me sir," she greeted in a pleasant tone. "My companions and I would like to inquire about some background information in regards to this magic apple we've heard about. More specifically its magical properties."

The man smiles, taking the questions as a sign that you're interested in his offer. "Well, it's said tha' once every summer, a single apple grows in a location deep underground called the Twilight Grove. An' like I told your goliath friend o'er there, whoever eats it is cured of any disease or ailment that's affectin' them."
Summer nodded slightly and started to take mental notes. She needed to buy a new book to put her notes in, and this information about a magic apple grown once a summer (no pun) deserved to be her first entry.
"So I take it this Twilight Grove is reached via that well over there?"
