"No, no. You'd be crazy to go down there. Few ever return." He shakes his head, looking towards the well for a moment before turning his attention back to Summer. "The Grove is located a few day's travel from 'ere, in Bissel. My sponsor's willin' to provide transportation for the lot of ya to Oakhurst, the nearest town."
With all this new Intel, Arisys's mind fills with thousands more questions, 'Why would an apple grow only once a year?' 'Is there enough sunlight to grow fruit in a place called the Twilight Grove?' 'Does it truly cure any ailment?' Arisys could hardly contain her excitement, she fidgets in the spot near the table where Summer asked them to wait. It is near enough to hear the conversation but she doesn't dare interject for fear of scaring the man into silence.
Genken chuckles, "That says to me your sponsor is not the best in health. Why not call upon one of the nearby temples? I'm happy enough to travel to Bissel, but perhaps your... sponsor... might provide some incentive upon our initial arrival? After all, if anyone were to go wandering off to this Twilight Grove, supplies would be needed."
Summer rubs her chin, nodding in agreement with Genken. She remembers her parents telling her about sponsors and how the best ones always made sure the party was well outfitted before setting out on an adventure. It wasn't mandatory, but Summer would feel more secure if this benefactor had their back.
"My companion makes sense. We want to help, but we also want to make sure that we're well outfitted for this mission. Something tells me that this apple picking trip is much more than it seems."

Genken laughs. "Gold speaks loud enough, as I'm sure you're well aware." He pretends to think intently for a moment before acting like the idea just struck him. "How about a down payment on the job? Perhaps upon our arrival in Oakhurst? Say... half there, then the remainder on delivery?"
"Like I said, it's no' me you have to convince. I'll speak wi' my benefactor tonight, though I suspect he'll be more than happy to provide tha' for ya."
Summer nods and bows before the man. She was feeling more confident about this group as time went on.
"Thank you for your time, good sir," she said and left the table to join her other newfound allies. "We might get some assistance with travel and supplies."

"That is most excellent!" Arisys says as Summer comes back to the group. "It is dark, do you all have rooms? I've been here for a few days already, so I have a modest room upstairs. There might be space for one more for the night." She yawns thinking about the comfortable bed upstairs, although she could fall asleep in one of the booths downstairs and it wouldn't bother her any.
(Ooc: Feel free to finish up any conversations, I don't want to cut anyone's night off early)
"I'm afraid I can't tell you that." He shakes his head at Genken. "Well, I should ge' goin. I'll meet ya here tomorrow mornin'." With that, he stands and begins weaving his way through the crowds towards the door.
Lar-Dun laughs a bit at the news delivered by Summer. "Grand! This will be fun, I think!" He exclaims. He grows a bit sullen at the mention of rooms for the night. "I don't think that would be a good idea for me..." He says.

Summer waved at those who were leaving for the night and turned back to Arisys. "If it's not too much of a bother, I'd like to take you up on your offer. I arrived in town today and didn't get a chance to find any lodging for the night. I might be used to comfort, but I assure you, I used to fall asleep in my family's stables quite often."

The server, a young half-elf man, nods at Ondrej's request and scurries off to some back room. A minute later, he returns. "Damian has arranged for you all to stay the night." He sets four keys on the table, each attached to a wooden key chain with an engraved room number. He then turns to Arisys. "I've been told you already have a room here. And, um, good luck." He smiles, but there's a strange, unidentifiable sadness in his eyes. Quickly, he turns and disappears into the crowd, returning to his duties.
Genken flicks his keys up into the air and catches them with a quick hand mid-flight. "Well my new... companions. It seems we are to make an evening of it and rejoin in the morning. While I am a little more accustomed to nicer quarters, these will do. They are free after all," he chuckles to himself, "It's a pity we couldn't squeeze more out of our drunken informant, but oh well." He smiles wistfully and finds a seat once again to watch the various clientele around the bar.
Summer took the key and stretches for a moment. It was nice of this Damian to provide shelter, especially since tomorrow was going to be a long day. Summer turned to everyone and waved.
"I guess I'll be retiring in my own room then. Sweet dreams everyone, and be safe."
Even though she didn't mean it in that context, her last few words sounded like a warning more than a simple well wish. Without delay, Summer collected her things and made her way to her room.

Lar-Dun cautiously takes his room key, then proceeds to his room, eager to get to sleep before anything bad potentially happens. "Listen here, demon. I'd rather you don't do anything here tonight. I rather like these people and don't need you screwing things up." He mutters to himself as he goes up the staircase, though he hopes the message reaches his patron.

Ondrej slides a tankard of ale toward Lar-Dun. "Relax, friend. Tonight we drink, tomorrow we go to work" he says with a smile.
Ondrej looks for a server and asks about a room for the evening. The one with the largest bed they have.
Lar-Dun takes the mug, pausing for a moment. He then sighs, taking a big drink, and then smiles. "Very well, rest tonight, and adventure tomorrow."
