Arisys will go upstairs to her room, but before sleeping, she will pull out her notebook and record the start of her new adventure. She will write about her meeting her companions and about the magical apple they have been sent to retrieve. She also does a quick prayer to Fharlanghn thanking him for his guidance.
You all retire to your rooms, and find them suitably comfortable. The next morning, you return downstairs to find the tavern much quieter than it was the previous night. There are still a fair number of patrons, and a quiet buzz of conversation fills the room. Damian, the man from last night, sits alone at a large table, appearing significantly less drunk now. A tray of food rests in the center of the table, from which he has served himself a plate. When he sees you coming downstairs, he waves a hand for you to come join him.
Seeing the man motion for her to join him, Arisys will saunter over to the table with a lightness to her step (almost skipping). It is clear to the others that she is eager to get to adventuring again. "Good morning" she says. "I trust you slept well." She will help herself to a plate of food. Taking a few bites, she eats quite slowly, savoring each and every bite. "This is delicious. Thank you very much for the food."
Summer awakened and took her time getting dressed. She wanted to make a good first impression for her first day as a full-fledged adventurer. She reminded herself to pick up a blank book before heading out. There were some notes she wanted to take for this "Adventurer's Guide" she was developing in her head. Maybe after breakfast, she would check the market with haste. Summer made her way downstairs where she saw Arisys and Damian enjoying a well-cooked meal.
"Morning my companions!" she greeted as she took a plate and sat down. "I hope everyone slept well?"

Genken awakens and makes his way over the group and Damian. He takes a little food and leans against a pole or wall near the table. "So any news from our... benefactor, good sir?" he purrs.
Ondrej emerges from his room with all of his weapons and gear strapped to his back, ready to hit the road. He nods at those who have already awakened, grabs a plate and heaps a mound of food onto it. He looks around for a sturdy chair, pulls it over and sits at the table without a word.
Lar-Dun wakes disheveled and tired, having not gotten very good sleep. He puts the thoughts and dreams from last night aside, as today is a new day and he has a purpose. He heads downstairs, doing his best to straighten his hair and fix his clothing, armor and gear. He sighs with relief when he sees the food, and makes a balanced plate, making sure to take fruits, vegetables, dry foods, and meats (if all are available). "Got to have a well balanced plate." He says, pulling up a chair next to Ondrej. He notes that the Goliath seems somber this morning, in contrast to how he was last night.

"Glad to see you all awake," Damian says with a smile once the entire group has arrived. "I've spoken with my sponsor, and he's agreed to provide part of the reward in advance. Fifty gold each." Reaching into his satchel, he retrieves five small leather pouches and places them on the table. "Your ride won't be here for two hours or so, so you have time to make any necessary preparations."
Ondrej's shoulders sag a bit at the mention of the wait. He's clearly itching to get going, but even with the wait for the ride he feels he's still closer to real action than he has been since the start of his jourbey.
He finishes scarfing down his food and grabs one of the sacks of coin from the table. He stands up and forces a wide smile. "Right then, another ale it is. Anyone else?"
Lar-Dun takes a pouch, throwing it in his backpack. "I think I'd like to head to the market actually. Tell me, Damian, what can we expect to encounter? Traps, monsters, enemies?" He asks, wanting to know what they will encounter so he can best prepare to fight it.

"Well, there will definitely be traps. The Grove sits deep within the abandoned shrine of an ancient cult who were very protective of their secrets," Damian explains. "And it's been quite some time since anyone was down there. I wouldn't be surprised if a few monsters have taken up residence."
Arisys's eyes bulge a little at the sack of coin crossing the table and the amount of coin contained within. "I, too, would like to visit the market before leaving. I want to pick up a book for the road and maybe a few other supplies." To Damian she asks, "Where are we to travel from Oakhurst? You mentioned Bissell. Where is Bissell from Oakhurst? And from there how do we get to the Twilight Grove? Is there anything we should know before we enter the Grove?" She stops herself before overwhelming Damian.
"Bissell is the general region, and Oakhurst is a town in it. Once you arrive in Oakhurst, ask for directions to the Old Road. Travel down that for about seven miles and you'll pass by a large ravine, can't miss it. The Twilight Grove is located within." Damian answers patiently, chuckling at her enthusiasm.
"Oh, thank you sir! It's good to have a general idea of where one's headed. Shall we meet back here in a couple hours?" Arisys asks anxiously awaiting hitting the road. She taps her feet against the booth while the others finish up breakfast making a mental list of the supplies she would like to pick up in town.
Genken bounces the coin pouch in his hand a couple of times before pocketing it. "Thank your benefactor for me," he chuckles, "A couple of hours seems fine enough to me. Don't get into too much trouble until then."
"Right then," Damian says decisively, pushing his chair back and standing. "I've got a couple of errands to run myself, but I'll see you all back here in two hours."
Summer nodded and turned her attention to everyone else. "It looks like we should get what we need. I have a couple of items I want to procure from the market. See you soon!" The young bard hastily made her way from the table after finishing her meal and made her way for the market.
