Once that is squared away, Kaemgen will catch up with those seeking directions and/or a map. He is no cartographer but he is fairly well acquainted with maps and directions and could at least make something more than chicken scratch if he tried to draw out what someone explained. ((Assuming so anyway, since from some nobility…not assuming it’d be perfect or pretty though.))
Without saying anything, Kaemgen will fall into step with the half-elf Hansel. To Kaemgen’s thinking they’d be the beast to take the lead position for the… company. At least for now.

So be it. To the Miner's Exchange! Hansel says with an almost-shout. Then more softly he adds: I did not expect to be saying that when I arrived in town today.
Hansel asks for a brief description of Halia from Toblen before he leaves with the others. Before entering the exchange, Hansel takes a moment to check his reflection in his shield, fix his hair, check his teeth, brush his eyebrows, straighten his clothes and freshen up his perfume. Then with a big smile (and a little help from Prestidigitation to add a hint of a ray of sunshine and a small breeze to highlight his hair) he enters the mining office and says:
If there is no-one in sight that matches the description, Hansel first says: I'm told there are gold and gems to be found in these hills, but that the most lustrous jewel is none other than Halia Thornton. Where might I find said jewel that I may behold this treasure for myself?
If/when Halia is present, Hansel says: Hark! I depart the sunlight only to have my eyes more dazzled than before. You must be Halia, for the description that I could scarce believe now proves to be severely understated. Truly, you wear the lips of Sune! If I may be so bold as to ask your favor, fair Halia, we have a noble quest that I fear will fail without your gracious aid.
Persuasion (with advantage): 17
(If she truly is an ugly old crone, then I guess it will have to be Deception, which reduces the result by 2)
Mr.Dark sits down on a stump just outside the miner's exchange, pulls a crossbow bolt out of his bandolier, and begins sharpening its tip on a wetstone while whistling quietly to himself. He glances around the street surreptitiously as he does so, keeping an eye out for crows and cloaked men. Once in a while, when done, he puts the crossbow bolt back in the bandolier, and pulls out another to check its tip and sharpen where needed.

Kaemgen crowds the doorway and chuckles at the over the top rhetoric of Hansel and then nods a bit at the more down to earth tone of Auric. "I see we should be wearing our tall boots," he says under his breath to nobody in particular.
"Ahh Halia Thornton." Toblen gives Hansel a hearty chuckle from his innocent ask. "She's hard one to miss. Tall, short blonde hair. Always finely dressed with well cut jewels." As one could expect from a proprietor dealing with the weighing, measuring and paying out of miner's valuables. His eyes would watch the lad fix himself up as he continued. "She's a sharp one with a great sense of business." He'd nod sending you off in the direction of the establishment once the Cleric finished primping himself.
Miner's Exchange
Halia Thornton
At first the area would appear empty to Hansel as he struts in with confidence, key comments and companions. From behind the counter a maiden in a long dark green gown would stand from reaching for something low. She'd turn around to look at you all with an armful of scrolls held at her hip and glance down at you through elegant reading spectacles. With her free hand she'd pull them free from her face, resting an arm of her glasses against her lip for a moment before hooking them on the front of her vneck.
Halia lent forward to reach towards Hansel as he boldly asked for an immediate favour. She'd run a finger up his neck and trace his jawline. "And who might you be, Sunshine?" Her lips would pull into a warm smile to match his energy. Her eyes would flicker towards the deeper voice revealing themselves from beneath their hood. Grey hues dilate and brighten even further as they'd fall over golden scales. Slender hands would let go of Hansel.
Placing the scrolls on the counter, Halia steps out from behind the counter to prowl. "Heroes come to answer the call?" She'd circle around the half-elf with another head to toe glance prior to making her way to the dragonborn. "And how may I address you?" Finding herself before him, she bring her hand to her face thoughtfully as her eyes studied him. It was then another comes forth. The blonde would lean back to look at the man in the doorway, and with a pop of her brow she'd put on a wry smile. "Hmm..." Her boots would click on the floor with calculated steps, backing her towards the counter. Placing both hands ontop of it, she'd pull herself up onto the counter and cross her leg over the other. "Gentlemen, I believe we can come to a mutual agreement."
Success! Pass DC15: You’re able to convince Halia to provide you with a beautiful map of the area, including the locations of the dwarven ruins, the gnomish caves, the stone windmill and Conyberry.
