Brunella, side by side with Gertrude and Irommek, methodically dispatch the rest of the minotaur skeletons. They work now as a team, with Gertrude naturally shielding the smaller Brunella, who then uses the cover to make powerful attacks safely. They have become trained as one, working together like a finely trained military force. Each using their strength to enhance the others.
Once the darkroom is cleared of dust and bones, it is rather easy to spot a secret passage in one of the smaller rooms where the minotaur skeletons came from.
As Kurma cautiously follows the secret passage, a cough is heard from the small room.
A feline cough.
The room contains a wooden cabinet with a numbered dial at its top with two ornate metal spokes. Beneath the dial, a pendulum swings inside an open compartment. An egg-shaped stone adorns the pendulum's tip.
A there, against the eastern wall, Bag of Nails lies. Older, much older than he already was hours ago. "Finally, you c...ame, my fr....iends. I fina...lly found... it. The stone! The Navel of the M..oon." The words come out of the old Tabaxi very slowly and with evident difficult, even more so when he tries to point the finger at the egg-shaped jewel. Despite the apparent age, he seems saner than he ever was before.
“Bag of Nails? What happened to you.” Seeing he’s trying to point out the jewel Isabella will try to recall any historical event or meaning behind it.
History: 23
Said to be carved from a chunk of the moon, this polished egg-shaped stone was given as a gift by the ruling syl-pasha of Calimport to his sailor daughter. It is said that anyone who holds the stone can always find the way home to his or her loved ones.
Kurma is inspecting the Tabaxi. *Is Bag of Nail magically aged?* Any signs of magical trap around ?
Kurma will cast Detect Magic as a ritual if enough time
Bag of Nails is definitely aged in a matter of hours. He was already an old tabaxi when the adventurers encountered him in Omu, but now he is the equivalent of a 90 years old human, with the fur almost completely turned to white, claws and teeth very fragile memory of their former selves.
As Kurma begins the ritual, Bag of Nails speaks again.
"Do n...to waste ti...me. The clock! When it... marks the h...our, time pass..es, and o...ly regrets re...main."
The clock currently marks 42 minutes past the hour.
Isabella easily finds that the pendulum is protected by some invisible barrier. It seems harmless, with no trap around, and can be inspected more by touch.
Brunella is moved by Bag of Nail's love for his son. Perhaps because she never knew her birth parents, and was raised by a tribe, but this is something that touches her. This idea that someone would care for another so much, that they would be willing to die. She holds the tabaxi's hand. "I promise." Bag of Nails can tell that Brunella's simple words carry more weight of intent than the fanciest of diplomats and most exotic speeches.
"It seems to reverse, let's just give him some time. Meanwhile let's check this sarcophagus."
Kurma approaches and insert the red key when the sarcophagus shines in red light. "Be ready my friends, this place is full of nasty surprises"
The sarcophagus opens up. It is filled with salt.
For Kurma Only:
You feel able to harness a weird and sinister power:
Charm of the ghoul. This charm allows you to use an action to eat a mouthful of flesh from a humanoid that has been dead no longer than 1 day. When you do, you regain 3d8 + 3 hit points. Once used three times, the charm goes away.

Nodding to Kurma, Irommek readies his hammer and squints at the sarcophagus, ready for what might jump out at them.
The sarcophagus opens up. It is filled with salt.
