"I'm unscathed, but I'm very interested in this undead presence that is somewhere behind this hole in the wall. Should we investigate after we are rested up?"
Seeing an opportunity to contribute something to the group's efforts, Gotur speaks up. "Hold on guys, I can help with that."
He holds his staff in the crook of his arm, makes a few gestures then grasps the staff and taps it on the ground as he completes the spell. A spray of white flowers rapidly emerges before shriveling a moment before the fruit starts to swell, ripening into a cluster of orange berries that he plucks off the staff, the twig it grew from retreating into the wood.
"Here you go, the juice is healing, if you eat the berry, it will help heal you a bit, and packs a whole day's worth of food in that one bite!"
He'll distribute his goodberries to whoever needs them, then makes sure everyone has one extra.

Venovar will lead the party into this hole in the wall(if everybody is ready). "I'll lead. I have a keen eye for danger, and a way to impale it." he says as he points to his halberd. Venovar will make a Perception check once they are all through the hole in the wall.
Thorvin, you feel your magical healing energies flow through your own body. +7 hp
Alton, you determine from looking at the barrels that none have been damaged, although there is rat blood spattered on most of them. The floor is damaged in parts though. From Thorvin's warhammer and Venovar's halberd, and also Gotur's staff.
Gotur, you create the beautiful little fruits just as you've described. (I assume you created 10, yes? As you give them away and as players eat them, please everyone if possible keep track. It seems you guys are all just like me in that you keep track of everything on the character sheets and this type of stuff which is awesome, so I am sure all will be good.)
Venovar leads the party through the hole in the wall and out into a corridor... utilizing that NAT20 perception roll:
Through the hole in the wall you can see a dusty stone corridor, its floor lying around a foot below that of the cellar in which you all stand. Over to the left you can see the start of a staircase buried in collapsed masonry, earth and rubble that block the way. It is completely impassible. To the right the passage heads around a corner. On the far east wall before the corner you can see something glowing on the wall. It is glowing writing on a plaque in clear gold script, in common. It reads:
"Deathbreaks with stirring air, As sun shines down on new day fair."
"Midday blaze bakes earth and grass, The farmer waits for heat to pass."
"Evening cool brings water, wine, Drink and laughter passing time."
"Night sees shining, roaring fire, as wood and coals burn on the pyre"
The passageway continues north and ends with two doorways, one heading left and the other straight on, both closed.
In front of the doors is a 20 ft. section of floor covered in a mosaic that depicts a scene (illustrated below). It shows the sun, the sky, a hillside and a river. There are four 5 ft. ‘panels’, each showing the scene at a different time of day.
You also notice two halves of a giant rat cut perfectly across the first panel.
((Yes, made the full 10. By the numbers reported in the chat, two folks were down a total of 6, so that leaves 4 remaining, enough for each of us to have one for emergencies.))
"Anyone else think the first word of that poem seems out of place?"

Venovar describes everything he sees to the party as he put out my hand as if to stop them from moving further.
"Based on that first stanza, I feel like there could be a trap here, but I am not sure. I am personally not very good at looking for traps or the sort, but maybe one of you would be better at doing it than me."
OOC: With my Perception check, do I find any traps? Also, who is good at investigation? I have -1.
Vendovar, your initial perception check gave you basically everything there is to know about the hallway and mosaic without actually telling you that it is in fact a trap, or how it might work, etc. It also gave you a general idea as to the complete size of the dungeon itself.
Gotur, you notice faint rat tracks along all of the 3 north-most mosaic panels (the ones with the sun up, the sun setting, and the fire). There are no tracks on the panel with the blood and cut rat.
Alton, after your investigation of the mosaic, you can determine that it is indeed a trap. Specifically, the 5 ft panel that has the cut in half rat on it. It would seem that it is a trap which involves some kind of blade, but you aren't 100% sure how it exactly works, or where the blade comes from. But it's definitely a trap. The other panels don't seem to be rigged, you think.
Thorvin, its not as obvious to you as it is to Alton that this mosaic likely is some type of trap, but you're able to deduce that someone took great care in the creation of this as it is quite intricately designed.
Alton, while you didn't fully understand the trap initially (14 investigation), with a bit of time and effort, along with your Thief's Tools check, you are able to deduce that this is a simple pressure plate trap. It opens a small slit in the floor. When pressure is applied to the plate, the blade shoots upwards.
*click* You're able to disarm the pressure plate. So, now anyone can step on that 5ft section of the mosaic and the blade will not come up.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(OOC)- Just realized that each stanza of the poem corresponds with a mosaic tile.
Not sure if Alton will have realized this too, but if he does he will point that out to the rest of the group. “Maybe the stanzas hold clues to what the other mosaic traps are,” he’ll say.
Then if allowed, one more investigation check to see if Alton can see anymore traps on the mosaics.
Gotur looks around a bit sheepishly, having not contributed to the fight in any meaningful way. "Well done lads... how hurt is everyone?"
"I can't do anything to clean up the blood, but Alton, let me know if any of the barrels got damaged."
