Nephris chuckles awkwardly as Katharine and Storm go back and forth about breaking the door down. He too, takes a few steps back just in case the door is actually trapped as well.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nephris laughs, "Did the talk of traps chill you a little more than the blizzard, my friend?" He steps forward and looks closely at the door, checking it for any identifiable traps (Investigation: 32).
Nephris studies the door and notices that some of the markings on the weather battered door are deliberate in their design. He traces them with his eyes and realises that the door bears the symbol of a death glyph.

"Well, there's no physical traps, but uh..." Nephris steps back a little from the door, "It is marked with a death glyph." He thinks for a moment, then clicks his fingers and smiles at the group, "Well, I can dispel magic on the door, but if anyone else has a better idea, I'm all ears."
"A death glyph? How did I miss that?" Katharine says as shes take a couple of steps closer to the door. "Well, I also know how to dispel magic. Though I wonder if there is another way inside?"
Cade flies up high into the air leaving everyone else on the ground far below. Once inside the tower, he finds himself in a wide room. In the middle of the wide room is a large, stone altar. Four different alcoves in the room hold large orbs that glow with archaic energy, bathing the entire area in bright light.
At the northeastern section of the room, is a huge, red dragon. On top of its head sit a massive pair of antler's, similar to that of a reindeer. The antlers scratch the ceiling above it. Around the dragon's neck is a large collar with a large tag, similar to a dog tag, with the name Max engraved into it. As it sees Cade it begins to snarl at him.

Seeing Cade fly up, Nephris steps back to watch him disappear into a window above. "I feel like that might be a little too far to be the gatehouse. I don't think Cade is going to find a way to open this door in there. Let's not hang around and wait, in case he needs our help." He steps over to the door and grabs his lute, strumming it and singing a quick little tune as he attempts to dispel magics on the door.
Best calls Vixon (owl familiar) back and sends him to follow Cade as he disappears through the opening. Vixon will attempt to view where Cade has gone and Best is viewing the scene, as long as the Vixon is in the 100ft range, through Vixon's senses.
(OOC: I would be willing to fight this battle, but I don't want to take away from the others, since it would take days to finish it. I think my first action will be to go back out the arrow slit. This way I don't take away from the others getting to play as well. Thoughts?)
As Nephris considers casting the dispel magic Best will wake up from watching through the eyes of Vixon to make sure he his helping Nephris with his guidance capability.
Best will then move back at least 60 feet, "I suggest we move back in order to avoid any ill effects of that dangerous marking on the door"
As soon as Best is 60 feet from the door and Aguadiablo and Nephris are with him he will cast aid on the three of them with a 5th level spell slot. (20 increase in max HP and 20 increase in HP for Best, Aquadiable and Nephris for 8 hours)

"And what if it's trapped?" Katharine replies back a smirk.
Edit:
"Although it looks perfectly normal. Though I'm not risking it."
She then steps back a few feet away from the door.
"Just getting out the way just in case you hit will some spell or something."
Nephris chuckles awkwardly as Katharine and Storm go back and forth about breaking the door down. He too, takes a few steps back just in case the door is actually trapped as well.
(Anyone actually going to attempt to open or break down the door?)

Storm just shrugs "Fine look for your traps then." with that he just backs slowly back letting whoever is going to search do their search.

"If there is a window, arrow slits, or other small entrance, I can get inside and open the gate." Cade offers.
(DM Note: There are arrow slits above and windows. I did mention it in the description.)

Cade transforms into an air elemental, then flies up and in through one of the arrow slits, looking around for a way to open the front gate.

(@SpieltJoos You'll need to do an ability check to cast dispel magic, unless you cast it at a higher level)
