Thamior nods along to what Richard is saying as he follows him to the bar. When asked what he'll have, he answers with: "Yeah, an ale will do." When the singing starts, he notices people are surprised by it, so he makes sure to listen carefully. [ History: 17 ] As Richard asks about it, he gives a short overview: "Something about how great Elturel is, how the Hellriders protect it from devils, and something about that artificial sun that protects them from undead. Pretty generic song all in all." "So, you've been to here before, right? As it's full down here, do you reckon they have room for us to sit upstairs?" he continues after a second.
Astra forces a wan smile at the sea shanty, appreciative of the gesture, but her heart is not in it. She rises at Borys’s suggestion, but before she heads for the stairs, she raises her glass in a toast:
“To the lost city of Elturel and its Companion, May they never be forgotten, And may their destruction be avenged!”
Her voice booms out over the din of the tavern. Not truly caring who joins in, and who does not, she then makes for the privy first before mounting the stairs.
”Between the ale and the guard in your song, I must first visit the loo.“
If Astra and Borys are moving to a table upstairs, Kulogall will follow. He goes to the head as well to "drain the lizard. I don't have a cloaca you know. Probably more than you want to know." He will then follow them upstairs and look for another table.
Astra and Kulogall have managed to attract the attention of the customers and the staff alike but for very different reasons. As they get up, stares follow them.
A few men from a nearby table slap him on the back as he goes by still teary-eyed from his song and maybe his performance. On the other hand Astra can glimpse at hands going to concealed weapons and stares going flat and hard.
With all those eyes on them, Thamior and Richard easily slip up to the top floor.
For Thamior and Richard ( and any others who followed ):
There is only a single table with a game going on. A lady, matching the exact description of the captain stands on the one side and three others are facing her. From the wide grin she has and the scowls from the other players it is clear that she is winning and not making any attempt to placate them. The game is in its last rounds.
Several empty glasses fill the table and the floor around them.

Tarina is cheating but the others are too much in their cups to see it. She probably didn't drink as much as them and used the usual ploy to get ahead.
Astra and Kulogall are either in the commons or outside, crossing the small courtyard at the rear of the tavern to go to the loo. (Things are happening fast but there is a bit of leeway.)
For those who stayed downstairs:
Eight motley humans saunter into the tavern. The leader is a brawny man with a cloudy right eye, a cruel sneer, and a pirate’s swagger. The others are an unsavory, rowdy bunch who act as if they own the place.
“We’re looking for an old friend of ours,” says the dead-eyed man. He sniffs the air. “Goes by the name ‘Tarina,’ or so I’m told. Loves to cheat at Baldur’s Bones.”
Most of the customers put their heads down and even the bouncer looks in askance at his boss, eyebrow raised.
The dark-haired slip of a barmaid is the only one to show anger rather than fear and her hands go to her sides as she begins to move to flank the group of humans.
Astra and Kulogall are either in the commons or outside
The new Flaming Fist officer is unused to such talk from the ranks, but perhaps Kulo is just playing up his clandestine role? No, I think not. This is decidedly not the Order. Astra decides to let it pass, regardless.
”Not sure if it was your song or my toast, but I think we have effectively created a distraction. We have company.”
Borys will panic a little on seeing the man enter downstairs. He’ll approach him with a bit of trepidation.
”I’m actually looking for her, too. I have been here for quite some time watching who comes and goes as I look for her, even. I think I may have received old or faulty information. Do you know anyplace else she might be? I’d like to see her after you... do whatever it is you want to see her for.”
Borys stands in front of the large captain as he explains the situation and the man looks straight at him. His eyes squint a little as he is trying to discern the truth of it. (Deception check please.)
On the upper floor Tarina grins at Richard but casts a quick look around to determine what trouble she is in.

Iron relaxes, unclenching a fist, seeing Borys deflect the captain with a well-told lie. For a moment, he begins to forget their own rock-solid information as to Tarina's location.
"If it comes to it, you want run the Bump and Dump, or the Clan Feud? Unless you want to try something else? I can take point, since you're not wanting to get stabbed today..."
((I figure that the pair of them have run ploys similar to cons or grifts in the past that have fun names.))
• Bump and Dump: One of them stumbles into the mark and spills a drink on the mark, getting belligerent in the process. The other can either escalate or try to smooth it over, offer to buy a round, etc.
• Clan Feud: We start an argument, one of us throws a fist/mug/etc. that the other ducks and it hits the mark instead. Chaos ensues.

"Aaaaahhhhh." Kulogall finishes up and walks back out to the courtyard and meets up with Astra. "How do you think they are doing inside? Should we go back to our table or try upstairs? Let's find Borys and see how he is doing. I think I'll hold on any further drinking songs, I'm not sure they liked it. I just wanted to keep the mood light until Richard could make contact."
Iron thumps his mug on the table once, giving the barest of nods. Three outstretched fingers is a sign to hold, however, to see how Borys's approach plays out.
The captain looks at Borys and gives him a large smile. Large enough to see all the missing teeth.
"I got you." He looks around and then at his men. " We will check the other dives around town then come back here. Want me to leave one of the guys? Nhaaaa I can trust you..." There is an evil look in his eyes, promising hurt if you fail to uphold your side of the bargain.
And just as they came they leave.
All around there is a sigh of relief from the gathered customers and staff alike.
The bouncer nods to Borys and the owner moves from behind the bar. " The next round is on me boys."
Borys starts to hyperventilate as soon as the thug leaves. “I’m pretty sure he’s going to kill me. Please tell me some of you can help me avoid an untimely death?”
Kulogall walks back in and sees Borys hunched over “Are you alright? Stomach not feeling so well? Let’s get you back to our table. You looked like you were going to upchuck on the floor right then.” Kulogall guides him back to their table and has a seat. He asks him what happened while he and Astra were in the bathroom.

Durthek gives Redric a glance, speaking quietly in Dwarven.
"Well, Iron, looks like things might be starting. Figure we stay down here and keep an eye out?"

Richard nods at Thamior's explanation of the song.
"Right, well its different."
As the pair get to the top of the stairs and see Tarina playing dice, Richard smiles.

Richards smile widens a bit more as he realises what's going on.
Richard approaches the table.
"Hi Tarina, its been a while. Looks like Lady Luck is smiling on you tonight."
Richard continues to smile, waiting a step or two back from the table, letting the current participants finish their game.
"Maybe I could play next? See how my luck plays against your own?"
Richard gives Tarina a wink at the last comment.
