Gell gives Church one last funny look, and a hesitant nod to Denka before rushing out on the field. Gell then moves to K-4, and seeing Scarab in the distance (120ft Darkvision if it matters) points his staff at the Paladin.
"AHexupon you guardian of light. Let it sheer a piece of that o' so precious divinity you cling to."
A piece of the staff's shadow shoots forth along the water and ground faster than most eyes can follow and visibly clings to Scarab's skin. Although only an illusion, whatever force of personality and beauty the halfling had was but a shadow of former self. Gell then does the mic drop with his staff, and punches forward with the newly freed hand, sending a charred skeletal hand at the paladin next.
Gell casts Hex upon Scarab as a Bonus Action. Target now suffers disadvantage on all Charisma Checks.
Gell casts Chill Touch at Scarab, Hitting an AC: Attack: 22 For: 11 of Necrotic Damage. Plus Bless: 2 added to the hit.
--------------------------------------------------------------------- If the gate on the other side did not open, or Scarab is just outside of 60ft from K-4, the Hex will not be cast, and he would instead have the Chill Touch [action]Ready[/spell] for as soon as enemy becomes visible to him.

(It's a fairly bad map for melee characters as is, with very little cover, long sightlines and difficulty in movement to reach ranged enemies. Perhaps you could add multi-decked ships like the buildings in the village (?) in the future.)

((Warlock Hexblades work well with a Sorcerer tbh. At level 3 Sorcerer you can quicken Eldritch Blast to a bonus action, then cast it again as an action. As a level 5 Warlock/3 Sorcerer, that is 4 blasts... that's 4d10. At 17 Warlock/3 Sorcerer, it is 8d10. AND if you have 20 Charisma (and the proper invocation), then you get a +5 to damage with each blast. So, if I did my math right, that is 8d10+40. Let's roll that to see how much damage that'd be. 87. ALSO, due to Hexblade's curse you crit on a 19 AND get a bonus to your damage, which is your prof and warlock level 17+6 is 23. So if you just do normal attacks it is 8d10+40. But if you curse and crit on a 19, then it is 16d10+126. Let's roll that and see 235. So there is a huge benefit for a Hexblade Sorcerer. :P))
