Violet is distracted by a disgusting smell and strange noise (beyond what's normal for a mostly-human tavern) - but then, what about the brawl and aftermath? Oh decisions, sigh. At least tonight is turning out to be worth sneaking out for...
Shouts of alarm suddenly ring out as a hulking creature climbs up out of the shaft in the middle of the tap-room -- a monster with warty green skin, a tangled nest of wiry black hair, a long, carrot-shaped nose, and blood-shot eyes. As it bares its yellow teeth and howls, you can see that a half-dozen bat-like creatures are attached to its body, with three more circling above it like flies. Everyone in the tavern reacts in fear except for the barkeep, Durnan, who shouts, "Troll!"
Inits:
Troll - 8
Flying things - 12
Durnan - 16
Everyone who passed the perception check gets advantage on this roll.
Drawing his short sword, From Diabhal will run towards the troll and slash out at it. After the strike, Gorm follows up with a spinning kick towards the things midsection.
Shortsword attack vs Troll Attack: 14 Damage: 10
Unarmed Bonus Action vs Troll Attack: 16 Damage: 8
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
We're doing one small murder-y thing for a bigger, better reason. The ends justify the means.
Your first sword attack doesn't seem to he able to cut through the tough hide of the beast easily. However your kick finds purchase and the monster grunts.
Durnan charges at the troll calling out to you, "I've got the ugly bastard. You just take care of the stirges."
He swings his sword four times lopping off bits of the troll with each swing. The beast looks wounded.
The flying bat like creatures swarm down towards the party
Gorm bounces off the Troll and jumps into the air, slashing his sword out at one of the flying whatchamacallits on the way up, punching at another one the way down and landing in a roll before regaining his feet.
As Gorm whatchamacallits he swings a bit wide, forcing the stirge to fly into the second one allowing him to land an easy blow, knocking one of them out of the sky and splattering it on the ground.
(I was waiting to see what the troll did, plus the outcome of the earlier attacks.. I will attack one of the weird birds if any still alive, or the troll if not..)
Jeremiah points at one of the flying things. ‘Mortis’he intones, his voice merging into an echo of a bell tolling throughout the room...
(DC13 Wis ST or it takes 1 necrotic damage, or 5 if it’s already damaged)
The stirge looks down at you as the bell tolls 13, it doesn't seem to notice.
Durnan takes another flurry of blows at the troll, and manages to cut the beast down. He calls out, "Fire we need fire for the bastard!"
The last flying stirge flies down at the boy that just made that annoying ringing in it's ears Attack: 24 Damage: 7. It grabs onto him and it's long needle like snout begins to drain his blood.

Violet doesn't like anything sporting a carrot nose that isn't a snowman, so attacks him.

Cloak falls back and claws come out
Attack: 6
A silver-haired cat-like humanoid is revealed as the cloak falls from her shoulders. (no worries Kaemgan, just teasing)
She hisses and slashes her paws at the strange stinking newcomers. She knows by their scent, they mean bad.

Violet's claws miss the troll as it roars. It looks like most of the tavern is running, many of the adventurers stumbling slightly drunk.
Drawing his short sword, From Diabhal will run towards the troll and slash out at it. After the strike, Gorm follows up with a spinning kick towards the things midsection.

On Violet's turn, she will:
Dash behind anything that gives her cover, double speed if necessary, and pull something small and sharp from the bandolier across her chest
Stealth check (if DM allows) 18
Attack 18
Damage with stealth Attack: 6
Regular damage: Attack: 7
Huh. No worries about stealth lol. Against one of the big black flying canaries.
