Thx, I haven’t changed anything since first go around, and haven’t really thought much about it since but let me know about things you want to flesh out (family names etc.)
Adding a couple more details I thought of: Because it's placed in a human nation, the population of the monastery is at least half humans. It isn't terribly far from Celador, so depending on how common it is for elves to leave the forest, up to a quarter of them might be elves. The rest is a mix of other races.
Most dragonborn hail from a far off nation of islands, ruled by benevolent(ish) dragon overlords. There are also clusters in many coastal cities, mostly refugees from the fairly controlling dragons. Feel like fleshing out where you come from? Just a little detail, Dumasz might be kind of bored. He was asked to join this mission by Undermayor Harbin as he was passing through the town. This was a fortnight ago, just after he sent his other summonses, and you have been waiting around awhile.
I think it makes sense for Dumasz to be one of the refugees, that matches up with the “lordly title but no lands” idea. Dumasz would likely be ex-patriated nobility.
Btw, just stopping by to say I am still totally 100% planning to do the shared backstory with Killlilli, in case that wasn't already really obvious. Also I'm planning to have the fey touched thing be an in-game discovery whenever the character ever needs a reason to use Misty Step. So you could say, Noell doesn't know in-character yet that she is Fey Touched. XD
You view the Sinking Castle Tavern from afar. Far from looking unstable, it is positioned on firm ground on the riverfront. Its location at a bend in the river affords a good view of the river and falls.
It is mid afternoon when you are scheduled to meet with Undermayor Harbin. A bald, bearded man in his mid 40's, the Undermayor Has the Dark skin and hair that marks his heritage from the Summer Kingdoms, where his family originated. He is working with Oleira, the fiery haired female halfling innkeeper, to finish setting the scene for his meeting.
The inn is fairly deserted as it's between lunch and dinner.

Hayeth looks around to look around for anyone else heading for the tavern she quickly checks herself in a nearby window as she approaches making sure she looks as expected
"Well I suppose they'll probably be expecting this face so we should probably enter like this shouldn't we Fay" she says to herself scritching the raven on the head
She brushes her leggings down and makes sure her shirt is at least a little cleaner before entering the inn her long black hair streaming down her human shoulders, she is about 5ft 6 tall with pale skin a lithe build and green eyes and Fay the raven resting on her shoulder she wears simple blackened leather leggings with high boots and a shirt in a similar style although not leather.
Dumasz is standing at the bar, trimming his talons with a long dagger. The silver dragonborn stands well over 6’ tall, and is wearing a large, leather breastplate and skirt beneath a short, fine robe of alternating swaths of black and deep blue. Hanging across his broad shoulders are a longsword, and a chest strapped on. His legs are mostly bare besides the leather skirt.
He waits patiently for the undermayor to get his preparations settled.
Lia follows down the road and into the tavern a moment later. The half-elf is about 5'5 tall, with long, blonde hair and hazel eyes. She wears a flowing, sleeveless red robe over a simple white shirt and pants. A wooden staff sits diagonally across her back.
As she enters, her eyes are immediately drawn to the dragonborn, and then to the raven sitting on the woman's shoulder. She flashes both of them a smile, finding a seat a respectful distance from them and fiddling with the cloth wrappings on her hands until she's spoken to.
"Hah!" says Noell triumphantly as she slides into the tavern quickly. "I knew it! Faster than Vahorn," she smirks. "Must be because I have the gift of alacrity," she says, tossing the long brown ponytail of dreadlocks over her shoulder without fully realizing just how right she would be for the next 8 hours.
Lifting a hand, she waves familiarly at Oleira, a warm smile on her face. "Hey, Oleira! Do I have time for some of the Castle's famous sweetbread before Harbin starts?" she says, sidling up to the bar with a pleading expression. Her bright blue eyes widen almost comically in her face as she clasps her hands under her chin in an exaggerated motion of begging. It's a funny look on a 22-year-old human woman, but Noell has been coming to the tavern long enough that Oleira is well used to her antics.
Harbin seems to be tolerant of her antics as well; perhaps because they share the same dark, dusky skin hinting of their origins. Or perhaps because he's really just waiting for Vahorn to show up too, which puts a smile of satisfaction on Noell's face.
The door to the tavern slams open, a waft of mud and sweat accompanying the arrival of a mud strewn elf. His hair, a tangled dirty mess, carries leaves and acorns, falls over his face as he pushes it aside, revealing his sharp features and piercing green eyes. His greeny-brown tunic is splattered with dirt and leaves, it seems uncared for, unlike the longbow on his back. As he heads to the bar, leaving the door wide open, his eyes dart around he room suspiciously, avoiding eye contact with anybody.
“Don’t.” He cautions Noell, knowing all too well what braggery was about to leave her mouth. He’d managed to keep most of his interactions with humans strictly to business, but this one insisted on constantly irking him since they were children. Though the woods are large, it was fairly often that they’d run into each other or accept jobs together, and though he respected her skill, she was no elf. “What’s the job then? Another group of ignorant nobles getting a taste of the real world?”
Noell sighs. "Always so wound up, Valhorn. Relax a little, Undermayor Harbin hasn't even started talking about it yet. Why don't we take this time to get to know the others?" She leans in closer to whisper under her breath, "Look, he's right over there! The dragonborn everyone's been talking about! He must be here for the job too. Let's get to know him! I thought he'd be bigger, really, but he's not even that much taller than me... Well okay, maybe he is, but still!" She grins and elbows Valhorn, daring him to follow her as she pushes off from the bar and approaches Dumasz.
"So, hey there!" she says a little more loudly. "Name's Noell. You've been the talk of the town, you know? We don't get many dragonborn around these parts. You're the first I've ever seen. How'd you hear of our little community? Did Undermayor Harbin send out for you?" She's brimming with curiosity, but her questions are friendly and good-natured, and the smile she directs to the dragonborn is genuine.
