OOC: Yep, and group initiative helps that. If I have to wait on one of the other players to post, then the DM post for an NPC, then a second PC, and then I can finally post, but I only have thirty minutes right now available today where I could write a post... I end up not posting at all for today. If instead, the only time I'm waiting is for the DM to resolve the last round before the next PC round, there's a lot more chance I will be able to post something with the time I am available to do so.

Real life i probably going to make me a bit erratic for the next few weeks, due to my team unexpectedly getting cut in half.
That aside.... Let's try the group initiative. Call this the top of the round. All PCs post, then all NPCs
The wagons are circling ahead of the Word, which is still sailing at a good clip, it's bag now intact.
High above, Druaz responds, "Uh, what did you have in mind?"
Xial is going to hit the ground, by end of the round. Rhyming makes it hurt more.
Gouging into the ground, and incidentally annihilating that formerly groggy goat, the Hungry Sky continues to tear forward, plowing the earth like a giant's farm implement, both ballista now set aflame. The force required negates the possibility that this ship is propelled in any normal manner.
Laitraxa sees that things are going from bad to worse, as she spies a small figure below propelled from the hostile ship, plummeting to the earth below. Nothing I can do about that one, either.
"That ship. There is nothing normal about it... and you may be lucky that you've had the chance to leave it the way you did. Perhaps we can send her crashing to the ground for good. Now... hold on tight."
The dragon starts a steeper dive, folding her wings completely in to pick up speed and close the gap to the Reaver's Word at a faster rate.
Move and Dash - Dive for 50% extra speed (how far are we from the two ships after?)
Jenaer chuckles maniacally as he aims the ballista at the lizard woman on top of the other ship. “Farewell, please try to stay intact from the fall, would hate to bruise that lovely meat.”
Now that the Hungry Sky is nap of the earth too, Eclipse will arc away from the orcs to starboard, and reduce speed enough to allow Laitraxa (and the Sky) to close with the Word. Is there any terrain within view which would allow him to quickly gain a height advantage?

Since Druaz (the lizardwoman) isn't on the ship, do you want to say you aimed that shot at the ship? Theena (the pixie) is in view, and while it's a bit meta, you'd probably guess the PC has a better AC than 11.
Is there any terrain within view which would allow him to quickly gain a height advantage?
You're on the plains, so there's not a lot of height to speak of. There's a copse of trees within about one round's movement, but that's it. They're about one story tall.

Okay, thanks. Not worth it. Continuing as per Post #48 above.

(OOC: Just my two cents on initiative. I definitely got lost once we were no longer using it and generally prefer to have it in some form. And for games that I run, unless it's in person, I tend to roll initiative and saves for my PCs so the game's not held up; though with your initiative score system that is less of an issue.)
(So if I'm understanding things correctly, Xial and Kembe are dead, Druaz is captured, Cinnabar is stuck in the cabin and the Word is a few hundred feet in the air while the Sky is "skating" on the ground?)
OOC: I think there might be a fleeting moment to save Xial, but if nothing is done this PC round, Xial's dead. Either Theena can try some crazy dash to try and save Xial, or Tyrod can Featherfall (he mentioned doing it before, if Xial is in range then perhaps)
I also think both ships are roughly co-altitude, the Sky scraped the ground but is still in pursuit like a possessed demon, but I don't know exact ranges. The Word has started a turn so that Laitraxa can close in, but that also means the Sky can pull lead and close in as well.
I agree. Kembe is gone, Xial is airborn and probably dead if nothing is done. Druaz is being carried. Xial will pass over Tyrod, so Tyrod has the option of saving them. And yes, the Sky is trailing after the Word.
(Would Theena be in range at all to try and save Xial? Even if it's some crazy stunt? She can technically move 120ft on foot or 160ft by gliding using her cunning action)
Jenaer calls over to Eclipse, “Looks like Laitraxia‘s belly is yellower than her scales! If she doesn’t drop that lizardwoman, we’ll be seen as weak! Give the order!”

“Seen as weak? By whom? My carnivorous friend, I trust Laitraxa’s judgment, and she’s bringing someone new and exciting to meet, so you should be pleased! Target the Hungry Sky’s airbag! Ground her and let the Orcs feast on her planks!”

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
If its possible there's a reasonable chance of success, Theena's first thought would be to to try to "tackle" the falling Xial into one of the wagons, hoping that it might be soft enough lesson the damage from the fall.
If that's not a possibility, she'd instead fire a shot at the one who killed her friends (Jenaer) before dashing into the cabin (as a bonus action using Cunning Action) to reach Cinnebar and say, "Kembe and Xial are gone and Druaz has been captured by a dragon. I think it's time to go."
Attack: 18
Attack Advantage (if the stealth roll from earlier still applies): 14

We've still got some PC actions to declare.
(Yes sorry, I got a little confused there - also knowing that the pixie is a PC so even more Meta - I’d attack the ship)

In theory, I suppose, but I'm stumped as to what you would do. Dashing uses up your action.
