Tommary dives down into the muck without a ripple or splash.

He finds the wheel connected to the drain.

Tommary the Unworthy Human Eel, swim slinks to the surface just enough to send message to whoever in the party is closest, "Found the flush wheel, lemme know when you're all hanging on and I'll spin it.

“Hang on to something everyone! Ily, you got that Rod of yours? Here’s some rope for us all. Everybody ready?”

"Ohhh I hate this bit..."

Ilyara draws free her magic stick and clicks it into place.  Fastening as much rope to it as she can convince the others to give up, the furling actively ties herself off this time, fastening her own rope around her waist.  "Traveler, Walker of Ways, Befuddler of Buffoons...grant me your guidance and please help me not wind up in th' bowels of this evil plumbing..."

Toots carefully ties herself and Elyona off on Ily’s magic stick and messages Tommary the all clear.

Tommary the Unworthy and Underpaid Underwater Seplunker swims back to the wheel lashes himself to the wheel with a set of his manacles and tries to open up the valve with a turn.  Athletics 12 at disadvantage because Tommary actually isn't amphibious.

A few bubbles escape from Tommary's mouth as he puts the twist on the wheel. He can feel the pull of water as vents open up below him. The more he turns, the greater the pull of the flush.

The rest of the party sees a change happen slowly at first then a whirlpool forms in the pit as water and sludge sweep past and into the hole. The water pulls hungrily and squeaking rats and a vampire fish or two sweep by. Without the aid of rope and knots, surly somebody would be swept down as well!

Minutes of tugging water pass before the liquid levels drop and eventually stop flowing.

Toots messages Tommary: “Can you leave it open so this toilet stays flushed?”

Tommary the Unworthy message back, "Checking." He then unshackle himself from the wheel and will try to assess whether he can leave the vents open or if there's a mechanism associated with the wheel that closes the vents upon release to start the refill process.  Investigation 27.

message "Might need some help sorting this."

“I’ll be right there, hol’up a minute, we gotta get untied.” Once untied Toots goes to help Tommary.

The vent openings are large enough to swallow a foxling easily, but a human could squeeze through.

Perhaps a combination of rope and spikes could tie the spokes of the wheel to vents in order to keep it open?

The drain leads into the darkness with a slight breeze.

“Ely, you’re strong, you got those great big muscles. Could you please help us rig this thing to stay open?”

Elyona joins Toots and Tommary in the task of wedging/tying the drain open.

The group secures the wheel and vents with rope and spikes, 

"Hey wake up cuties, bad guys on the way." *from the direction of lightly toasted*

Was there an A-Team style guitar solo during that whole spiking and roping montage?

Toots readies a dirge, just in case, and attempts to hide if there’s time. (Stealth: 15) 🤞
