When you give a character the Astral Drifter background, it doesn't add the Magic Initiate feat automatically. If you add it manually, you still can't choose the cleric cantrips or spell that you're supposed to get.
I am having the same issue. Magic Initiate allowed me to add my additional 1st level spell but not the two cantrips
I figured it out> if you choose the Magic Initiate from SpellJammer then you need to manually add the Background Feature by going to the the Feats page, Manage Feats, ADD Magic Initiate. .... Then you need to go back in to the Manage Feats and it gives you the option to add your two cantrips and one 1st level spell.

The first space hamsters were created by wizards who used magic to shrink giant space hamsters to wee size, leading their creators to refer to them as miniature giant space hamsters. The magic also made the space hamsters smarter and telepathic.

Do you know why the stat block is named just space hamsters and not miniature giant space hamster? Was it because "miniature giant space hamster" was too long a name?
If I was playing and the DM said space hamster, I would ask, "What type of space hamster?". Because, to me mechanically the term space hamster is the same type of terminology as dog or goblinoid, as such I perceive it as too inaccurate of a description to tell me what creature I am encountering.
The mods don't have any input on these sorts of decisions, and D&D Beyond in general probably doesn't either. It's a decision made by Wizards during the creation of the book.
My Giff Cleric's walking speed is listed as being 20ft when Giff's have a 30ft walking speed? I don't understand why?
Are they proficient in the armour they're wearing? Are they over-encumbered? Click on their speed in the character sheet, is there any manual reduction or overriding speed?

"Heavy Armor. Heavier armor interferes with the wearer’s ability to move quickly, stealthily, and freely. If the Armor table shows "Str 13" or "Str 15" in the Strength column for an armor type, the armor reduces the wearer’s speed by 10 feet unless the wearer has a Strength score equal to or higher than the listed score."

Could this be the issue?
OH! Goodness, thank you so much! Yeah, this is the problem. My poor sweet bean has a strength of 10. Thanks for explaining - I almost never play heavy armor classes, so I've never run into this problem before!
I have purchased the Compendium content for Spelljammer to supplement a gift of the book to my son - he wants to DM, and I want to create a campaign and share that content so that he can DM, but none of the compendium content is available to me or the players (my family only) either within the campaign or outside the campaign.
I login as [REDACTED], please resolve the order issue quickly, ideally today, because winter break is over on Monday.
Notes: Do not share login credentials, even just email, on a public forum
I should add - the spelljammer content is also shared with me by another DM who runs a campaign I am in. If I create the content in his campaign, I can see it. So, what appears to be happening is that the deny from his sharing in my campaigns is overriding the allow from purchasing the compendium content. No doubt if I had spent the full $50 on the books (which are shared with me and I also purchased a hardcover book for my son), it would work.

In the campaign you are attempting to share content via, do you (or any other player in that campaign) have a Master Tier subscription and have enabled content sharing?
Have you gone into “Manage Content Sharing” and clicked Share All for everything? Access Content Sharing by being Master Tier and creating the campaign from that account. I’ve got the same book and I’m sharing it fine.

Yup, subscription still shows "Master Tier". The important point here is that I can see the "Plasmoid" race when I create a character in another's campaign, but I don't see Plasmoid even if I create a character outside of sharing. So, dndbeyond is concluding that I don't have access to that content.

If you just bought the Compendium, instead of the full digital version, you don't get access to the D&D Beyond parts, just the book text.
I'm unable to create a character with a Spelljammer race. Everything is synced.
I presume you purchased Spelljammer here? I thought maybe there would be a toggle on the home page, but there doesn't appear to be. Please post a link to your character, and maybe a mod can help. (Those of us who aren't mods won't be able to see/change what we need to in order to sort it out).

Why is there no Miniature Giant Space Hamster stat block?
Was the "space hamster" suppose to be Miniature Giant Space Hamster, I do not know?
From the description of space hamster
