Flee, Mortals! The MCDM Monster Book is an epic bestiary containing rules for action-oriented creatures, minions, companions, retainers, encounter-building, and more!
Once completed, your content should appear! If you experience any issues accessing your content please contact our Support Team.
ENABLING CONTENT FOR YOUR CHARACTER
To use content from Flee, Mortals! or Where Evil Lives in the character builder, you will need to set the character preferences to include the MCDM source category (see the .gif below).
RULES PRIMER
When you purchase Flee Mortals! and/or Where Evil Lives, you will automatically be granted a third source called Flee, Mortals! Rule Primer. This book serves as a hub for the most commonly shared rules between Flee, Mortals! and Where Evil Lives and will be utilized whenever the listings refer to one of those rules. This way, regardless of the book you purchase, you'll always be sent to the correct location.
NEW MONSTERS
Duplicate monster names.There are 38 monsters in Flee, Mortals! that share names with existing monsters on D&D Beyond. To avoid confusion and distinguish between the two, “(MCDM)” has been added to the end of each Flee, Mortals! monster’s name (ex. Ankheg (MCDM)).
Creature roles. This book features 12 unique creature roles, which are included in the stat block next to the CR. To help you find and sort by these monsters, their roles have been added as subtypes and have been tagged accordingly.
There are a few things of note:
Companions: This book features 31 companion monsters. As Companions rely on a character's CR/Level to scale its stats, we're unable to support them at this time.
Retainers: This book features 22 retainer monsters. As Retainers rely on a character's CR/Level to scale its stats, we're unable to support them at this time.
Minions: Please note that Minions as a whole are not intended to have Hit Dice attached to their stat blocks. However, due to system limitations, we have to present them with Hit Dice. While these calculations are accurate as far as ensuring that it adds up to the intended HP, only the initial HP value (without the hit dice) should be used. For more information on how Minions work, refer to the Flee, Mortals! Rules Primer.
In addition, Minions also use a nonstandard method CR/XP progression which is unsupported for monster stat blocks. Until we're able to support this, Minions have had their CR removed from the stat block, and we have created a new trait called Challenge in order to represent its CR and Proficiency Bonus.
Demons: Demons have a number of unique rules to be aware of, especially as their presentation varies when using the listings on DDB.
The amount of Souls that a demon has devoured (normally represented underneath the Demon's HP) have been moved to the traits section as a trait called Soul Count.
The Soulsight sense has been moved from the Senses section to the Traits section as a trait called Soulsight. This trait also contains the rules for using Soulsight.
NEW CONDITIONS
There are 2 new conditions in these books: dazed and flanked. We're currently unable to support new conditions, so these conditions have been added as traits in the traits section of monster stat blocks, with links to their relevant rules.
PSIONIC POWERS
There are 15 new psionic powers located in these books, outlined in each book and in the Flee, Mortals! Rules Primer. While Psionic Powers are unsupported on DDB, monsters that rely on one of these psionic powers will include a link to the relevant section.
So I see that you can bundle Where Evil Lies with Flee, Mortals but the issue is that its not on the Marketplace currently. I would really like to bundle and buy both but I'm not going to waste money and pay more now if I just have to wait
Any chance we can get Where Evil Lies in the Marketplace today so folks can bundle now? Love to have access to Flee Mortals today but not gonna buy if I cant bundle.
I'm having an issue I've never had before. I purchased Flee Mortals! but am unable to access it (I have already attempted the "sync entitlements" fix to no avail.) When I attempt to access the book, instead I am given the option to add it to my cart (along with the message that "You already own this digital content")
So if Where Evil Lurks is not released until the 28th, do we get the bundle price if we already have Flee Mortals in our library when it releases or do we just have to wait until the 28th to buy them as a bundle? Seems silly to offer a bundle price for the two books and then have them release two weeks apart. You'd think there would at least be a pre-order for Where Evil Lurks so it actually appears as a bundle option.
Edit, never mind, used the direct link provided above and was able to add the Where Evil Lives pre-order and get the bundle price
So, I bought Flee, Mortals! before I saw the note about the bundle option, would I be able to preorder Where Evil Lives at a discount once it's in the Marketplace? If not, is there a way to cancel my order for Flee, Mortals! so that I can wait on the bundle to be available?
Also, as mentioned, I bought Flee, Mortals!, and I've done the Sync Entitlements process, but I still can't access it! Every time I click on the book in my "Sources" library, it brings me back to the Marketplace...
Edit: I can now see Where Evil Lives in the Marketplace, and can bundle both books - so can I cancel my previous order and process a new one? Or, is there a way to get the discount applied to Where Evil Lives if I just order that on its own?

Same, purchased the book and it shows in the sources list but just goes to the marketplace, and even says "You own this digital product" on the marketplace page
Not sure if anyone else is getting this issue, but the book only shows up under Sources > View All and scrolling down to Flee, Mortals or if I specifically search for a monster by name in the search bar. It does not show up under Sources > Source Books like Humblewood and other partner content does. It also does not show up as a drop down option when doing an advanced search when going to the Game Rules > Monsters page and going to the advanced filters options. Other partner content (like Humblewood) does show up there. It would be really nice to be able to do a search and filter for just Flee, Mortal! monsters!

Flee, Mortals! and Where Evil Lives are published by MCDM.
Both titles are also supported within our Maps tool!
Syncing Entitlements
If you don’t see any of the content from the book, please be sure to resync your entitlements. You can do so by following these steps:

I purchased the bundle, but can’t download the book in the mobile app. I dont have the option: just the option to go to the marketplace

The issue seems to have been fixed for me.
Me as well. I love Flee Mortals! So happy to not have to enter in some of the stat blocks manually if I want to use the encounter builder
Not sure if anyone else is getting this issue, but the book only shows up under Sources > View All and scrolling down to Flee, Mortals or if I specifically search for a monster by name in the search bar.
