That's very cool. Do you know if any of these have had any material changes made to them for the 2024 rules, or was it more along the lines of just copying and pasting everything?
So what are we missing now? Critical Role Gunslinger, Humblewood Tales, Griffon's Saddlebag 2, Heliana's Vol 1? For player content at least?
IDK about Illrigger/Blood Hunter or if they need to be fixed since they are whole classes, and LOTR is kind of its own separate game.
Gunslinger is a bit odd since it was a digital only release, Humblewood Tales I would expect since they went to the trouble with the campaign setting. Griffon's I'm optimistic for since they are launching Vol 1 in 2024, and it would be bizarre to have Vol 1 be '24 compatible but Vol 2 not be. I'm not so sure about Heliana's since its part 2 is also launching in 2014 and already has all those release issues related to the cut class and everything.
This update addressed a number of subclasses that could only be used by selecting the 2014 version of a PHB class. Those can now be used on the 2024 classes as well.
Gunslinger was indeed missing from the initial list but has already been fixed.
The subclasses from HWT, GSB2, and HGTMH1 are already available on both, so no changes were needed for those today.
Illrigger, Blood Hunter, and LOTR don’t contain any subclasses for the PHB classes, so they likewise don’t apply.

I believe the Obojima subclasses are mechanically updated, based on what 1985games has said on Reddit, but I haven't looked myself
Do we know if they will be viewable in the compendium under the 2024 classes with the other 2024 partnered content?
Not likely considering official 2014 subclasses don't show up under the 2024 classes in the compendium
If they have mechanically changed then surely they can be considered proper 2024 subclasses and be displayed with those classes.
While I couldn't say for certain, it's unlikely they've mechanically changed beyond level shifts where necessary. This would be just like the 2014 PHB etc subclasses such as Necromancer. Those were just tweaked when being applied to 2024 classes so they line up on the progression

Some have been HEAVILY rewritten.
Some are just 2024-compliant in terminology & scaling.
So it's kinda 50/50 on that front.

Always study & sharpen philosophical razors. They save a lot of trouble.
There are still issues with the paladin subclass spells not being properly applied to character sheets as always prepared.
I think these two are considered to be "working properly" -- the subclasses didn't give auto-prepped spells before, so they still don't.
I don't agree with this -- the class has changed how it treats subclass spells, so the behavior should be consistent -- but it's how all non-updated warlock and paladin subclasses behave AFAIK. I've had to do homebrew hackery to make both hexblade and redemption work right for my players.

That's true for Warlock subclasses, but not for Paladin subclasses.
Paladin subclasses have always had "always prepared" subclass-specific spells, in both 2014 and 2024 rules. None of the 2014 ones (even official ones) actually do this when they're used on the 2024 Paladin class, though; that's been a bug ever since the introduction of the 2024 class.

ModeratorAll I know is what's in the changelog. Sorry. 😅
A quick check of Shadow Gnawer seems to be identical between the two, though.

Okay cool. Guess I hadn't checked on the others in a bit.
Might need to go over the ported & updated subclasses again.
A ton of them haven't had everything fully fixed.
The ones I could find are the Umbral Binder & Waxwork Rogues, and the Lantern & Mother of Sorrows Warlocks.

ModeratorCan you be more specific? What issues are you seeing in those subclasses?

The Rogues were missing key dropdown options last time I checked.
& The Warlocks weren't autoprepping their Patron Spells.
