Rangers have always added their proficiency bonus to some stats, so if you make it work for these new stat blocks will you also make it work for the Beastmasters original ability?
There's a difference and one that may seem fairly subtle/nuanced to most people - all of those beastmaster ranger companions take regular monster statblocks and modify them.
The problem we have now is that there are monsters from both spells and class/subclass features that don't have a base monster to modify - they only exist within the bounds of that spell or feature and their stats are based upon the character.
It's not something we predicted to happen, but here we are, and our system design doesn't support it.
It's become more obvious to us that we need a solution to handle companions, sidekicks, summoned monsters etc that have stats based upon the character - they need to be dynamic.
When it was just a couple of edge cases, we implemented those monsters as "CR: 0" monsters, and generated some rules to modify the statblock via the EXTRAS section of the character sheet, but this carries with it problems - we now have monsters in the monster listings and encounter builder that aren't technically correct. When someone is creating a low-level encounter, it's not good that these monsters would be suggested as suitable "CR: 0" opponents, when they really aren't.
Adding more such monsters to the existing listings will make this situation even more problematic and create more work to unpick in the future.
I know this isn't what people want to see, but it's where we are and it IS something we're committed to implementing and resolving.
Sorry, yes the only new spells are summon spells. But they added to the availability of spells to druids, enlarge/cone of cold. Those are not populating in my list.
The OCF (Optional Class Features) in Tasha's Cauldron of Everything are just that - optional.
If you head over to look at the spell lists for a class, you won't see those spells on there for that reason *.
Selecting any OCF you wish to use for a character is a choice based upon agreement between the DM & player.
* Note - chapter 3 of Tasha's Cauldron of Everything does present new spells that are added to spell lists, as per any sourcebook that presents additional spells. There is indeed some overlap with the OCF presented in chapter 1, where some classes state that there is an option to add spells that are presented in chapter 3 as part of that class' spell list already.
Sorry for the tangent, but will the overhauled sidekick/summoning system also be applied to artificer turrets? I currently always forget where to track turret HP on the sheet or where I chose which one to summon, so moving everything to the new place would help at for least me.
I chose Fey Touched (Wisdom) on a character with 15 on that score and it did not increase to 16.
If you are doing character creation, the changes wont show propely until you get to the point where you can view the sheet. Once you view the sheet, the feat will correctly adjust your stats. I had to this problem with telekentic feat, It wasnt showing a stat increase until I went through and choose my class and then viewed sheet then the stats changed accordingly.

Thanks. That did the trick. It's still strange that it doesn't show up until you view the sheet proper though. I don't recall this having been a problem with the UA version of the feat.
When making a Lizardfolk character, if you check the "Origin Ability Score Increase" box on the Origin Manager Tab, it will not let you select the ability scores on the "Racial Traits" tab as it has for other races in my experience.
Edit: this appears to only happen sometimes. After making my original post just a minute or two ago, I went back in and opened the character editor once again. This time it worked correctly.
My 1st choice favored enemy is not listed in the pull down menu. In the character sheet it says i still have that choice listed as one of my favorite enemies, but won't let me choose a language associated with it.
My original 1st choice was Giant with Minotaur as my preferred language. Now Giant is no longer an option for 1st or 6th level option for favored enemy. But Giant is still showing up on my character sheet, even if a make new 1st and 6th choices.

In the Ranger fix, Humanoids are missing from the choices. Posting here since the Ranger update thread was prematurely locked...
Yeah, looks like whatever your original level 1 choice was, it's missing from the drop-down menu because the system is automatically carrying it over from your previous choices, which is why it's still showing on the character sheet. And because it isn't in the drop-down menu, there's no way to choose the associated language. This has been mentioned in comments on the changelog and now here as well, so hopefully it'll be picked up and fixed.
Another Favored Enemy bug: Humanoids can no longer be selected from the drop down menu, but I had them selected before the update and that choice seems to be lingering on the character sheet even though I’ve not selected any choices after the update.
So I still can't see the roving and tireless features on my ranger sheet, I changed it's level and all and still nothing. it doesn't show up in edit nor on the character sheet.
I own both Eberron: Rising from the Last War and Tasha’s cauldron of everything, but now that Tasha's came out some of the Eberron content sends me to the market place to buy it.
For example if I try to look at the Revenant Blade Feat it sends me to the marketplace where the page indcates "You already own this".
Is this just a "me bug", or are others having this problem too?
Was today's Ranger fix supposed to correct the "snippet data generates error message on the character sheet" issue? I am still getting the "scalevalue - No level scale data available" error message on Favored Foe if it was.

I believe today's fix was only meant to address the issue of Favored Foe replacing just the one instance of Favored Enemy as opposed to all three.
If I'm not mistaken, the Scalevalue issue may actually go beyond the Ranger.
FYI if the Ranger issue with Favorite Enemy should be fixed! Please refresh your character sheets and repick your favorite enemy info and it should all work as expected! If there is still an issue please post a link to your character sheet!
The issue with Favored Foe's snippet generating an error message is a separate issue than what we were working on with this update, and is still being tracked and worked on in this thread.

I just did exactly that and it functions correctly.
Please check that you don't have the ability score manually overriden on the character sheet (see image below)?
As always, if you feel there is an issue with your character, please provide a link to that character sheet so we can take a look.

The ranger 'favoured enemy' issue has been posted as a new bug thread and that seems to be where Lauren is responding, so probably best to move over to there: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/bugs-support/90737-issue-with-ranger-favored-enemy-update

The optional feature for Primal Companion is not there either, but other than that I've noticed no other bugs with it. Keep up the great work!!
