I have access to Tasha's Cauldron of Everything. I am building an Elf Ranger. I don't see the Deft Explorer as an option to replace the Natural Explorer in the Class Options for 1st Level. Is there something I am missing?

Do you have the "Optional Class Features" toggle under "Optional Features" on the Home screen of the Character Builder activated? That actually enables optional class features for the particular character. Then, on the Class screen you can select the "Optional Feature Manager" tab to see all of the optional features.
I did have the Optional Class Features turned on. I didn't realize that I had to check the Deft Explorer option under the Optional Feature Manager. Thank you for the help.
Does anyone know if I need to purchase the entire book of Tasha's for access to the Ranger optional features? I know you can pay for just portions of the content for characters, I can't really afford the whole book, when I'm just trying to build a ranger.
I didn't have to buy the book. My character is in a campaign where the book was shared. As long as the character is a member of the campaign, I have access to the features out of Tasha's Cauldron of Everything.

True, content sharing is the other way to access the optional class features.
Can you still not replace sorcerer subclass spells as Tasha's allows? Seems kinda crazy that a known issue has existed for 2 years and still hasn't been fixed, or at least if it has, I cannot seem to find the solution when I build my sorcerer character.
I was just working on another aberrant mind sorc this evening (my complaint is many...many...many pages up - surrounded by individuals going "jeez, give them a chance, they'll fix it soon enough) - and afaict, there's still not built-in mechanism to handle it.
Which is indeed unacceptable.
I would advise making some magic rings that don't require attunement - one for each spell, and then change the names of spells you've given up.
Why is creating a homebrew copy of the subclass and manually editing the subclass spells a more realistic solution than DDB just…doing it? 😭 Like, that is wild to me

What's silly is how little actually needs to be changed to make it work as well; it's already possible in homebrew to have selectable spells (i.e- a Bard's Magical Secrets).
So really all we need is a) the ability to set a default spell (so that each spell entry starts with a default choice as listed in the table), and b) the ability to restrict any choices to only certain spell schools (which we know is possible because we can already restrict by other criteria and every spell must have a spell school). The second part isn't even a requirement (just leave it to the player/DM to restrict themselves if they want).
In terms of the Homebrew editor we just need a checkbox for "Spell choice has default selection", this will tell the character builder that if a single specific spell is entered then it should be set as a default choice in a dropdown menu. The spell entry should then otherwise function identically to one that does not have a specific spell entered, i.e- let the player choose from the default choice or any spell that meets the rest of the spell entry's criteria.

I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
I bought Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything on October 30th and I cannot see it as playable for my campaigns. I only have it as shared content since I have another campaign with other DM. Can you please help? I have the ticket of the purchase If you need it. Thanks

You can, if you have the Wizard optional class feature that enables it.

Okay, so I own a copy of the sourcebook. How do I enable this optional feature in D&D Beyond?

The Optional Class Features are locked behind purchasing the entire book.
